You really shouldn't, many species are extinct and many more are protected now. Eating shrimps has made seahorses decline in their millions sadly not that many left of some species anymore. They eat baby shrimps and other tiny crustations that we also eat but the adult ones. I'm pescatarian for health reasons and have ate them in the past but not anymore. And I don't want to eat the lead oil petrol and micro plastics that is in seafood now. Huge cause of stomach and liver cancer.

I remember when I was about 9 years old I was at my grandparents beach house and I caught a seahorse .(sort of)
I was looking for fiddler crabs and I saw something orange hanging on to the floating dock and I reached my hand in the water to see what it was. It was a tiny seahorse! It wrapped its tail around my pinky, they literally look like something out of this world especially that bright neon orange one. I put it back in the water and it swam off using its little tail to kick 😂 great memory.

    • @cameronmillspaugh1601

I’ve never had such a life experience, I was born into a family who stayed in survival mode. So, I didn’t have much of an explorative childhood outside the apartments I grew up in. But, I do remember my mom taking me to Shedds Aquarium in Chicago, where I learned about them and was in absolute freaking awe. I dreamed about them for a few years after, and they’ve always had a place in my heart. So, I’ll be getting a tiny little tattoo of one on my wrist for my birthday next month. I know my comment was a bit of a downer, but I just found it interesting how so many children live different lives. And have the ability to experience things other children don’t, who have the same passions, or interests. Reading your comment took me out of my body, and made me question how much of my childhood was wasted on dreaming about these things instead of experiencing them. I wish it was more adventurous and free like the little moment you shared.
