YES, Saturn UMK3 was excellent❤. I have also requested this myself but sadly Darryl doesn’t own that version. However he does have N64 MKT which is awesome!
Thanks for the uploads, Darryl 👊! I can’t wait for the inevitable continuation of MK Mythologies 😅. Joking aside, thank for being such a good leader and friend to us that love MK like you 💪
I am no leader my friend just a regular guy like you, I’ve been fortunate to have people who enjoy my content and who are like minded and as far as I’m concerned I owe this platform to each and everyone of you. So thank YOU Jeremy for the opportunity 🙏🏽
I played this with my GameGear as a kid. It wasn't bad. Some of the fatalities and collision are weird. But yes I remember fond memories. It's a different feeling playing on the real GG screen.
I would love to see you do a video where you play the 1 on 1 fighting part of "Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks"... tons of awesome finishers, and the art and sound style is essentially "Mortal Kombat II HD"! "Shaolin Monks" is a great game in general... but the 1v1 aspect (especially after all the other fighters are unlocked and playable) has never gotten the attention that it deserves... show it some love!
Yeah they’re pretty much the exact same. Not sure if I’ve ever shown that version but I probably should lol more room to move around in the Master System version.
request! If you could please play UMK3 on Saturn any tower, any difficulty, any tower but if you could for Kahn's Treasures play against broken Noob Kano. It's 4th from the left. The Saturn version was ported from the PS1 version of vanilla, that's why the menu screen just has the regular MK3 logo, although they added the ninjas they didn't change Noob Saibot's Kano design. At the skull startup screen the ? Menu code is C,R,A,Z,Y,C,Y,R,A,X start Easier way to Kahn's Treasures is doing an 8 player tournament if the ladder gets crazy hard
Yeah, is funny how on Sega Saturn UMK3 while the port is good overall, is funny how Kano Saibot was still in the game (as part of the port was just a copy-paste from Ps1 MK3)... it would be nice to see it.
Been loving your videos as I find your demeanor calming and refreshing from the usual online social toxicity that seems to be the norm. Played a bunch of these titles myself as a kid and always a joy to see someone else having fun with them too. I'm curious if you ever had a chance to play the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighter on the NES. This was, to my knowledge, one of the very few fighter games on that system and while it wasn't as good as it's Genesis/SNES counterparts, it was a pretty solid (and difficult) game nonetheless! Might be something worth checking out of you're ever looking for alternative fighters to break the norm.
Game gear... 4 -5 hits. Round over. 3DO.... 40-50 hits.... Round almost over. Joking aside. Great content. And I love the fact you don't video capture.
Yeah agree GB MK2 played much better than GG, I’d take that version every time. Though I forgot just how *large* the characters were on GG! A special request: What about MK1 for Master System?? That was the first MK I ever owned! It even had the blood code 😎
I owned and played this before the gameboy version and did enjoy it. Time has not been very kind to it though. It does look and sound good overall considering the hardware and is much better than the third installment. I was wanting your opinion on this one as compared to the gameboy version and now I know so thanks. After playing both yea I agree about this one being more choppy BUT this one is still enjoyable for a quick playthrough. On the bright side it does contain Kintaro and the voice sample 'fight' that is totally missing in the gameboy version and for that I give it props. THANKS FOR FILLING MY REQUEST and the mention. Have a great day. 👍
The Gameboy version just brings me back because I remember how it had so much fluidity to it! Plus, I am a Nintendo man myself lol. The game gear was solid but there was some flaws! I noticed some input delay i remember playing my cousins game gear and he had a copy and I remember playing his and noticing the input delay, or maybe it was just a foggy memory I suppose. I do believe the Gameboy is the best in my opinion. I also remember KINTARO flopping around like a well..... Yeah... Know... Hahahaha! It was hard to gauge the next hit on him. Great video! HONEY MARMALADE STRONG man!
Ah man I will never forget how many batteries the good ole game gear ate up for me as a kid haha! SEGA DOES WHAT NINTENDON'T! (that being said nintendo definitely did it better in this case)
Kintaro looks like an angry action figure when he walks towards you 😂
He looks, cute almost lol
its amazing how Clear "FIGHT" sounds compared to Everything else
art of fighting in the intro 💞 awesome video
Oh, i also have a request. PLEASE play some day the fantastic SEGA Saturn version of Ultimate MK3.
YES, Saturn UMK3 was excellent❤. I have also requested this myself but sadly Darryl doesn’t own that version. However he does have N64 MKT which is awesome!
I like how Shao Kahn turns into buttered popcorn.
Lol he does doesn’t he 😂
LOL!!
Even though the body parts disappear after the fatality, they still look better than the cartoony dog bones of the game boy version.
Darryl, you crack me up with the sound impressions of the characters 😂.
Well thank you, I try lol 👊🏼
Man, the nostalgia! SubZero was my go-to for this. Man, I need to buy a GameGear to play this again.
Absolutely for game gear both versions were amazing for handheld !
Bro grew up on everything MK also played the handhelds! Enjoy your content! Keep it coming! ❤
I was actually gonna request this..nice
You should try Fatal Fury Special on Game Gear. Hands down best fighting game on the Game Gear
Sounds good I’ll try out that version 👊🏼

One of the games a friend borrowed and never returned.
I know it had its drawbacks like short battery life, but I miss this era of portable gaming
I would love to see you do a video where you play the 1 on 1 fighting part of "Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks"... tons of awesome finishers, and the art and sound style is essentially "Mortal Kombat II HD"!

The tower music is so funky in this game, my friend and I use to just let it play and jam lol
Mortal Kombat trilogy on Sega saturn ;)
I love the game boy version of Mortal Kombat II
This looks like it's based off of the Sega Master System version, which I honestly didn't know existed, but it very much does sound the same.
Yeah they’re pretty much the exact same. Not sure if I’ve ever shown that version but I probably should lol more room to move around in the Master System version.

Shang Fun’s fireball sounds like a Mario power up in this 😅.
Nah i prefer the Game Boy version, even if i'm a hardcore SEGA fan.
I agree, it feels more fluid and responsive

I miss games gear and tough to find.

Joking aside. Great content. And I love the fact you don't video capture.
I have this version as well, but Gameboy played better, and the uppercut sounds
They made a game...for sure.
Lol yep
Yeah agree GB MK2 played much better than GG, I’d take that version every time. Though I forgot just how *large* the characters were on GG!

I played this constantly as a kid
The first two Mortal Kombat games were the main reason I ever wanted a Game Gear...
The Gameboy version just brings me back because I remember how it had so much fluidity to it! Plus, I am a Nintendo man myself lol. The game gear was solid but there was some flaws! 4:40
Scorpion’s Spear looks brutal! Right under the jaw. 😬
4:09 did Liu use the Force on that uppercut? 😂
I missed that the first time. 😂
22:55 turns out Shao Kahn was made out of chicken nuggies the whole time.
Dan Forden: “TASTY!!”
I shocked that this version is actually well received
I wish they would have had Johnny cage in that version would have been awesome
Mr Pak Would Be Proud 😂
This honestly plays WAY worse than the Gameboy version, which I found very surprising at the time.
Ren and stimpy on game gear > everything else on game gear. 😂 classics.
I had that one lol I liked the big character sprites in it 👊🏼
No Kang Turkey Noise in This Version 😔
The hoodie makes you look like a strapping 34 year old kid again.
Haha
i never even had a gamegear😢 i remember the gameboy fights vs the gamegear though at school lol the gameboy had overall better games like mario
This looks very laggy. The GB version looks much more smooth.
Ah man I will never forget how many batteries the good ole game gear ate up for me as a kid haha!
SEGA DOES WHAT NINTENDON'T! (that being said nintendo definitely did it better in this case)
Try connecting a RtX 4090 and run it at 4K with Ray tracing
I request Mortal Kombat 3 on the Sega Game Gear please
Ugh. Fine 😂 thanks for the request Rich 👊🏼
Sega nomad is the best handheld from that IRA.
Basically the same version as the master system.
Game Boy version wins
100% looks the best but the sound is worse than the game boy version IMO
