Steve has just as much charisma on stage today as when this filmed.

A hidden treasure - Steve and friends spoke truth to power before it was in vogue. 👍

I first saw Steve when he supported Sheila Walsh somewhere. His energy was mind-blowing and I subsequently bought his first five albums, including this one but this is the first time I have SEEN him since.

I saw this show in Manchester - I think a year later '86? It was awesome and is fixed in my memory as a great event!!

This has brought back memories of a fantastic night. Steve was the highlight of the whole weekend.
Watching the pre-concert interviews made me glad that my one ended up on the cutting room floor 🙂

I was a fan back in the eighties. I have his albums, I saw him in concert many times, and I own this video on VHS. But, over the years, I look back and think there are some things I just don't agree with anymore. Not throwing out the baby with the bath water. But there are some things that could have been said differently, or not said at all.

saw this tour at the ohio theatre in columbus oh in may 1985--i was about to turn 16 and was finishing my sophomore year in high school. great concert--met terl bryant (drummer), glenn holman (bass player) and of course, steve himself. great witness of faith from these three--steve was so funny. Years later, a friend of mine would meet Terl when he was part of the band-Iona,

Note the '83 Fender Strat at 2:20. Two knobs and pick guard mounted input jack. I used to have one just like it. Love ST forever.

Just saw Steve Taylor & The Perfect Foil in October 2014 in Hollywood, and they'll be back in town later this month. And I was a regular attender of his Chicago concerts back in the 1980's. Needless to say, Steve has not slowed down one iota!

I wonder if Christian Music ever..ever...ever would have entered into the future without Steve Taylor!!!??? Way...way ahead of his time...fact.

Thank you so much for posting this. I haven't heard this album in like 20 years. I was OBSESSED with it when I was a kid. So much so, that I was able to almost recite every word and lyric while watching it. This was a total blast to hear again. This will be my first of many more viewings. It is just as good as the first time I heard it. My favorite album from Steve Taylor. I say him at Knott's Berry Farm many years ago. He has so much energy and charisma. LOVE LOVE LOVE this!

Hey, thanks a lot for posting this man! I saw him at one of his state-side stops on this tour, so watching the video is a blast from the past :)

I saw him perform in my home town at Wenham, Massachusetts at the New Sound festival on the quadrangle of Gordon College. What a performance. New wave music at tge cutting edge if CCM and performance art of the type you would see on Montreal, L.A.or Paris in the woods of Massachusetts in Hostoric North Shore. Priceless.

I saw it in few cities in Texas. I think this was On the Fritz tour? Gosh were those the great days. I miss Steve; even though, I've deconverted. I still love his music.

I saw him in Okc at Metro Church and at another venue I can’t remember. Also 3 times at Tulsa. Once was with Shelia Walsh. Every show was great!! I worked for the promoters at 2 of the Tulsa shows and at Metro Church. I got to spend some time speaking with him and he was really down to earth and a nice guy. Then in the 90s he played at a venue I worked at, the WhereHouse in Bartlesville. He at that time had dropped the keyboards and went with 3 guitarists and rocked everything up a few notches. He blew the roof off the place!!
A few years back I saw him with his new band, the perfect foil at the Cain’s in Tulsa. He was still one of the most energetic people on stage I have ever seen!! He was fantastic and blew the roof off the Cain’s!! I got to visit back stage with him and I was shocked,he remembered me!!
In my opinion he is one of the greatest frontmen I have ever seen perform!!

Several thoughts: OMG this was my childhood. That HAIR though. Shoulder pads=NO. If Steve Taylor weren't still alive, I'd think Eddie Redmayne was his reincarnation. And finally, no freakin wonder Steve is so skinny. :D

Yes, I grew up same way. Even though I've deconverted, I still have a tenderness in my heart for Steve and for the message that he taught my so-young-self at the time.

The crowd is ridiculous. They keep trying to clap the exact beat that the drummer is playing, even on Meltdown.
