A lot of toy companies seem to be releasing toys of smaller scales. I wonder (and I hope I'm wrong) if Hasbro is using the Core class to test the waters if general audiences would rather have larger size classes at higher prices or smaller high quality toys at relatively lower prices. The price of oil is only getting higher, and the latest world conflict isn't helping any, gas where I live is $5+ per gallon already. If successful, perhaps one day the Core class will become the "main" scale, with deluxe and higher becoming more expensive and "collector" oriented, like how Microman replaced Henshin Cyborg or how GI Joe switched from 1/6 scale to 1/18 scale. Just a theory.
Well, while I 100% agreed with all what you said (I was about to mention GI Joe too and I saw you also did!) I can also tell you that Transformers Legends/Legion class used to be relevant a while back But well, yes, I've seen these figures getting smaller. For example, my leader class PotP Optimus is WAAAAY bigger than the Siege/Earthrise versions I own
@@felipevaldes3487 That too, all of the size classes seem to be shrinking a lot (though to be honest, I think Hasbro was kicking the price issue can down the road for years, constantly reusing molds and engineering to keep costs down until now). Though, the Micromasters apparently didn't sell very well which is why they were discontinued. This probably sent Hasbro the message that Hot Wheels size was too small for a general audience. The only reason I comment on this now as being different to the old stuff is that I've begun seeing many other toy companies introduce more smaller scale figures as of late (Fortnite Legendary Micro series, Star Wars Mission Fleet, Marvel and Star Wars Retro figures, etc.) all within the past couple of years. I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but it seems pretty convenient that these smaller toys finished development right before another oil crisis occurred. Who knows at this point, there are probably more important things to worry about right now.
3:12 Have I been SUMMONED!!!
Lol

Wouldn't bother me too much tbh
I mean my entire collection is bigger scale so if it ends and goes core class size I’m probably done collecting transformers
I hope that this means that we will eventually get core class versions of bayverse characters
I'm more impressed than I thought I would be. Do you think the eye is a bit over-sized, though?
0:24 Is that a Bakugan G1 Refrence?
It's a reference to the voice actor

Im 100% sure that hasbro gonna upscale this figure with more transformation step like the arms
Now I'm the second to comment :D
Let me guess "Why is he so small, why not bigger?" will be one of the themes of this video.
