Yeah, mad respect for this guy, I'm honestly happy for him - he was a fighter and deserved the reward! And we also managed to showcase full combo, so in the end everyone was satisfied with the game :) True magic ❤🦥
sloth made a couple mistakes here and there, could have won. Still a great game. My only issue with sloth is (same as with CGB and others) they play way too slow, a simple boolean decision takes 30 seconds for no reason. Obv I understand this game, no decision is simple, lots of details to consider, but this is too much.
I think I'm done with this game ........never in all of this expansion have i seen a green stompy deck using smugglers surprise. I played hundreds if not a few thousand games and made it to mythic 95% at the high end. The second I try this deck I see nothing but green stompy mirror matches. This proves the rigging for me , i don't care what others think its rigged. I will continue to watch your channel as i love your commentary. Wish you the best !!!
Just an FYI for anyone thinking about crafting... The end where he says win big or lose big... It's mostly just lose big. I lost to every kind of deck and went 0-6. Don't play this if you give any shits about hitting mythic. This is just a fuck around for fun deck, not at all competitive. Edit for an update: Actually even worse, went 0-10 and never got the combo off, even when I had the cards. All instant speed interaction just dunks on it, which is 75% of decks. The other 25% don't need it because you're dead by turn 4. Wish I could get my wild cards back.
I'm sorry to inform you that 90% of arena players never progress higher than plat because we don't have the hours to put in to get that high, down in plat the combo is significantly more consistent but still only a 2-5 type deal
Imagine thinking you're ever gonna be having fun with arena. Games dogshit. And if you think that them adding like 9 sets to standard next year alone is gonna make magic a better game then good luck with that.
@@TheAcad3mic I one million percent agree with you, friendo. I haven't had fun with this game in a couple of years now, but why am I still playing? Addiction is a thing. I just log in to get my 4 wins (gold), then I am out...sad.
@perlundgren7797 I'm not convincing anyone of anything, this game is more of an addiction than a pleasurable pass time. It's referred to as cardboard crack kinda jokingly but also not really. FOMO, sunk cost, social pressures to keep up, straight up gambling triggers... There's a lot of real psychological stuff at play here, and that's before we mention what can *only* be an inevitable decline in quality and balance and an inevitable increase in the cost of turning up at the table. But you do you dawg.
When you played virtue and took a million damage in game one, I felt that. Sad that grindy games are so rare these days with all the insane synergies available
Did you have a moment to kill the Conspiracy Unraveler between the resolution of the first Founding of the Third Path and the second? Seems like if you were in full control you might have?
Magic has has the prototype of energy systems since it's inception, and it's always been garbage, and it will always BE garbage. Especially cause they're actually rewarded for it as some of the most expensive chase cards going on paper and arena are lands.
Unless sultai reanimator guy had another breach, you surveiling that one card mighta killed you. Either way, good opening on your end, and crazy resolve for the other guy. Lotta people in paper or online scoop to losing a lot of permanents to obliterator, let alone all of them
Sloth you're by far my favorite content creator on TH-cam right now the magic. The commentary is leagues ahead of those other 2 douche bags that always pop up. The blue ones a salty Timmy cry baby and the other just yells random words and "get outtttaaa heeeere". I'd like to see competitive best out of 3 plz.
With The overlords and Zendikar, I didn't see you need the Bushwacker, why not go for instant fight spells for the "If I target Obliterator it will fight" mind games? Obliterator is in a good place now, with Smuggler's surprise and Live or Die for instant speed resurrection, and Coiling Rebirth means you can chump/fight with the 1/1 keeping the big guy.
As much as i dislike playing against Smuggler's Surprise decks (well at least until Authority of the Consuls :-D) I did enjoy seeing Obliterator destroy Atraxa and mono-red
Day 5 of commenting every day until the algorithm wakes up and Sloth has 100k subscribers.
Criminally underrated channel
7/7 reply with flying and shadow
For the algorithm!
That intro made me realize that Obliterator isn't just non-land permanents... Holy crap.
Yep, single hit, and you literally reset their whole game to turn 0 :D
Yeah and they use fight spells to Force the combat damage. It IS indeed, degenerate lol. Sign me up.
Thank you, Sloth. I don't have the collection to field the variety of decks you do, so I live vicariously through yours.
Kudos for Unraveler guy, he sacrificed all his lands and Atraxa, didnt scoop and still won the match.

I love the part that you got rid of almost all lands but still drew a land lol 10:02

That obliterator play with Atraxa was epic, im convinced to build this deck on arena now :D

@@TheAcad3mic Imagine trying to convince people that they can't have fun. Bitter much?

But you do you dawg.
I don't care who the IRS sends, I will not stop playing land destruction in Standard.
you surveiled a land and then had "...exactly 15 cards..." in your library, ouch!
Great to be back after 21 days in the wilderness
Welcome back man, this was a true journey I bet!:)❤🦥
The biggest sacrifice Goosey and I ever saw was when we fought Jodah, The Unifier after the cascade effect. Sure is fun when it happens HONK!
Conspiracy Unraveler mill combo was something I haven't considered in Emergence 🧐 Great games, as usual 👌
"Please shuffler I just need a land then I'll be a nice person for 5 minutes"
Proceeds to commit war crimes 😂
Another episode about "OnlyLands"
When you played virtue and took a million damage in game one, I felt that. Sad that grindy games are so rare these days with all the insane synergies available
That last game was epic 😃
It's Golgari Day at The Slotherhouse! Good morning, bro!
🖤💚🦥🪿🎉
Morning!:D
Did you have a moment to kill the Conspiracy Unraveler between the resolution of the first Founding of the Third Path and the second? Seems like if you were in full control you might have?
Yeah, I think he hit Resolve All on accident, so it never prompted before the second one resolved.
yep, breach the multiverse is sorcery and he had a go for the throat in hand. That was 100% a win.
That last game was so good
Happy to hear that, thanks!:)
The first game is the best example of why mtg should have two decks one for lands and one for creatures
Magic has has the prototype of energy systems since it's inception, and it's always been garbage, and it will always BE garbage.

Golgari with Obliterator sounds like a fun video ❤🎉

#1 Baby! Let's Go Sloth!!
THE ABSOLUTE LEGENDARY CONTENDER LEGEND!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Let's gooo!
Since you have 4 swamps for obliterator, why not a cheeky meathook 2 or 2? With the obliterator fight trigger? Yes please
nasty obliterator
combo

It would be great to see you play through a series of games rather than just highlights so we can see how your decks actually perform.
That would just be like watching a stream. No thanks. Highlights from a creative deck is much more entertaining than watching a meta deck.
Pretty neat that a mono red one drop can compete with 40 mana worth of creatures.
Did you get mana screwed in previous games 😂. The king of lands
I like this deck. It looks fun for you but painful for your opponent. 😂
So many mistakes my eyes hurt, but the deck is cool
Sorry man, I hope you still managed to enjoy the video:D
Yes no click bait here.
29 lands waay too many
Amazing games😂
Thanks Bro, they really were :D One of most epic comebacks for our Atraxa fighter too!😂❤🦥
#184 of things that don't make sense in MTG.
How can an animal thats grounded attack a creature with flying?
wow red players are so good at magic the gathering
Dont have the lands :(
Gross, but in a good way.
As much as i dislike playing against Smuggler's Surprise decks (well at least until Authority of the Consuls :-D) I did enjoy seeing Obliterator destroy Atraxa and mono-red
DISGUSTING😅
Nice! 🦥 :)
