Salaam and Jummah Mubarak! JazakAllah Khair, Sh Yasir Qadhi, for the part about single mothers. My mother, Rahimullah, became a single mom at age 43 (my age right now) of 4 young children when my dad passed away from cancer. MashaAllah she was a pious woman with so much haya that she couldn’t conceive of being with another man, even though she was advised to remarry by relatives. She was a typical, traditional desi wife of that era so it’s even more impressive to me when I think of how she navigated her new role as head of the household. Circumstances will do that - require you to adapt and grow. She raised us with little material possessions, but she gave us the most important thing - love of deen and pride in our Muslim identity. May Allah SWT reward her and my father with Jannatul Firdaus and allow us children and grandchildren to be a sadaqah jariah for them. Ameen! ♥️ Made me really happy to hear this khutbah, Alhumdulillah.

There is hard work to keep a family upright and upon goodness, but it is worth every moment and struggle. We come from families and will always continue to, so maintaining good families and honourable marriages is simply human.

"Live and let Live" We all want Jannah firdaus, don't let shaytan mess it up for any of us. Seek refuge in الله at all times, make plenty of dua, dhikr and prayer! If we work hard enough, we all can do this by the mercy of الله! 🤲 اللهم امين

Assalamu alaikum, O beloved brothers and sisters of Islam. Please, for Allah's Sake, I am pleading to all of you. Be much concerned about your own problems than that of others', especially scholars who are well educated and are always solemnly trying their level best to unite the Ummah and draw us closer to Allah.
This man, Shaikh Dr Yasir Qadhi, I see him to be very humble, realistic, open minded, forward thinking. And I really believe I am not the only one who sees these beautiful characters in him.
Should you allow any fanatic sway you from him?
Anyway, please do not insult, curse or send Allah's La'n upon anyone by defending our beloved Shaikh, Dr Yasir Qadhi.
Please, we argue peacefully. This will make Allah love us more and more I believe.
May Allah grant us all Jannatul-fir'dawsul-a'laa and our beloved Shaikh, Dr Yasir Qadhi.
    Salaam

Very thought provoking and encouraging khutba, JazakAllah Khair. We also need to ask ourselves a few questions: Do we train our sons to be good Muslim husbands and fathers, besides being good sons and brothers? Do we even try to be good role models for our children? Many parents teach and train daughters to be good wives but hardly any attention is paid to train the counterpart in a marriage - the male spouse. Do we make our sons aware of what a marriage requires ---the rights and duties of a husband, the pitfalls of not realizing what marriage really entails?

@@naheedmahmood2839 Yes, of course. That's what I'm saying. It *should* be that way, but I find that a lot of these behaviors are excused by culture or cherry-picking Islam to fit their lifestyle, preferences, or behaviors, when in fact, we should be doing as you said- teaching our boys how to be Muslim MEN (accountability, responsibility, respect, deen above dunya, etc. ) and not just being their parents' *child* that got married. Same for women as well, but this is more often overlooked when it comes to the men.

Agree with the Brother and precisely what I’ve been uttering since 2015! However, try telling the British public and British politicians this fact or those that engaged in coordinated working to dismantle this family!!! And to think they think that Pakistanis are backwards!!! However, they dislike practicing or devout “Mozlems,” probably want to dilute or water them down, hence engage in divide and rule principle, which is rooted in colonialism!

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The people punished most severely on the Day of Resurrection are a man who was killed by a prophet or who killed a prophet, an Imam of misguidance, and a sculptor of graven images.”

Why do knowledgeable people accept illogical data? I was expecting Sheikh Yasir Qahdi to critically appraise and provide an all round confounding variables to the scientific data he used on the proportion of children born outside the institution of marriage. Without that analysis we may be compelled by the researchers to accept their outcome in its entirety, an evidence which may or may not truly exist.
However, be that as it may, how would a married muslim couple live and thrive in a western civilized society? I feel stronlngly tgat the values of a western free society contributes significantly to the alarming rate of divorce and erosion of the islamic family values more than anything else. Small marital infractions and friction that could be managed through guidelines ordained by Shariah are now being amplified by the values of a western free society.

It's not good for a believing woman to be with an unbelieving man with the spirit of the anti christ always feeling too intelligent by turning ppl away from Allah and all of his messengers. It's hard to love a man with an angry spirit who is not a believer! Theres no future there or anything more then this! Yet he feels like life is not worth it without you but will never accept your God which is a part of you! He will never change & i dont feel the same about him. I pray to be freed from this man eventually. When the holy spirit was with me for a month i dreamed of a tall tall jin hovering over him while he was pinned to the floor like he was a prisoner suffering. I tried reaching out my hands to call him but he never answered me. He will never believe!
