What is Busch Gardens Planning for 2024?

- Busch Gardens Tampa is a park that has so many strengths, from the rides to the shows to the animals and everything in between this park is just fantastic. Every year the park is dedicated to adding something new for guests to enjoy, and it usually never disappoints. bUt i'm sure you guys are only watching this video for one reason. THE COASTERS. In this video we will try to answer the question of Busch Gardens Tampa getting specifically a Coaster in 2024 and if so what is it going to be.

The two things BG needs that would appeal to the GP is a Dark Ride and a floater airtime roller coaster . I think Jungala gets the family ride BGT needs.
My theories
1. BGT needs something high capacity for crowd control with Kumba and/ or Montu needing a inevitable retack so cutting a deal with B&M for that and a new attraction could be likely
2. Epic Universe competition BGT will need something unique that will pull crowds to Tampa and it’s not going to win in family attractions
3. As you mentioned since SWO is getting a family coaster I don’t see them doubling up this year
4. Since the growth rate for Hillsborough county is trending younger, singles I believe something more thrilling is otw
5. I do think the city would be willing to grant BGT waivers because of that growth
6. Flyers was a cloned flat ride in an isolated plot of land that doesn’t have enough pull on its own to be located there
This all being said, I don’t think it’ll be a 2024 attraction but I also think if BGT ever did get a giga an L shaped layout extending from Pantopia over the employee paths past Kumba and turning left to run along the ponds away from the wild life could be valid and help with the upcoming issues the parks will have with crowds once the current B&Ms need work

@@TheCoasterJosh It’s still hard to tell, they are going to do what the will bring the GP through the turnstiles so biases aside I think if they gut the Theatre as you said that would have that same effect . But that logistics of a Hulk / Nemesis effect occurring in the very near future screams BGT needs something other than Sheikra that can handle crowds and double as publicity because as world class as IG is those op times and capacity are horrendous

Yep! We’re gonna get PHEONIX RISING. It’s a family ride and I think It’s a stand up coaster. Coming In Spring 2024!
An intamin dark water ride like Valhalla at BPPB would be amazing… but I think it would mean the removal of Stanley! Which I don’t want to see!
Maybe a dark intamin coaster similar to the uncharted coaster at PortAventura in Spain?
There's no way busch gardens will ever use any parts of there safari space. They are way too passionate about the animals
I agree with you on the family wing. I think all the wings in the future by B&M will be family wings.
I think the same but I still think there will be some bigger ones made as well just not at the same rate.
It's going to be a giga because if you see the paperwork the are removing the employee parking lot near the back where Kumba is and they have asked to clear the trees in the retition pond area in the back of the park.
I adore this park but it is lacking in family style attractions and I don't think they would get rid of one of their only family rides to replace it with a thrill ride that will likely have a taller min height requirement. I think a family style attraction is more than likely what we're gonna get and it'll probably be in the vein of a Vecoma family coaster (which would be nice) or an Intamin Straddle (though i kinda hope not).
I agree, the Intamin straddle coaster is kinda meh (especially if not highly themed)
They killed off the kids coaster and 3 other kids rides so I imagine it has to be a family ride.

I'd love a fully themed indoor coaster with a story to follow. The closest thing they have to a more themed coaster is cobra's curse. I think of revenge of the mummy and gringott's at universal and I think BG could use something similar.
Considering that part of the park is more towards family I think it's going to be a family-type coaster
SWO is most likely going to go with B&M launched family wing coaster. And busch will get the strattle
I think it would be cool if they put the same design as they used in the python coaster all those years ago

Chessington is a park owned by Merlin entertainment group, they also own the Lego parks, but chessington is a completely different park, bearing being near LEGOLAND Windsor, 2 different parks
Yes that is correct, I am aware that they are different parks, however I couldn’t find royalty free footage of the Legoland coaster to put in the video lol.
It is always possible they will get a hot racer, since there are 2 new hot racers coming to France in the next few years. Really liked the video, I think any of these ideas would fit there.

They also removed the train ride next to phenox and there markers all over the side that phenox stood on to the area by Falcons fury

I think it’s extremely likely that BGT will be getting a new coaster next year, especially with Sand Serpent being removed. The question now is what it will be…

I think BGT will not put a coaster into the Panatopia theater because the Pantopia theater is home of Rudolph and friends during Christmas Town and Rescue Tails , i think busch is lacking a couple of water rides because in the back of the park behind congo river rapids theres a pond right there where the coaster can go I was thinking of like a Water coaster

Explain thanks. Why do you think it is going there. What about all that space where the Big train station was removed , right where the tracks get close together. That station cam out long ago. Is there now a permanent walkway directly by Stanley ille Flume and little sky ride hut up to about the point where the sky ride turns down past Timbuktu village. I recall a temporary bypass going in there like 07 when the BGT sadly removed python for something that is not even there anymore ( the follow up jungala or something ) plus The Queens Boat Ride and Tananga Tidal wave Splashdown was removed and destroyed as well... Saw online many bird gardens are closed, and Rhino Rally is gone too. So much bad change at Busch Gardens happening

They can build the giga coaster behind kumba, the big lake they own that land, they can build it there.
That would be super cool if they put one there.

I think a Vekoma thrill coaster could be very plausible. Maybe a tilt coaster or a new gen like Lech Coaster or Fonix?
I doubt they will get a b&m wing coaster since that’s what sea world Orlando is getting

I heard a while ago it could be a Vekoma. Possibly a suspended family coaster. However, I think a new Vekoma flyer model would be a great fit. Heavily themed (maybe ruins), with a lot of near misses and low to the ground elements. Much like FLY at Phantasialand. And it wouldn't really compete with Manta at Seaworld, since they are two completely different experiences. BGT really could use one in their lineup. I'm pretty sure that model has launches, too.
Close. BGT is getting a B&M family invert. BGW is getting a re-track for Loch Ness.

i personally dont think that a family vekoma boomerang will come to BGT just due to the fact holiday world is getting one, i think that they will have a launched wing coaster, something like thunderbird (also thunderbird is pretty small and could fit in the space provided which is the main reason i think a launched wing coaster will happen (not family wing tho)), thats just me though, and it probably wont happen

They need to get rid of the animals - set them free - then use all the extra land and add a bunch of rides. Add 1-2 family friendly rides and an indoor coaster to help with the heat. Next, fix the cable cars because the walk across the park in the heat is brutal. Lastly, a world class giga.
No, Busch Gardens would never get a B&M Wing Shuttler coaster. It would have HORRIBLE ride capacity.
