Dean is kind of a jerk here , especially considering the amount of courage and strength it took for Jan to be able to be up there and sing. He always gave his best, even with the criticism from Dean and others. He truly loved the music and the fans. My buddy worked for Jan for years at home and on the road as his assistant and I can tell you for a fact that Dean was not always kind and patient with Jan and I can also tell you that Jan was a truly genuinely nice guy.

Wow, and all the songs are earlier than Back to the Street! Nice. I've wondered how John would sound doing that material.

R.I.P. Jan Berry. I grew up and learned to sing harmonies with Jan & Dean's and The Beach Boys music.I was fortunate to meet Dean backstage while Jan sang and chatted with the folks out front. My friend's boss at NIPSCo managed the Augustfest that night back in about 1996 ,in East Gary / Porter County.area . We went back stage and rapped with Dean and he was decent but had to get back onstage. Later,I had my camera with me with high speed film and Dean invited me onstage but I didn't want to take advantage of it. (Today I wish I had.Heh.) Both were decent and humorous.

Great tribute to one of the all-time greatest hit songs, by the greatest duo ever! I'd love to hear an extended version at some point, that also includes the "Command Performance- 1966" version, the 1970's remake from K-tel records, or even the version by Dean and the Surf City Allstar band!

I was at this concert My best friend took me there for my 21 birthday Our seats were in the the orchestra pit first row right by a big speaker It was an awesome concert

Loved hearing this…. Was really turned off when John became lead singer in 86 because the first I heard him was on their first album together. Maybe if I would have heard this first I would not have tuned them out for so many years? I’ve REALLY come to love his voice now though. Going to hear them for their 50th anniversary tour, again. Bema Seat wasn’t quite the same though. The songs before that were right on tap though.

I had heard that they did some shows with John before the new album, cool to see it up here.

I saw this show in Manchester - I think a year later '86? It was awesome and is fixed in my memory as a great event!!

Man oh man, I just got an early Christmas present. I've never seen this concert with John singing all Greg X Volz songs. I'd heard about this specific concert. I'd seen him sing "It is finished" before here in Australia for the "This means war" concert, but not all these oldies for a whole concert. Thanks so much for the upload. John has done so well with pretty much all songs covered in this concert. Both he and Greg had such a fantastic range. Thanks to john for keeping close to the original songs and not trying to change them.

I saw there Back to the Streets tour with John. Seen Petra three times....they were impressive with both John and Greg! Over all my favorite band!

Really awesome to hear John singing these songs! Personally, my favorite Petra is all with John, but I ADORE the music Greg put out when he went solo, so it's all a massive win in my eyes!
