He kind of did. That string line he uses marks a straight line where he wants to split, then uses the axe and a hammer to start the crack for the wedges
Erik, you're a credit to your generation and the cure for TH-cam hyper-drama reality vlogging. I just started the full playlist of your cabin build. Happy to see you're exploring new aspects of pioneer skills. And you are also becoming an excellent filmmaker!
Came for the cabin stayed for log splitting! Is there an online shop you recommend for purchasing bushcraft tools? Not a fan of home depot type stuff ty ❤
Very curious: why did the top of the pieces split down the length of them a little ways (they weren't supposed to). What do you do to stop that from happening?.
Thank you, Erik, not only for building this incredible log house, but also for taking the time to shoot and edit the video. I envy your perseverance.
I really apreciate the work you're doing. Wish I could have the chance to do the same.
Great job on splitting that log Erik.
Yes! This is just the video I was looking for. Now I’m confident I can split the logs in my backyard!
great job, Erik
Nice, and I'm glad you answered my question about what those wedges were made of in the description.
Браво, Эрик!!! Вы большой мастер-строитель!!!

Another great video! Thank you for sharing your amazing woodcraft skills Erik! ✌🏼
You jumped from the complete trunk to wedges already inserted. I wanted to know how you actually START splitting it

Is that a rubber sledge hammer?
