I see flash every time you turn it and gasp! So pretty. My birthday is in October and am wearing a ring my husband had made for me. I drew the design and he found a lady with talent. That was thirty years ago. Not anywhere are lovely as the one you just finished.

The first time I was opal snagged I was 12years old. I saw an imitation opal, you know, the glitter with epoxy over it .I loved it anyway and Mom bought it. Pop 30 years ahead and I got a real opal, well, an opal from Sears and Roebuck jewelry counter. It did the trick. It was white with red flash, just a bit, and it was pretty big, about the size of a dime. And I was happy. More years later, after watching this channel I’m starting to twitch....those colors are like thunder and lightning in a rock, captured, love them! Love this channel.

I'm a collector of usually raw specimen minerals and crystals. I have such a soft spot for opal (technically a mineraloid), especially light opal which I good for me 😉 because it's a cheaper love to have. This is such a nice chunk it hurt to think of somebody cutting up into small pieces or cabochons so I really appreciate the big freeform shape you ended with.

That's what I love about this channel, it's pure passion, and hobbie, not a career or work.....at least not work, such as working to support yourself and family.
Also George Carlin reference in this video, is awesome. He was more of societal commentator then an actual comedian, it just so happens that society is funny as hell all on its own.

I love the hard breaks in the layers. I'm no expert, and I figure this would makes it a lesser specimen by grade due it being "imperfect", I don't know - but I think it would be sooo cool to have a polished opal that showcases the differences in the lines, and is cut to show both well defined lines of white / cream opal opal, and then striking strips of iridescent Opal running through it! I would seriously be interested in buying such a piece.
