We had a hail storm right after we bought our travel trailer, $13,000 damage, but was repaired & you didn't even know it had been damaged. Then again was in a storm in Chesapeake Bay, $12,000 damage. Storm ripped off the awning, antenna, & had to get a new roof. But we haven't given up camping! We camp & cruise so we love you sharing your adventures with us.
As a Finn, i love to see what US Campsites look like :D So diffrent than here, and there look bigger and bigger van/car/campers :D And we don't here have thos "expandend" cars/campers. We see thos only like Caravan show :D Im dreaming someday to pack my van to ship, and road tripping around US&Canada :D

I've heard one of the things if you want to save your paint - your solar panels, to put some comforters on the top, possibly on the windshield extending down over the hood.. many times windshields these days have all kinds of expensive components, that are special order-- especially if you have golf ball sized hail..

The leak around the fan is the most common leak on a new Travato. When you were up there I saw the big hole on the passenger side. Did you take the shroud down to get it all dried out?
OH my goodness you have been all around me. A little over 100 miles south of me when you were in Pigeon Forge Now you are about 80 miles north of me. We live just of Interstate 75 in London Ky and we go to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg at least a couple of times a year, and Lexington or Louisville several times, but I've never been to Cummins Ferry. We'll need to check it out. If you were around close, our World Chicken Festival in London, starts Sept 21.
Grew up doing catch and release. Rarely did my dad keep them, mostly before he had his back issues so I was maybe 7/8. I did learn how to clean/filet but um that was 50 years ago so . . . lol.

We went to Cumberland Falls St Park because we found out you can see a "moonbow" on a full moon. We were disappointed because the moon disappeared as we watched. We found out the next day it was actually a lunar eclipse LOL. Also went to the original KFC in Corbin. Hope we can go back some day

That maxair fan leak is precisely why I'm building my own campervan. I will never buy a manufactured RV of any type. I'm about 70% done with my camper build in my Promaster. I can't wait to retire and get on the road full time!

Are you freaking kidding me ?? 😂 Y’all I live in Kentucky! Welcome to Ky weather where it can go drop 30 degrees in a day , where it is pretty & sunny and hot to a hailstorm or tornado. We’ve had to have the roof on our house replaced because of a hailstorm before. Our worse tornado break out have been in winter with the deadliest in December 2021. We live in Western Ky in the county of Muhlenberg. We are closer to Land between the Lakes, if your ever in Western Ky let me know ! PS … we met on Mardi Gras Sept 2021.

I live in TN and for the last few years it seems we have been lucky besides the tornado of 2020 but Kentucky has been hit hard the last few years. We are in the same news district and it seems like a storm is always being covered for them it is sad.

We didn’t keep any, just released them after catching so we did not have a license.
