  • So... I decided I would go on a vacation, but instead of flying somewhere tropical, I stayed right in my own city - Düsseldorf, Germany! 🇩🇪
    In this adventurous video, I'll be you with me through the streets of Düsseldorf and exploring the vibrant areas of my home sweet home. From iconic landmarks to yummy pizza, come along as I showcase Düsseldorf through the eyes of a local, me.

    Well, despite you staying in a hotel for one night, this is less of a tourist-eye view of your city, but rather an everyday-activity kind of view - which I enjoy much more. You give a glimpse into a few of the regular urban residential districts and not so much the sights of Düsseldorf. Except, of course, the Düsseldorf Arkaden you could have skipped, as they are a mall as you'll find one in every other German city.

      Haha this video was a totally unplanned one - I had my camera with me as I was working on an Instagram reel that weekend, and then figured “why not?!” 🥰

    Some fact about the Rheinturm. On its shaft it has a light sculpture called "Lichtzeitpegel" that functions as the largest digital clock in the world.

    Hallo.

    I was yesterday in Dusseldorf and I was kinda shocked how many homeless people I saw not just on the street but also sleeping in brought day light. BUT still I would go again for a longer time as I only had a few hours to spend before I took the ICE back to the Netherlands.

    A great video - giving us some highlights from your staycation in your hometown.😎💛
    And seeing, if shortly, your best friend again: after last years christmas market wasn't it under discussion that you make a video of the two of you reflecting a bit about your friendship and how it came to be? 💛💛

    What is the difference between the S and the U train?

    • @lifeingermany_

      U-Bahn is the underground and the S-Bahn 🚈 is the Straßenbahn (above ground)
