You're overrating Maki's speed, or underestimating VS Naoya's. VS Naoya was running laps around fully awakened Maki. She was only able to dodge and strike back because of the combination of extremely linear movement from Naoya, as well as precognition on Maki's part. Jogo on the other hand is still 1/3rd of Naoya's speed, give or take, which Maki and Toji really have no direct scaling to, while also being able to attack omnidirectionally, making it a lot more difficult to avoud than Naoya's simple attacks

He's strong but not top 10 (close) Some manga spoilers but nothing big:(Unless you go past second warning) Sukuna, Gojo, Yuta, Yuki, Hakari, Urame, Kashimo, Yoruzu, Kenjaku, Tabaka, are some people better than Toji. But even then he can still fight with these guys and provide nice battles. Hakari is a bit of a high scale. More spoilers: Why that is:Toji is faster then Hakari (or if not around same speed) and about same strength or slightly lower. If Toji had all the weapons he wanted and that worm. He would win. Plus with Hakaris domain. Toni may be able to break it with ISOH or even if not. Hakari's noise would be enough to find his every movement and cut him in half with soul sword. And Urame is an interesting fight with him. (He prob would win tbh. Ice versus utter speed and being undetectable. Plus his strength and weapons.) The other ones either decimate him or have only some mid trouble with him. Possible replacements for Hakari and Urame:Guy who had a 1v1v1 with Yuta and sky woman. And. Prime Yuji or Miguel (Maybe)

Toji’s split soul katana is a direct counter to Mahito. Mahito would underestimate Toji and would die in single slash from the split soul katana (it’s ability is to directly cut the victim’s soul, which is why it would be able to damage Mahito)

It's not that he is fast and strong but with his ability to use cursed tools and understanding of jujutsu and curse he can easily defeat any curse including mahito and kenjaku
Remember that most cursed spirits and sorcerers rely on the presence of cursed energy to keep track of their opponents, Toji has none so he is effectively the invisible man once he breaks sight, and he is fast enough to break sight.
Idle Transfiguration SHOULD work on Toji, maybe not to the extent of a fodder and he may have some resistance, but overall it should, but that doesn't matter since he ain't touching him, nor is the domain helping. His ability to tank 99% of the attacks is blown out of the window by the soul split katana.

It actually doesn’t matter if his domain targets at all. The Inverted Spear shatters domains on contact. Mahito stands absolutely zero chance against his speed and the Split Soul Katana. Jogo would probably be the hardest matchup because his attacks are really fast, but he’d need to one shot Toji because it’s unlikely he’d get caught off guard by a second surprise volcano. Again, Coffin of the Iron Mountain gets instantly skill diffed by the Inverted Spear.

The other thing is.., the disaster curses are kinda just young and inexperienced. They haven’t used their powers to their fullest and never get to. Hanami was basically flailing in her first fight, Dagon was a couple of days old, Mahito is also a baby curse. Toji should defeat them easily with any forward knowledge.

Sukunas cleave and dismantle act differently, one targets MATTER (Dismantle), the other one targets CURSED ENERGY (Cleave). Sukuna can only choose ONE of them at a time for the sure hit effect when hes using his Domain, and he usually chooses Cleave, because its more effective in an overall, with the only exception being Maki. If Sukuna choose Dismantle for his sure hit effect, other sorcerers would be able to tank It better, since Dismantle is "lighter" to take on raw, but Maki would turn into Sushi, because she would just be considered an object within his Domain, and would yes, bê caught by the sure-hit effect. This missconception is Common, theyre not IMMUNE TO THE SURE-HIT, but rather, the SURE-HIT TARGETTING normally excludes them, since almost ALL Domains target CURSED ENERGY, not MATTER itself. Therefore, since they have no ENERGY, they are not considered a target at all.

Toji didnt take red reversal head on he used the inverted spear of heaven to block it from which he didnt take direct hit and plus gojo was a teenage at that time and we saw jogo take a red reversal in season 1 but still not break any bones not he got heavily injured
And the red gojo used on jogo was clearly much stronger as we can see from the impacts of the technique gojo just learned red against toji so of course it was weaker the same way purple only left a hole in toji while if adult gojo used it toji would have been gone to the last atoms

The idea that Mahito’s CT wouldn’t work on Toji is stupid. Yuji isn’t even immune to it either, Sukuna just hits Mahito to prevent him from doing any damage, and even then Sukuna wasn’t able to fully stop Mahito’s DE of 0.2 seconds (or you can say he didn’t want to or whatever, idk) The only two ways we know to prevent yourself from getting oneshot by Idle Transfiguration is by either protecting your soul with CE instinctively like Nanami did, or being Sukuna’s vessel. I think idle transfiguration will work on toji, but there is still the fact that we saw that only his body information can win against a soul, so maybe I'm wrong, but the "built different" argument it's too shallow of an explanation to say that it wouldn't work
I think a better argument would be; Pseudo-Geto and other characters have talked about the body and soul being one, Mahito can't just one shot people and has said multiple times that stronger characters may need more than just one touch. Toji should have a very strong body/soul so should be able to resist a good bit of damage and use the soul split katana to damage mahito with its soul cutting effect

i do believe toji is beating Jogo mid-high difficulty but not for the reason of him tanking a teenage gojo's red who just learned rerverse curse techniques pointblank. Due to Jogo legit tanking the same red but from an older gojo.
jogo sets fire to humans just being close to him, he turned stone debris in the air into glass when he was fighting sukuna. Unless toji blitzes him which he definitely could, he wouldnt last long.
Toji wins out of sheer physical feats, Yuji and awakened Maki could go toe to toe with a weakened Sukuka while Jogo could not land a single blow on him. Plus, Maki and Toji are equal physically but I'm pretty sure Toji's experience is superior @@kevingarcia-gz7or
@@Cala0314Jogo was fast enough to burn Maki when he showed up after Dagon died. Even though he didn't kill her if he fought full force against Toji it would be a lot closer than any of the other disasters. Also Jogo in his fight with sukuna was able to melt entire city blocks into lava so that would make it pretty difficult for Toji to move properly cause even with his superhuman durability we saw Maki get burned so he would also be taking some burns from the heat.

Why that is:Toji is faster then Hakari (or if not around same speed) and about same strength or slightly lower. If Toji had all the weapons he wanted and that worm. He would win. Plus with Hakaris domain. Toni may be able to break it with ISOH or even if not. Hakari's noise would be enough to find his every movement and cut him in half with soul sword.
And Urame is an interesting fight with him.
(He prob would win tbh. Ice versus utter speed and being undetectable. Plus his strength and weapons.)
The other ones either decimate him or have only some mid trouble with him.

It actually doesn’t matter if his domain targets at all. The Inverted Spear shatters domains on contact. Mahito stands absolutely zero chance against his speed and the Split Soul Katana. Jogo would probably be the hardest matchup because his attacks are really fast, but he’d need to one shot Toji because it’s unlikely he’d get caught off guard by a second surprise volcano. Again, Coffin of the Iron Mountain gets instantly skill diffed by the Inverted Spear.

Being heavely reastricted removes cursed energy of the equation and makes it so your body and soul are one. It was proven that toji's body could overthrow the soul of another, so shapeshifting based on the soul would be impossible

I think idle transfiguration will work on toji, but there is still the fact that we saw that only his body information can win against a soul, so maybe I'm wrong, but the "built different" argument it's too shallow of an explanation to say that it wouldn't work
I think a better argument would be;
Pseudo-Geto and other characters have talked about the body and soul being one, Mahito can't just one shot people and has said multiple times that stronger characters may need more than just one touch. Toji should have a very strong body/soul so should be able to resist a good bit of damage and use the soul split katana to damage mahito with its soul cutting effect

i do believe toji is beating Jogo mid-high difficulty but not for the reason of him tanking a teenage gojo's red who just learned rerverse curse techniques pointblank. Due to Jogo legit tanking the same red but from an older gojo.

jogo sets fire to humans just being close to him, he turned stone debris in the air into glass when he was fighting sukuna. Unless toji blitzes him which he definitely could, he wouldnt last long.
Toji wins out of sheer physical feats, Yuji and awakened Maki could go toe to toe with a weakened Sukuka while Jogo could not land a single blow on him. Plus, Maki and Toji are equal physically but I'm pretty sure Toji's experience is superior @@kevingarcia-gz7or
@@Cala0314Jogo was fast enough to burn Maki when he showed up after Dagon died. Even though he didn't kill her if he fought full force against Toji it would be a lot closer than any of the other disasters. Also Jogo in his fight with sukuna was able to melt entire city blocks into lava so that would make it pretty difficult for Toji to move properly cause even with his superhuman durability we saw Maki get burned so he would also be taking some burns from the heat.
@@gamoxu I get your point, Jogo's destructive potential is crazy, but Toji is not the kind to prolongue a fight longer than what it should, Jogo's arrogant personality would pull a Gojo in season 1 scenario and understimate him because of his no curse energy and his head would roll.
