When Truex won his Championship with Cole Purn and Furniture Row Racing I thought it was one of the better championship wins in a very long time!
As a NJ native.. i hope MTJ sticks around. Hes the reason i love the sport. Met him a few times. Great guy.

I agree with you Dale, Martin is the type and caliber of a person that is rare in NASCAR. I will miss him as a driver, and look forward to possibly seeing him do a guest appearance once in a while. He will have an impact in the sport for a lot more years.

It’d be difficult to point to a more genuine or genuinely nicer guy than Truex. He’s always struck me as quite an old soul. With a maturity level that almost seemed wildly misplaced in a guy so young. I just hope whatever he chooses to do, that they are happy and healthy & enjoying whatever they fill their days with.
I'm a Chevy fan but I've always liked Martin Truex ( obviously when he drove a Chevy for DEI ) .I still pulled for him when he drove for Front Row Furniture and won all those races and 2 Championships.
I don't like JGR in general, with the exception of Truex . I wish him all the best whatever he decides to do .
When you were driving Martin was my #2 guy. He is now my #1. Hate to see him retire. I would hope he gives us another year or two.
Would be a shocker to lose MTJ at the same time as Harvick. ❤️ of the sport can’t all leave at once.

Man I was there at Chicagoland when you won in the 8 Car. The only Nascar race I ever went to. The videos and pictures are treasured memories. Man I miss seeing you in a car Dale Jr. A race without an Earnhardt in the field just doesn't cut it for me.

The only reason Truex lost the war in 2018 was that last caution between Brad and Suarez haha. Those 2 not tangle, Kyle was going to have to pit, Joey had already fell behind Martin and Harvick, and Martin was just about to pass Harvick when the caution flew. Joey had a great short run car and that was the difference.

I just don’t see Truex bowing out without announcing it before the season. He’s been so professional and a stand up guy all these years to just dip out. With that said, if he wins the championship this year, I’d be totally cool with him riding off into the sunset! Definitely would miss him, been a Truex fan since he came into NASCAR, and I’ve only ever owned Truex and Dale Jr hats and shirts throughout the years lol, but to go out with a title, that he’s totally capable of doing this year, what a hell of a way to go! Good grief I love NASCAR!

What do you think about, when Nascar goes back to a track a 2nd time in the season to race the track in the opposite direction?
Interesting idea, but they'd have to make chassis changes to the car for safety. Some of the tracks walls would also have to be changed because of the openinga for safety personnel.
Road courses are designed, mostly, to go one direction too.

It's the weight ,+ 7 for a lobster. If it's too big or too small it goes back . Deny Hamlin is scared of lobsters. He can drive a race car over 150 m.p.h. 😅😅😅

Regarding the looking age of seniors, I would say it’s probably contributed to smoking. Todays generation no longer smokes at young ages, and that’s a huge favor I think.

Hey Junior MTJ will drive for you next year, part or full time I don t know. You will use the charter you own at Spire, you will hook up with Ganassi and Pitbull , take over trackhouse, JRManagement will manage the team. I think you will eventually have a fourth team, probably a charter from Rick Ware racing. I think you will add the numbers 88 and 81 to the 99 and 1 cars. You don t what to use the number 3 on the cars in any form because of Austin Dillan and Childress. Childress wants to piss you off by using the number 8 and getting Kyle Busch because you didn t go in business with him. Childress wants money, he used the black number 3 car in spite of your dad. And by the way Johnny Morris loves you and will go with you not Joe Gibbs. P.S: Worst thing you ever done was drive for Hendick, He and Gordan never liked you and made sure with Brian France (who never liked you either) that you never won a championship. Also Mike Davis is getting out of line he likes to cut you up and laugh, he is big headed, I guess he thinks he owns the place now.

You know, when Kurt replaced Reagan Smith at FRR, Reagan acknowledged that the team was trending upwards. He implied that the good runs were coming in waves, and HE is the one that helped the team get to that point, then gets thrown out as soon as (at the time) mouthy ass Kurt Busch get fired for the second time from a top tier team.
So, two observations there. 1, Kurt really did not do much to help build FRR, that groundwork was already in place, and they popped him in the seat during a momentum upswing. And 2, Kurt really didnt do a whole lot impressive with Penske..... 2 years after he leaves, they start winning titles with much younger and less experienced drivers. One year stop over at FRR...... 2 years after vacating that seat, presumably for a better opportunity with SHR, Truex takes them all the way to the title.
Which beggs the question, was Kurt Busch really ever that good? His most success was in his early years with Rousch when they had 5 cars on track and were winning pretty much everything. Once he moved to a team that was lacking the top tier performance, HE was never the driver able to build that success back, it was always some unknown, or in Martin's case what appeared to be an established bust that was an early career one hit wonder. Now the argument could be made that the progress doesn't happen overnight. Which I will hit with a BUT.... as noted above, the mid tier driver at FRR was upset about getting sideline during an upswing in performance, and both Smith and Truex seem to have done more with that ride than Kurt did. With Penske is easier to see that Kurt played a larger role in improving the team, though Brad did more with the 2 than Kurt was able to do.
Kurt became that good.
I think he is done with Gibbs I don't think he likes Ty's Spoiled ass, and with Charters being rare He would drive for Dale J.R. in cup if J.R. went cup next year just my thoughts 🤔

I'm a New England guy originally and I've eaten my fair share of tasty lobster rolls in the past, but I got to say I agree with Keselewski. Those things are ocean insects. I stopped eating bottom feeders a few years ago and I won't go back. Larry McLouden is safe with me.
