I have often wondered from the time that I served my mission more than 35 years ago until this very day why more people, including good friends and members of my family, don't turn to the prophets for guidance. They will talk to me and say something like, "I just don't know what to do." Invariably it seems that people would prefer to seek out secular wisdom. I have asked many, "If I told you that today, right now, there is a living prophet in the same sense as a Moses who led the Israelites out of bondage, would you want to know who that is and would you want to learn what he as to say?" I have yet to get a yes. Usually I get a dubious shrug, a kind of, "well I don't know." Personally, I receive great comfort in hearing and learning from the prophets, seers and revelators that I am able to listen to biannually at general conference.
It would help if you added the conference date in the description. I like to quote things I've heard in the videos, but it becomes a difficult search for a transcript if I don't know which conference it was :)
