- The 2024 Suzuki Swift, recently unveiled, marks the fourth generation of this iconic hatchback, bringing a blend of sophisticated design, advanced safety features, and a fun-to-drive experience. Scheduled for a UK release in spring 2024, the Swift continues its legacy as a popular choice for consumers seeking a stylish and enjoyable hatchback.
Design-wise, the new Swift undergoes a significant transformation while maintaining its signature look. The exterior features a piano-black grille, L-shaped signature lamps, rounded shoulder lines, flared fenders, and a floating roof design, enhancing its adventurous and energetic appearance. The rear of the car boasts three-dimensional combination lamps and a wide bumper, contributing to a playful yet stable look.
The interior of the Swift has also been upgraded for comfort and ergonomic efficiency. The cockpit is driver-focused, with a center cluster and controls angled towards the driver. The dashboard and front door trim feature a dual-tone black and light-grey scheme with satin plating and dark silver paint accents, creating a dynamic and sporty ambiance.
A highlight of the new Swift is its 9-inch HD capacitive touchscreen, compatible with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. The system also offers voice recognition, Bluetooth® music playback, and displays vehicle status information.
Under the hood, the Swift is powered by a new 1.2-liter petrol 3-cylinder engine, paired with a 12V mild hybrid system. Combined it produces 82 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. This setup enhances fuel economy, reduces emissions, and improves low-speed torque for better responsiveness and performance. The ALLGRIP AUTO feature, an automatic four-wheel drive system, provides additional stability by engaging when a loss of front traction is detected.
However, it's important to note that there are no current plans to release the Suzuki Swift in the American market.

I own a last gen Swift Sport.
I much prefer the previous design over this new Swift.
Really? I'm not a fan of the brake lights from the previous gen, this design looks smarter to me but to each to their own.
ZC32S is still the Queen for me, but I'll admit, this looks a lot better in the video than it does in the still images, and I'm glad they moved the handles on the rear doors back to where the belong, was not a fan of the rear handles on the 33's, all boils down to preference though. Be interested to see a sport version if/when it is announced.

It it is 3 cylinder then it is bad. The current 4 cylinder is the best engine.
I've just started seeing the Eighth (third) gen Swift around town, and I love it's look. A sportier, sexier design than the familar previous generations.
But this 2024 version? I immediately dont like the flat bonnet line across the front.
They didn't need to update it when they'd only just got it looking so good.

I had the "old" (current) model, 1.0 boosterjet, it was nippy and fun to drive, this one looks kind of ugly. Looks like a downgrade to me, visually.
Now it looks like an electric Chinese motor boat

What a pity...I had the previous and it was nicer. Then dear Suzuki, stop to offer thay CVT crap: it is frustrating to drive.
Buy the indian model, it is AGS (automatic gear shift).
Interior looks good. But, bonnet design looks ugly, front grill (nissan copy) also looks ugly, previous model was better in terms of exterior looks.
I don't like the exterior at all. It looks bland. The current model looks much better.

Well done Suzuki! You have transformed what was an ugly car and made it uglier. Looks as swift as a bar of soap. Hideous. Lost the place after the second generation.
3rd gen is not bad looking though, i own 2019 sport version and its gorgeus imo. 2nd gen gave rally car vibes which i liked a lot but interior was shit. 1st gen is simple and good looking.
Companies are geting beter with design as the year go by. But Suzuki is geting worse and worse.
Yeah, their design aesthetic continues to be all over the place! The out going model although not great but is nice in a quirky way, has much nicer styling to it

Improved interior. The exterior of the car has become much worse. It looks like a bathtub on wheels. The previous version was much better. Not to mention the three-cylinder engine. Goodbye Suzuki.
