  • I have a Fish Pond In House! Well... technically I have multiple fish ponds in my house, but this is the only fish pond in house with a window! Today that pool pond with a window gets some BIG new additions due to some unfortunate events happening in the fish room. Ponds leaking, heaters breaking... all good things!
Thanks for watching the video! Don't forget to watch until the end because I need your help answering a few questions about what's to come for the channel as well as the fish room! Hope you enjoy this Fish Pond in House!

ZAC ! Brother you inspired me ! and incredibly enough my wife said yes, I bought a 110 gallon tub and now have about 20 mosquito fish , 4 minnows of some type , 2 baby bluegills and a tiny yellow bullhead.
all the fish came from a creek on the back of my property in East Texas.

I say if you are thinking of going bigger, clean the whole space immaculately, enjoy the beautiful fish you have and put your main energy into your family those adorable girls, wife and child on the way,and then really take the time to explore what might be best for your basement, the fish and your TH-cam channel. 😃😃

I think one massive pond where that other one Gave up Would be really cool possibly a wood one That way you don't have to worry about anything getting broken Or leaking Water Would be a lot safer for pacu So when they get bigger it doesn't possibly break a hole in it Cause I've kept them before and I know how they can be lol

I like the idea of the DIY filter and pond (I agree with the comment to try and recycle some of the deck lumber). I also like the comment about a huge tank. There are many TH-camrs that could give you pointers on that (Matt from Matt’s Monster Fish, the folks at OFR, and Joey from King if DIY…to name a few). I love all your native fish setups. You show a different side of the hobby and that’s why I watch.

You do have some huge unusual tanks in the garage that are pretty dang big and hold a lot of water that you could put in the basement and that beast of a filter would push water around in it and keep it clean as well, I believe. Just my two cents as to what to do to replace that leaky pool and still have places for big fish.

I've had mine set up for awhile now, and it has been great overall. I did notice one problem which is the holes that are in each upper corner of the pond. I had a fish hit a one in a million jump and made it through that hole in the corner. I covered the gaps with some thick vinyl tape so it doesn't happen again. I don't think it very likely that it would happen often, but I just thought I would mention it so others are aware.

Wood pond with windows (Plexiglass or Lexan). Save on wood by salvaging it from your deck you are removing if it hasn't all been hauled away yet. I did that once on a project years back with wood salvaged from a huge deck. Some sanding and a little stain and it looked quite good. Looks like you'd have plenty material available in that.

I was thinking of using this for a full grown snapping turtle, but if anyone has experience with this fish pool product, in your opinion, is it physically strong enough to hold one (both the material that holds water and the "scaffolding" that keeps it up)? My main concern would be the big claws it has and its weight, also if it tries to climb and hang on the edge. Any comments would be greatly appreciated
