As for why Asterius (the Minotaur’s name) couldn’t see that Percy wasn’t around, bovine have extremely poor eyesight. Especially at night. As a bull, Asterius would have to rely more on his nose than eyes. It’s a problem that a lot of herbivores like deer and cows have, and it makes them highly skittish, aggressive, and territorial around anything that they’re not familiar with.
Great video and if you see this the creator of books has said the show will be just like the books but with a few changes he wanted. like to have some characters to have more depth compared to the book.
I just saw this and absolutely lost my shit!! I just finished watching episode 5 (It came out today), and I decided to come to TH-cam to watch you guys' Horimiya reaction videos(Love those, btw, only read the manga, never seen the anime), only for me to see this update! You guys are my favourite reactors ever, and I'm so happy you decided to react to the PJO series!!! I can't wait to see the reactions to the other episodes, omg!!! Fangirling over, lemme watch the video now, lol. Love you guys so much!!!
Not spoiler. In the book Percy actually rip it off bcs he has no sword. he hand back the 'pen' to his teacher after he kill Ms. Dods. Mr Brunner was like "oh you found my pen, i take back thank you" and took the pen from Percy, and he was like "am i really halusinating?". I like how they change it and the sword help him bcs itbwould make sanse to non book reader bcs the reaction would be alot stronger "how could he rip it off?". But he's demigod not human so yeah, he's stronger than regular humans. The thing with bullies too, he never actually fight back phisically bcs he don't want get his mom into trouble, bcs if het trouble he'll be expelled and that hurt his mom. So he stay to be in the school as long as he can (he's been expelled like every year, yeah Yancy is like his 6th school or something)
I love how they’re progressing the story through the show, I only have one issue. Percy’s dad was really abusive in the books, and I feel like they dumbed him down.
It'll all depend on his later scenes. If Percy realizes the same thing he does towards the end of the book, then he's just as abusive tbh. He might just be better at hiding it, which is actually pretty realistic.
It’s something that Percy doesn’t realize until the end of Book 1 because while he was verbally antagonistic to Percy, he was more abusive towards Sally who did her best to hide it from Percy. We can already see subtle signs/red flags that he’s controlling because he answered her phone without her permission and how she has to basically bribe him to go to Montauk. Even in the books we know that Gabe is an asshole but just like Percy we don’t know the extent until towards the end of the book when he sees Gabe raise his hand and Sally flinches. Sally stood her ground against Gabe in the books too, so i think it’s going to follow a similar trajectory.
Really? I loved Percy Jackson when I read it but I'm so grown now I didn't think I'd want to see these kids running around. If yall are saying its fantastic though I might check it out. Percy is one of my GOAT protagonists.
As a grown-up I don't identify with the kids, I watch like a worried parent : "Poor Percy" "Poor Anabeth" I am happy for the children arround me who will watch this show and love the characters, the monsters etc...
Some non spoiler changes(changes that have no opportunity to be rechanged/changed back) Gabe in the books was basically 100% worst. In here he mainly seems like a wimpy loser. Both abusive but different levels because book Gabe didn't hide how he was the worst. Percy in the book fight with the minotaur was crazier. In the book he broke off his horn with his bare hands and stabbed him with it. No sword was used
@@bryangarcia5207 SPOILER DONT READ IM TYPING A BUNCH IN CASE IT POPS UP AS A NOTIFICATION OM NOM NOM BLAH BLAH BLAH................
