    That is honestly magic. It's photoshop for audio. Now I won't have to use two mics while recording. Espeically with rappers who don't know mic control and yell while tracking a whisper track. I always just kept another mic 2 feet back with lower gain just in case

      No clip gain feature in your DAW? No volume automation? Lol

    Great simple feature. Would it hurt to turn off the reverb so we can hear the clipped audio clearly? :)

    Thank you, Evan Allen.
    You're well on your way to becoming a TH-cam superstar.
    I noted no mention of the use or purpose of the "Post limiter", the "Makeup gain", the "IN" and "OUT", or "Presets" controls.
    I'm interested in giving you my money and probably more in the future but... a 'De-clip' for idiots would be appreciated.
    I would eagerly be first in line to watch it.
    Thank you.

    Any cheap alternative? I saw the price 439 €. It seems to me that a good editor like audacity or similar should do this

    is it a live fix effect, or do you have to fix it, pre-render it out as a new wav, then replace the original wav?

    Had no clue you guys had Martin Gore record for your declip advertisment. Sounds like he made the beat to.

    in protools 11 HD i am having an issue. only de-clip has extreme latency. 31931 samples of delay. delay compensation doesnt even go that high. how do i fix this?

    • @ct6mblack
      @ct6mblack 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      What I might do is find a really good setting for De-Clip, and then copy those settings into the AudioSuite version of the plugin and process the clipped file itself. Generally, that's how I'd approach anything that's taxing on the system or has a crazy latency. Obviously, you can't do this all the time, given the location of the plugin in the chain, but since De-Clip is going to be the first thing on a channel, it would work very well to first process the file offline, and then go about your mix.

    It's an odd choice to use audio that you're admittedly adding distortion to later in the chain to showcase a plug in that fixes distortion.
    I'm not entirely sure that I'm hearing much of a difference, as both the before and after are completely overpowered by the distortion added by the reverb.

    I'd like to hear a REALLY Distorted clip, something badly damaged. This clip in particular was hardly clipping at all, and didn't need much, seriously.

    • @D40Oz1
      @D40Oz1 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Joe Hannigan I don't think its going to do much for a really distorted clip, I'm pretty sure if the audio was that bad you'd need to rerecord properly, but that'd be cool if there was such a plugin to do that tho

    • @clinterz
      @clinterz 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Joe Hannigan Agree, the clip is too subtle to really tell if the plug does anything valuable.

    • @D40Oz1
      @D40Oz1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just tried it...useless lol does not do a great job at all for anything that has alot of distortion .... this only works for very very verrry minor clipping which is useless lol cause you can barely hear minor clipping in a mix anyways

    • @D40Oz1
      @D40Oz1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Keith Lykens I actually was hoping it would give a unique sound that would be usable but nope, I wouldn't waste money on this

    • @BigFatCock0
      @BigFatCock0 8 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      +Joe Hannigan If you're distorting it *that* bad than you're just doing a bad job.

  • @jopar3292
    @jopar3292 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    ...and then the engineer goes on to brick wall limits the entire mix anyway (for commercial 'success' ) so... great tool though in and off itself
