  • please watch in HD for romantic goodness xD
    "i promise you, the truth can't hurt us now...
    ....let the words slip out of your mouth..."
    Note for the judges;
    Hey, guys. So I wanted to write just a little paragraph about why I chose this couple for the 'true love' round.
    The joys about Broadway and theatre musicals is that different performers can bring out different aspects of a character's personality. In the film, Raoul and Christine are portrayed as younger and sweetly romantic, whereas the theatre often brings out their struggles and growth throughout the story. Either way, I chose these two for the 'true love' round as, putting it quite simply, they always choose each other. They grow as individuals and from childhood sweethearts to a beautifully, mature and trusting love. I hope that the video showcases most of this, and I wanted to show the unique and emotional journey which Raoul and Christine endure and grow through together. To me, this is true love, and I hope you can see this too :)
    I also used a few voice-overs from the 1980s adaption towards the end of the video. Raoul's speech just shows how completely dedicated their love is, and whilst it is a side story, to me, Raoul and Christine's relationship is one of true love.
    ~
    So, yes. I have become completely obsessed with musical theatre. PotO and Wicked are my main two favourites, as well as Rent and Heathers being close seconds. My blog got so over-crammed with musicals that I even created a side-blog, lol.
    Anyway, these two are my bbys now and LOOK HOW ADORABLE THEY ARE! squeals Right, so, ....
    Video info;

    program; sony vegas pro 12.
    fandom; poto (movie and musical adaptions)
    date edited; 11th june - 8th july.
    Thank you for watching, leave a comment if you can :)

      from the 1990s Phantom of the Opera miniseries, it's a convo between Philippe (their version of Raoul) and the Phantom's "confidante", it's a cool series, & it's here on youtube :D

    Hi! I was just wondering, could you explain how managed to isolate their voices from the songs/background audio? I’ve been looking for ways to do that but I can’t seem to find a good one

      Hey there! Depending on your editing software you should be able to 'split' the audio and video then delete and/or move it to the desired spot :) hope that makes sense! It's normally a cut tool.

      Luwen Solomon Sorry, it took me a few minutes to understand that it is the play "Phantom of the Opera". I never saw it, even though I really want to see it :)

      Luwen Solomon Thank you! I used the 2004 film version, and the 25th stage anniversary production. They are both really amazing versions, I hope you like them :) xx
