Thank you Mr Lovemore Banda for the questions that have helped us to know more. Thank you Professor Allan Chimbetu for clarity, maturity and being open in your responses, taking your time to reiterate and re-emphasise where it appeared not well heard. Thank you sister playing the mbira. It is a wonderful background, our heritage and in correct rhythm that commensurate with the calmness that invite us to listen to the interview and appreciate the traditional instrument and sound.
Ahhh, mdahra mdhara Lovemoe Banda. Vakuru vakuru. And thanks Chibaba Chedendera. What a lovely, respectfully convo. You can feel how Allan respected the legend Banda nd shared more secrects than he had shared ever before.

Sir Banda you did not mention the mbira player to us. We wanted to appreciate her by name as she did much in staying strong and continuously playing the whole hour. Anyway, may she be blessed.
Shantel Nisha Soko is on the show playing the mbira. But that is not all she does! Shantel is multi-talented and also plays the marimba, is a singer, composer, dancer and choreographer. She started performing in 2006 as a backing vocalist for her brother Jah Lemmy. In 2012, she shared the stage with a legend, the late Doctor Oliver Mtukudzi, when she performed in his musical “Masanga Bodo”, featuring his wife Daisy Mtukudzi. In 2020 she was one of the “Celebrate Africa” competitors, giving her some experience and a clear vision that she can strongly stand as a band leader on her own. Shantel has performed in India, Mozambique and Zambia. All her talent and experience is available for anyone who engages us for their media production project. Shantel on her role on Lovemore Banda Live: “I see myself delivering the best of mbira music and presenting the true traditional values of our country. My performance is going to appetise the viewers as they wait to see the week’s Guest.”
