Can I tell you how much I love you and what you do to encourage the younger moms in their homeschooling/homemaking journey?!! You are such a godly example and I would love to meet you someday. If not here, then in heaven! One of the things I appreciate most about you is your love for the Lord and your obedience in not fretting or being anxious, but trusting. It comes through in your videos, and I find that to be such a beautiful thing, and I want to imitate that. Thank you for the great tips and suggestions! I had initially thought of having to do handicrafts every week as a school subject, but having flexibility just makes it more enjoyable, even as I think about the upcoming school year. Thanks again, Sherry. God bless you immensely. You're amazing!

We're starting a handicraft day one day a week this year. Thank you for these practical ideas. ❤

My little 6 yr old boy watches me everyday make fresh tortillas with a tortilla press, he is now in charge o making them, I put them on the griddle and turn them. But he works so diligently making tons of tortillas for our meals. He even makes tiny ones for his sister. He proudly takes his little basket of tortillas to the table. He asks if supper will be ready soon so he can start making them. I have. 3 year old daughter she loves makeup, but all the little girls makeup is so bright and glittery. I love the idea of making natural makeup (from wax maybe flowers for color) to make tinted lip balm and maybe cheek blush. She also loves bath bombs!!!! They get pretty expensive so I think buying her a set of molds and she can make her own. I make little girls bows and I sell some and give some away to family members for their girls she likes to help me pack them in their bags and decorate with paper shredding, shiny beads a little pre made note and sprits a natural essential oil of some sort of foral scent on the bows. For my oldest 9 yr old son he loves clay modeling. I bought him a 25 lb peice of red clay, he makes pokemon figures , air dries them, paints them, and seals them, he runs out of space to showcase them around the house. 😅 and trust me when I say these activities alone are a BIG incentive for them to hurry with their morning studies. They have a sense of responsibility, : “today I air dry all my figures, tomorrow I paint.” “ we have 10 orders of bows, and we ran out of beads for the bags we need to shop for more.” No one pressures them to finish anything, they know what they want to do, they know what they NEEd to get done, and feel so fulfilled when they are done!

About fridge art (keep in mind I only have 4, but my degree is art) I have a magnet per child (mine are pictures of them) and they are allowed ONE piece on the fridge at the time. They choose what they want on the fridge. Some things go in their portfolio when they are cycled off and some go in file 13.

I read that as coop, as in chicken coop. Like you'd use a little mini shed for doing crafts 🤦‍♀️🤣🤣🤣 I'm not quite awake yet haha

That scripture from Thess. has always really spoken to my heart. Thank you for bringing it back to my remembrance. I guess I needed permission to do this kind of cool stuff with my children.
    I'm so thankful for you.

You have been such an encouragement to me! I so enjoyed this video. I am the mom who is afraid of the volcano and fearful of the chaos. I used to love handicfrafts but I have found it to be very stressful with always having a baby and toddler. Your suggestions sound so doable. Thank you for sharing. Also, I love your sense of humour and the verse you shared at the end.
