Ground steering is done primarily with the rudder pedals. Differential braking assists in various situations while split engine thrust is brought into play for tight turns.

Awesome video! I live in Denver, but I've never been on a flight to Aspen. I've read that CRJ pilots have to have special training to fly in and out of Aspen.

Such a shame the Starship is no longer made or supported. By far one of the most private passenger planes out there.

I do have two quesions though: How do you steer on the ground? Is there a tiller or simply with the rudder pedals? And second: What's Buzz Lightyear's story? :-)

The Starship is similar to the majority of "light" twins in that it has nose wheel steering on the ground that is connected to the rudder pedals. Thus, on the ground, the pilot pushes the right pedal to go right and the left to go left, just as we do to steer in the air. The yoke (control wheel) is not needed on the ground once the ship is under ~ 80 kts, unless there is a strong wind that has to be compensated during taxi. O, also, the brakes are in the "top" of each rudder pedal. Steer on the bottom, and use your toes for the brakes. :)

Hi capt, I have searched for this aircraft for sale and can't seem to find any. I've seen a few in what looks like museums and also scrap yards. Is it possible to get a good one from one of those sites and restore it to airworthy? Do you struggle to find parts for this ac?
    Best regards,
    Ted.

Ted,Unfortunately, the FAA will not allow the remaining decommissioned Starships be re-commissioned. If you buy one of the Starships that are in active service, we have plenty of parts to support you.

Is this a very high maintenance aircraft? Or any different in maintenance from the kingair 350?

I would characterize the maintenance requirements as "normal" for this class of aircraft. However, since Raytheon does not support it, your maintenance personnel will at times need to be proficient at reading wiring schematics.
