So many good things I see in this video. He has a calm demeanor. He sat on the blanket near a human. He licked & groomed the other dogs foot as it touched him. He may be as good & healed as he will ever be but he is so much more peaceful in his own skin now & that is a blessing! I❤him.
Someone must realy have time and patience to sit with him, day after day. Is so sad to see animals suffering because of the action of men. Thank you Takis and volunteers for your big heart!

Oh my God, the horror of man that this innocent dog's eyes have seen. You can see it in his expressions. A person could write an entire book based on just the ways this one dog must look at the world after all dear River has seen, both good and evil in us. I can only hope the good will keep winning now that he is away from whoever ruthlessly violated his trust in the past.

And not every volunteer is right for this job too. I believe this is not one of the very young ladies but an ‘older’ volunteer who knows more about patience and timing. Just like the Swiss lady who was there in the beginning. Every new person spending time with River is always a little step back in his process.

We need to understand that Rivers situation was being left suffering between life and death for a while. That he survived is miraculous. But if this had happened to a human they could have had a severe breakdown. People need to think before they are cruel.😢😢

Yeah it maybe is lonely for River and other dogs, I think because internely they feel the need to lovingly touch and to feel lovingly touched.
