in 2003 i started seeing TOX03 on every train track across the city, since then i havnt left the house without eyeing up walls for taggs, cheers TOX for being my gateway drug into this scene.

I remember visiting london mid 00’s and looking out the windows of the tubes and just seeing so many tox tags with different years Tox 98 Tox 02 TOX 05 THERE WERE SO MANY!
As someone who was there 80s in London the first graffiti was by futura 2000 from nyc the trains have been painted since 80s the trains will always be painted.

I was always amazed how far up the train lines they made it. I remember seeing Tox 04-08 tags on the train just outside of Peterborough heading towards London as a teenager.
In the UK some writers have had 2 - 3 years jail sentences just for graff, whilst some sex offenders and violent criminals have got suspended sentences and walked free, let that sink in, remember, it's only f*cking paint. Great vid, respect to Tox.

Love the graffiti vids! Can you do Mode2 next, his work blew my mind back in the day! I was obsessed with Martha Cooper's Subway Art book (and Henry Chalfant's follow-up Spraycan Art) when I was at school, I studied every piece in detail and was obsessed with UK writers.

They do invest millions into anti-graff measures, it's just that they're far from perfect and there's always kids out there who want to graff trains! Can't stop everyone.

I’m sure I’m seen Tox up and not really taken it in but I drive all over the country for work and have seen 10foot up everywhere even the sleepy little nowhere town I live in has one of his tags underneath a motorway crossing.

I got into Graff because my friend used to be an artist.
Went to a bunch of the Santas Ghettos on Oxford Street back in 2001/02/02 (When Oxford Street used to be a shit hole).
Had so many opportunities to buy Banksy/DeFace/The London Police prints (back then for £250 a pop).
Would hate to think what they are worth now.
Biggest regret was not sinking a whole bunch of cash into it. But who the fuck were we to know it'll take off like it did?
