In this video, I have given a final detailed review of this tabletop dishwasher listing out all the pros and cons based on my usage over the last 3 months.
One point I've forgotten to mention in the video is that, among all the 6 program cycles available, the Mini program of 35 minutes can be used for washing/rinsing unused utensils or washing very very light load. If soiled dishes are loaded in those program, cleaning will not be good. Also the program does not run the full 35 minutes but gets over most of times within 22 or 23 minutes.

@@chinnu1989 It is. You can keep plates, mixie jar, spoons, ladles, cups, small vessels, and a small kadai. Keeping the cooker will be tough, but considering the price I am super happy with the product. I've been using it for two years now
@arunshankars8398 thanks for your reply Arun. You can actually keep cookers of various sizes in this dishwasher. I wash them regularly.
@chinnu1989 you may have to run the dishwasher twice or thrice instead of once if there are more members and there are more utensils to be washed in a day.

Thanks to you, I bought this dishwasher. Wow! Such a relief! I have been using it for 6 months now. Such a smooth experience and far better than having maids. If your water is on the harder side and the problem does not get sorted even after changing the settings, try using some other detergent.

Hi Aakash, I have been using Voltas Beko for the last 15 months, and i am happy with the cleaning efficiency of the machine.
Ma'am which mode of washing is more economical in terms of electricity consumption and gives decent cleaning, like cleaning of pressure cooker and Kadahi. Please do comment based on your experience and for the benefit of all your audience.
Hi, the most economical mode in the Eco mode in any dishwasher though it takes the maximum time as it consumes the least water and power. Usually most dishes come out clean in this mode.
But if the stains on the kadhais are very tough, then it is better to opt for the Intensive mode.
In this table top model even the Normal mode gives good cleaning from my experience.

Ma'am one more query please tell whether "Clean and shine" program is economical in terms of electricity consumption in comparison to "Eco" mode based on your usage experience. Your reply will be very beneficial as I will be able to reduce my electricity consumption.
@sdsd3993 hi, Clean and Shine though runs only for 90 min, it consumes more power than the Eco mode which is longer.
The Wash and Rinse temperatures are higher in Clean and Shine as compared to Eco.
The Clean and Shine consumes 1.15 units/cycle where as the Eco program consumes only 0.72 units/cycle.
Hope this helps you in choosing your programs.
But overall a dishwasher does not consume much power , even if you use a combination of program cycles. Yog can decide your program based on the amount of soiled dishes in each load.

1. Assume within 30 days if I am running this machine for 2 times a day (60 times for 30 days), what is cost of its soap, salt and rinse for 30 days for 1 hr 30 min wash every run?
2. Does need high voltage socket, or Regular socket will work?
Hi Kiran, I am assuming your water to be medium (soft not too hard). Also different brands of consumables are priced differently. I have assumed an average cost if you go for mid range products like Bosch or Vim.
For 60 cycles, your requirement would be 1 kg salt, 1 bottle rinse aid 500ml and 1.2 to 1.5 kg detergent. The approx cost would come to ₹800.
This could increase or decrease based on your water hardness and corresponding settings.
Yes you need a high voltage socket of 15 A.

@@BhuvanaAdi I started using today. My initial impression was that this is a bit small. I will see if I can try arranging the plates properly. Maybe I will figure out the right knack in a few days. Hopefully. I have a 10-day return policy from Flipkart, but don't want to return it now after having gone through the hassles of ordering/demo/plumbing/buying dishwasher powder.
@@arunshankars8398 it is actually ideal for 2-3 persons as I've mentioned in my review. In case you are not able to load fully at one go, you can run the machine once more with another load.

Hi @kamala ramakrishnan, actually it is difficult to load 12" x 12" vessel, in this table top model. You can do so if you remove the upper rack.

What's the weight of the machine madam.. can we lift and place somewhere when finished cleaning? Thanks for your honest review...
Hi, the weight of the dishwasher is 25.5 kgs which makes it difficult to lift it everytime.
Moreover it requires permanent water connection for inlet and drainage for outlet, hence not recommended to keep moving the machine.

I'm using Finish products, though I have tried many brands in the last 12 years. But much depends on your water quality. You also get detergents of various brands at different price ranges. If your water quality is good you can go for the Finish brand of products (detergent, salt and rinse aid) as they are more suitable for soft to medium hard water.

Hi Purvi, Sorry for the delayed reply. Voltas Beko DF15A is definitely an advanced model with lot of features. If you look at features, 15A is definitely better than SMS46KI03I. But it's availability appears to be a question mark. At most times it is out of stock on most websites. So there is always a fear of short supply of support and spares (if needed) . There is also the fear of the model getting discontinued by the company. But a few of my users who have bought this are happy with it. So you could decide based on all these factors. Thanks.

With my experience of using Bosch for more than 11 years, I can say that Bosch is a very reliable brand and also gives good cleaning results.

Yes Bosch is currently out of stock. Regarding Faber and
LLoyd( Havells) I do not have personal experience. So I am not sure whether I am qualified to comment about them. Faber is mainly a company making hoods and chimneys. Havells is an industrial (and steadily expanding into consumer) electrical brand. But after this lockdown, numerous brands have got into dishwashers due to the sudden demand and the shortage of reputed brands. Brands like Bosch, Beko, Whirlpool, IFB (and many brands) have been in dishwasher field for many decades and hence have lot of R & D behind them. You can also expect them to be in the market for many more years. Most other recently introduced brands are sourcing readymade dishwashers from China. I am not dissuading from any brand or favouring any brand. Just sharing based on what I have read/learnt. You can choose based on personal preference and other factors. It is very much possible that these brands like Faber, Lloyd and others work well. Dishwasher technology is the same, except that performance/reliability will be based on quality of critical parts like motor, PCB, etc., used inside them. Also after sales service and spare parts availability should not be an issue if there is a need. The brand should not stop selling dishwashers if they find less sales. So please check and satisfy yourself on these factors. You can read buyer's reviews/comments which will give some idea, before taking a decision. Thanks.

Hi Sushma, thanks for that query. Choosing the right brand of detergent is dependent on your water hardness and quality. Some brands like Finish work well for soft water and some others like Fortune work well for hard water. One thing I noticed is my stainless steel kadhai is getting some heat spots since I started using the dishwasher. They weren't there before. Have you ever faced this or any idea about it? I usually use the eco mode.

Hi Narya, there are two cutlery trays with slots which is to be placed on the top rack One above the other. All spoons, ladles, forks etc. can be placed on these.

I am located in Mumbai, am buying appliances for my new house from Vijay Sales. For some reason, they don't stock Tata Beko products, they are recommending Hafele Counter Top DW with almost the same specs as Beko. Do you have any views on Hafele? I also read somewhere that most DW are imported from Turkey and labeled under different brand names (hence all give similar performances). I can understand there can be after-sales support issues with Hafele! Let me know your comments. Thanks.
Hi sorry for the delay. I was out of station. You are right, some products are manufactured by the same company and branded and supplied for the different companies. Many companies like Hafele, Godrej, Faber, Lloyd sell table top dishwashers which are almost identical. Regarding the after sales service of Hafele I cannot comment as I have not used any Hafele product. Please decide on which brand to purchase after considering all factors. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Hi Kiran, I do not know how many people are there in your family.
This tabletop model is ideal for 2 or 3 persons only, for that too, at times you may have to load twice a day when needed.
If there are more than 3 persons then definitely you have to run two cycles per day.
We have a family of 4, and if I am using the Beko tabletop dishwasher, I will have to load two cycles everyday.
But I also have my 12 year old Bosch dishwasher, so I use both of them - sometimes only Bosch, sometimes both and at times only the Beko.
You definitely cannot fit both lunch and dinner vessels in a single load in an 8 place dishwasher. Having said this, I would like to add that much depends on how many dishes/items you cook, whether you reuse vessels already used for cooking(by rinsing and using again), the number of persons etc.

I have ifb Neptune sx1 bought it a few days back.
The detergent in the detergent dispenser is not emptying fully. Is there anything that I am doing wrong since I make sure the detergent compartment is dry.
Hi Lokesh, please check whether this happens in all the program cycles you run or only during specific programs.
Also check the detergent quantity you use, it has to be based on the number/degree of soiled dishes in the load.
Select correct program based on the degree of soiling of dishes. If the program is short, where the rinsing time is less then also this can happen.
Check whether any dishes are blocking the detergent compartment.
Lastly check if the detergent is dry and not in lumps.

Yes Oliver, I bought the table top Voltas Beko dishwasher in October 2020. I faced the first repair in my Bosch dishwasher after 8½ years of usage then. And since it was Covid time, there was a delay in repair. So after the issue in Bosch got sorted, I purchased this table top model.

Detergent powder not dissolving and even tablet also not working properly kindly do in favour from my request..
Hi chapy17c, This problem does occur in this dishwasher till we learn to work around it. If you observe, the detergent compartment door is not sliding type but flap type. And it does not open fully since the top rack comes in the way. So if the compartment inside is not dry when detergent or tablet is kept, it may not come out. So make sure the compartment is dry before putting detergent or tablet. And place the tablet in the deeper part of the compartment so that it falls out from a partially opened door.
If this does not solve your problem, you can place the tablet at the bottom of the dishwasher. hope this helps. Thanks.

One question. How have you installed the drainage for the dishwasher? Do you have a seperate drain hole like you have for washing machine?
In my kitchen there is some space to place a similar dishwasher near the sink. But I dont have the option for a seperate drain hole. Will it be ok if the drain pipe is emptied directly to the sink?

@@daisysamuel2497 I bought a Voltas beko soon after I got this reply. I was using my sink as the drainage. It worked fine.. But then later on the sink pipe began to leak because it got spoilt due to the hot water from the dishwasher. (that was after 16 months of daily use, not overnight).. So now we changed the drain pipe to PVC heat resistant pipe (not that expensive). This dishwasher is worth buying. The sink problem was solved in a day.

Bosch is with me for more than 9 years and is giving excellent performance. Although my Voltas is a table top model, it also gives very good cleaning in most program cycles. I'll vote for Bosch because of its German engineering.

Hi, From what I've read from other viewers, I think Voltas Beko14 place setting is a good model only. Beko is a reputed European brand and in India Voltas which is a Tata company is in collaboration with them.
Nowadays there are many brands of dishwashers available in the market. You've to choose based on your requirement and budget.
Filling and setting of salt and rinse aid will be the same as in the table top model. I've uploaded videos of this in my Voltas Beko table top series in my channel.
I would love to do videos on different brands and models of dishwashers if individuals or companies give the same to me. Anyway thanks for your suggestion.

Hi sushma, This arrangement is as per recommended installation procedure. This is done if the drain pipe is fixed to a sink drain outlet pipe. Providing a high rise ensures that the drain water does not flow back into the machine.
This does not mean that all water will not get drained. Draining is not by gravity but by a drain pump. So the entire drain water gets pumped out of the dishwasher. Thanks. I have explained this in my checklist video. You can watch the same. Thanks.

Hi, the water is always connected and kept open, like it's done for a washing machine.
As and when required in the wash or rinse cycle of the selected program, the required amount of water is drawn.
Please don't buy. Parts are not available. Once out of order, you have to saddle with it, it gather dust

Hi Amit, sorry for the delayed reply. You should check your water hardness before buying a dishwasher. Generally a dishwasher can work upto hardness of 800 - 900 ppm. But the lower the hardness the better will be the cleaning and the lesser the consumption of consumbales. You could check these videos in my channel -

Hi mam can I connect my voltas beko tabletop dishwasher to a stabilizer and stabilizer to a normal output switch. If so which stabilizer is the best.
I used a normal vguard stabilizer to my dishwasher and stabilizer to a normal switch board.
I loaded eco mode. It washed well but I forgot to switch off the appliance after completion. The stabilizer went off with a drip in the main board.

Hi Ashwini, Is the water pressure sufficient? You need a minimum of 0.5 bar water pressure, which is equal to 5 metres, meaning the water tank has to be at least 16 feet above the machine. If the pressure is not the issue and it still shows water check error, please call for service. Thanks.

Hi Nandu, I have no personal experience of using IFB dishwasher. But Neptune VX is one of the largest selling models in IFB and lots of people are happy with it. IFB has been making dishwashers for many years in India. Earlier they had collaboration with Bosch and it was sold as IFB Bosch. Thanks.

I am using since September 20, using IFB autodish detergent , salt and rinse aid. After using it twice daily now cleaning quality is reduced, a bit change in detergent quality too. I think it needs service but there is no such reference available for getting a complete service ...
Hi Bobby, there is nothing called as a complete service for all these appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, mixer grinders etc. The only things required is regular cleaning and maintenance of specific parts.
In the dishwasher all you need to do is :
1. Clean the drain filters regularly
2. Refill salt and rinse aid as and when the indicator light comes ON
3. Keep checking the spray arms once a while for any blockages
4. In case your water is very hard, try to descale by running an empty long program using a branded descaler or with just a cup of vinegar kept in the upper rack.
This is only needed if your water is very hard and you find frequent limescale formations in the parts and the interiors.
5. Cleaning interiors and exteriors with a soft damp cloth.
Other than the above mentioned there is no service needed at all.
I'm writing this from my experience of using my Bosch dishwasher since 9 years.
In case you're not happy with any detergent keep trying out other brands(now that there are many available), and finally stick to one that gives you perfect results as per your expectation.

No it does not clean fully in the Mini 35 minutes cycle. It can be just used as a rinsing cycle.

Do the programs run fully avd does the water get heated? If not I think that error 03 could mean that there is a fault with your heating element. Please call the company for service and replacement of the faulty part.

If I use pressure pump auto mode, the E1 error occured, and if the pump hits in menu mode. Please suggest solution.
Hi Chandrika, I feel we cannot use a pressure pump for the dishwasher. It is suitable for showers, geysers, etc., not for dishwasher, as dishwasher draws very little water. Pump pressure is more.

Hi, looks like you are a new viewer of my channel. I have posted more than 60 videos on dishwashers alone on my channel in the past 9+ years. I was probably the first person in India to post a full fledged deno/review of a dishwasher from a user point of view.
Mine is a struggling channel. Till date I haven't got any collaboration from any company whatsoever as they go by subscriber numbers and in all these years I have just managed to get 42K subscribers. @Arjun Puri, Sorry for the delay in replying. The cleaning is dependent on many factors like the use of the right detergent (this comes after some trial and error), correct hardness setting based on water hardness and proper placement of dishes. I would suggest you get your water tested for hardness at any nearby laboratory (you can google for a food/water testing lab in your city) A hardness test costs a few hundred rupees but you will have an precise figure and then you could set the salt setting based on that. Next you can try to find which detergent suits your water hardness. As a general observation I can share Finish works better for soft water and Fortune works better for hard water. These days many detergents are phosphate free and these work differently with different water hardnesses. If the water is on the harder side, try to use programs like Eco which use optimum temperature and water to give very good cleaning. Don't worry about the duration of the program, Eco is the most energy efficient program. If there is a film on glass ware, you may need to increase rinse aid setting by 1 level. After adjusting salt and rinse aid setting, wait for at least 10 cycles to understand the change. Similarly while changing to new detergent. It is a good practice to keep a book and note down the results. Tuning the dishwasher settings to suit your water holds the key to getting good cleaning. As you learn this and master it, you will find great improvements in your cleaning. Good luck.
@@BhuvanaAdi - Thank you for the guidance Ma'am , I was initially using IFB Salt , Detergent and Rinse Aid . I will try to check for Finish and wait for 10 cycles. the water hardness setting is H2 , i changed it to H3 assuming it would be better. I am normally using it in mini mode if some dishes are cleaned. I will try to switch to Eco Mode and see if it helps. Yes certainly will keep a book and note the results. I dont think mini mode uses any rinse aid.

Hi Jyotsna, For the purpose of trying, I have tried and these can be washed in dishwasher. But I would definitely recommend washing them only in low temperature cycles and also not to mix different metals together in single wash. Thanks.

Finally bought this one over Bosch as needed smaller one for our small kitchen.. no way i could accommodate Bosch 13 place... hoping it works good without giving me troubles as many of other videos ate sharing.

Sorry for the delayed reply Pooja. I'm still using the Voltas Beko tabletop dishwasher. It is working fine without any issues. Of course you may have to run 2-3 cycles if you have more dish load, because of its size(8 place setting as compared to the stand alone models which are either 12/13 or 14 place setting).
You can get the best out of the machine only after regular usage by choosing the right programs based on the load and your water quality.
By trial and error you can arrive at the best combination of program, detergent, and the salt and rinse e aid settings which yields the desired cleaning results.
I'm sure by now you would have got an idea if how good it is for your vessels. Please share your experience here. Good luck and happy dishwashing!!

thought i had to return it as it had signs of usage inside (food particles inside the tub, sides of door n drain).. and then seeing it in front i figured i had to use it at least twice a day to get days utensils clean. So now dropped the idea of buying a smaller one and looking bigger ones (12 or 13 place). and created some space in kitchen too so that bigger one can fit too.
For now... Bosch 13 place is my most liked machine.. still reviewing few more before buying one. Hows ur bosch doing after almost 12 years (or its more than 12 now)

Hi Raja, bartan bahut zyada oily hai toh aap intensive program mein aise hi dal sakte hain. Par garam pani mein thoda soap liquid dalkar rinse karke phir dalne se, chiknahat kam hoga aur safai bhi achchi hogi. Machine ke andar bhi greasy nahi hoga.
Bahut oily bartan, low temperature ya short program mein achche se saaf nahi hoga.

But FYI Tupperware can be washed in hot water as well safely.
In case you do not want that, you can use the Mini cycle of 35 minutes which mostly runs for only 20-25 minutes, and can clean your Tupperware as the temperature in that cycle is lower than the other programs.
How much electricity will it consume if we run 5 cycles per day?
Hi, the power consumption varies from 0.5 units (Mini) to 1.25 units (Intensive) cycle. Other cycles consume between the above two. So the consumption of 5 cycles depends on which cycle you run. Assuming around 1 unit per cycle, the electricity consumption will be around 5 units (more or less). Thanks.
But in this small dishwasher if you want to run 5 cycles everyday, you should think of getting a full size dishwasher. Perhaps 2 cycle everyday should suffice.

The end of every program has drying for a certain time. The duration of drying is based on the program. Yes, I have clearly mentioned that it is suited for a 3 member family. But it also depends on the number of utensils one uses and in case there are more utensils, one has to run a second cycle everyday or every 2 days.

Main negative seems the short top sprayer arm
The short spray arm under the top rack, allows us to place taller plates in the bottom rack.

How many cycles do you run per day? What is the difference in electricity bill?
Hi Deepa, I have my Bosch dishwasher and I normally run one cycle everyday in that. Once in a while (once or twice a week), if some extra dishes get piled up, I run a second cycle mostly on the Voltas Beko, sometimes on Bosch depending on the load size. Since the power consumption of different cycles are different, on an average, we can assume 1 unit per cycle which means about 30 - 35 units per month. I have not seen any steep rise in the electric bill due to dishwasher. Hope this helps. Thanks.

My Bosch dishwasher is 10 years old. I had the first repair after 8½ years during Covid. It took time to get repaired due to the non-availability of parts. Having gotten used to the dishwasher for so many years, I had to manually wash my dishes, which was difficult. Also many of my viewers were asking me demos of other brands of dishwashers. I thought a table top would not only be helpful for me asa stand by, but also be beneficial for my viewers.
That's the reason i have two dishwashers, just like some people have two televisions, two refrigerators etc.
