This song has helped me through the worst times of my life. I usually don’t like country but this song transcends. I listen 3 times: 1. Cry my eyes out 2. Start to breathe 3. Courage returns. This will not break me. Thank you for keeping it safe.
Like so many others this song got me through some really tough times and on occasion still does. There are always hard times and hard days but if you are strong enough to fight you will come through it.
i learned of this song when i was in a treatment center in Hattiesburg, MS. the lyrics gave me the ability to see beyond the self-absorbed place i'd been in for a long time. this song is beautiful and poignant. thank you for telling me to invite the rain, Jo Dee!!!
I remember I heard this song for the first time in spring 2002 when I was going through a situation in a relationship that was kind of overwhelming, and other things going on. It reminded me that I can handle it and get through it and the future would be better.
I know this was kind of during the mesh of country and pop but this is one of my favorite ballots ever. I know country music is not highly thought of from this period of Shania Twain but I think this song is stunning. You don't need to over sing and screech to make your point.
Had a weirdly psychedelic experience with this song when I was 6, I was sleeping over with my fundamentalist christian neighbors and to get us to sleep their mom put this on the tv on loop, so I had like hours of waking-dream hallucinations of her walking through some rainy ancient forest, and I think I had her confused with Galadriel
i looooove Jo Dee's part. i love tim mcgraws part. but also i love Jo Dee's part with the song i mean she is saying the world is thirsty anyway so Bring on the Rain

We need old classics from the 70s, 80s, 90s and early 2000s, not some stupid, crappy-ass music today. Some pretty good ones are acceptable.
