When it comes to cars, old is like 80’s and older. Anything 90’s and newer is still new because those engine are usually only sitting at 1-2 hundred thousand miles
I wouldn't call 90s cars new. 30 year old cars are old. If it's still running i doubt half of it is stock. And you will get a lot of problems with them compared to actual new cars.

And also the possibility that the car was in an accident is much higher. You may save money at start, but in like five years perspective a new car will be cheaper.
