- Ranjani and Gayatri's concert for Ekatvam Holi Music Festival 2019 performed on March 24 2019. WIth co-artistes Vittal Rangan on Violin, K Sai Giridhar on Mridangam and Omkar Rao on Ghatam.
I am listening for more than 1000 times , either at work, kitchen, walking.. In fact I cannot focus on family matters and every time I listen it unfolds layers by layers and lot of beautiful imagination about full moon rasa leelas of Krishna comes to mind.. If a listener can have great impact just by listening, then imagine what this team should experience. The shift of ragas surprises every time I listen. I am sure little Krishna would be there listening and dancing by soaking himself with such a divine, magical, scintilling music. He may be even playing flute as a support to your raga, Alapana. He may be putting Holi colours on you all and calling you all to dance with him ... Trees, plants and flowers would be inviting you all to join the journey to experience Krishna and soak in Holi.....Deers, cows, calfs showing ways where Krishna is sitting on a stone with his peacock feather by just standing like a stone themselves.....in fact Krishna would be wanting more and more music and may even look for some more surprising ragas..... I love you all there on stage who could experience this electrifying experience and a pure bliss. ❤️❤️..

The lady in Tambura must also be a great singer or at least a great Rasika . She was keeping the Taalam perfectly in her left hand while keeping right finger on Tampura without missing her duty while her head was moving with every gamaka, briga, and even her eyes and her eyebrows and her smile was enjoying every moment and was anticipating the musical flow. hats of to her. this is also tribute to the Raga Sisters and their music.

I thank Ranjani and Gayatri, for acknowledging my comments about her student sitting behind playing the Tanpura. One of the brilliant singing female duos in Carnatic Music. (Soon to be Kalanidhis) appreciate their student and her caliber. With their blessings she will one day follow their footsteps. This also reveals the humility and great heart of the sisters.
I under stand their concerts no longer coming out in public platform. It was a treat to hear a RTP from them.

I thought the Vasantha was the peak of bliss. I was wrong. Then came kalyanavasantham. Surely, this was it. Nope. Then came basant bahar.
If one listens closely, the sisters and the ensemble weave a tale. I experienced an entire lifetime from birth, to love, to heartbreak, and then liberation. I never knew music could do so much. Loads of love!

Everything BHARAT is simply great. That is why Mcckoley had to introduce the ENGLISH IDNIA ACT of 1835 to Kill our culture. Fortunately, now we are slowly starting to respect. I have seen in the 1970s we use to feel ashamed of our culture due to strong influence of so called modern english culture which is suppose to be advanced it seems . Now in 2021 that hangover is over
The brilliance and the exuberation of Ranjani and Gayatri is all evident in this lively Vasantha ragam. But what I see is another MS Gopalakrishnan in the making. Vittal Rangan has it in him. There are fewer Carnatic artists who can switch over to the Hindustani style so effortlessly ...
This is probably one of the great master piece by RaGa sisters. I have listened and enjoyed all of your music for years, there isn't a rendition I've missed but this one is different, experimental and awesomeness. Vittal is a great violinist as well who carries the mood and brings more into the ensemble. God bless you all. THANK YOU

The Ekathvam event concerts by Ranjani and Gayathri were each a masterpiece of the carnatic music as well as the pure
devotion and mastery of the sisters with their presentations which as always were displaying the quality and discipline
of their rendition, with very clear display of their mastery over the swara, laya, raga, sruthi and their delivery in each of
the languages that they used to display in their presentations were superb and beyond compare. One could never see
any blemish in their presentation and they were very ably supported by the superior accompanying artists on Violin,
Mridhangam and Ghatam and each of them have their own very pristine and commendable presentations of their
skills as skilled accompanists. This set of all the artists are so good and are beyond compare in the contemporary field.
My very considered regards to their skill and display, and they all deserve more opportunities every where in the world of art
including in the Royal Albert Hall and in the international fields that sponsor and appreciate art for art sake. I wish i live
to hear more of the concerts of similar nature from them in the days, months and years ahead.

a simple adi talam itself requires so much of practice for a ragam tanam pallavi. i am sure so many hours of practice went into this. their determination to take up the challenging works like this is clearly seen in their performance. one should take them as inspiration and attempt the different talams like this. the accompanists have more than full filled their role in supporting the main artists. Kudos to the entire team.

Have heard this many times so far now. It doesn’t get boring at all. The excitement still stays on. How many layers and shades of Vasantha is being painted in this? Every minute of this rendition is chiseled. Perfection . As they say each and every flower ( notes)is strung on to the garland perfectly.
This is just divine.. tears flowing down the cheeks uncontrollably. Brings some kind of unexplained emotions. Takes to some place where it's full of flowers fragrance and beauty. What is this?. What a beautiful alapana! The way Ranjani envisioned and sang it with several meditative sancharams and then slowly built up the tempo - mesmerising ! And when Gayathri got ready to sing, visibly, everyone else got ready too to watch the fireworks and magic unheard of before :) It felt like all the swaras were hovering before her eyes and they promptly jumped in at lightening speed as soon as she looked at or touched each of them :) The way both of you glided and skated through the ragam was absolutely spellbinding.
Kalpanaswaram was absolute ' saravedi'. To me it felt like hundreds of decisions taken in split seconds boldly in front of a huge audience and executed so well. Kudos to you both!
My teacher always says that a learner should pay attention to the details when listening to a concert. And so I listened to this as part of my learning exercises for Vasantha. What an effort in vain! I just sat totally zapped with tear filled eyes :)
Every time I listen to any of your performances, it feels like being in the presence of divinity - your music inspires the same kind of awe and feeling of oneness.
At around 40:20 Shri Vittal Rangan prods tentatively at Basant Bahar and Vidushi Gayathri, quickly and very discretely guides him back to track :) So interesting to watch. His transition to Kalyana Vasantham is divine though! An amazing experience!
Basant bahar . Heralds the spring every year . Spring is touching with gayatri Mam's voice . Vasanta also a line of spring . Gayatri mam you are simply out of the world .I not only got goosebumps but was static for that moment . Vittal Ji's magic on the violin was impeccable and magical . What should I write ? Happiness flows through me when I hear this heart touching and fulsome RTP . I'm convinced gayatri mam is Goddess Saraswati herself playing with music . Of course without Ranjani mam this concert would be incomplete . Her voice merges beautifully in vasanta for she is the epitome of spring here . Her smile , priceless and her music is beyond insane . Thank you for this great , majestic and neck breaking RTP . Very grand and lavish RTP in the best raga . I can only say that may vasanta be kept singing by you throughout your musical journey . The song in vasantha is about rasaleelai, but it is ராகலீலை by raga sisters. There could be many Krishnas needed to njoy this. Blissful. Cmno words beyond congrats entire team.

The basant bahar swaram is a near impossible feat in that speed with million different swarsthanams. Even Hindustani stalwarts cannot sing this fast the swaram, also with proper patterns in dwinadai talam. This is not carnatic or Hindustani music, as Balamurali Sir will call it , it is INDIAN MUSIC.
