May be exaggeration,but I do remember now the Wheat Halwa served at Kaliakudi Hotel,Mayuram(I have no objection to somebody changing it to Mayiladuthurai) during my early schooling days of 1958’s.

Wonderful rendition--hamir kalyani is a melt your heart ragam and Raaga do a great job. Could someone please confirm the ragas in the ragamalika: Sourashtram, Abhogi, Brindavana Saranga, Mand?
What I liked the most is the way it is sung as if intoxicated ( the right way to sing ) Originally a hindustani raag Kedar well adopted by Carnatic but mostly sung as tukda . RAGA has done full justice to this beautiful raag . My comparison always goes to the Hindustani way of singing as it belongs to them . Full marks
