At my previous (and final) job in corporate America ... in 2020, the CTO of our tech department called a department meeting. When I was waaaaaaaay younger this old body still remembers the time I spent (as a patient) in a mental asylum. They had group sessions just like this where patients sat in a circle and spoke about their struggles in grappling with reality. For most it was behavioural patterns they had allowed to define their state of mental health but instead of doing the hard work to overcome their indifference they decided to play the victim. Not because they were, but because by doing so it gave them power to control the medical staff, other patients and society. Growing up, finished high school in 89, I don’t remember race being much of an issue and I moved from Southern California to South Alabama in 1984. I was warned about all the racism I would definitely experience and it was a big lie. There were cliques obviously but things like parties were attended by everyone. Race relations were great at least with people my age. Sadly Obama was the catalyst for worsening race relations. The world today is claiming everything and most everyone were racist and it’s done an outstanding job of creating the racists that didn’t exist in the first place.
I'm a 90's baby/ early 2000's kid and I don't ever remember race being an issue. I feel like in the last 10 years we lost so much of the progress that we've made as a country, it saddens me.

When I was waaaaaaaay younger this old body still remembers the time I spent (as a patient) in a mental asylum. They had group sessions just like this where patients sat in a circle and spoke about their struggles in grappling with reality. For most it was behavioural patterns they had allowed to define their state of mental health but instead of doing the hard work to overcome their indifference they decided to play the victim. Not because they were, but because by doing so it gave them power to control the medical staff, other patients and society. The desire for control and power over others had become such as insatiable pleasure for them that most were in their because they had harmed someone who didn’t play along. Now, let’s close the asylums and see what happens.

Growing up, finished high school in 89, I don’t remember race being much of an issue and I moved from Southern California to South Alabama in 1984. I was warned about all the racism I would definitely experience and it was a big lie. There were cliques obviously but things like parties were attended by everyone. Race relations were great at least with people my age. Sadly Obama was the catalyst for worsening race relations. The world today is claiming everything and most everyone were racist and it’s done an outstanding job of creating the racists that didn’t exist in the first place.
0bama used race to divide in a classic Marxist tactic.
I'm a 90's baby/ early 2000's kid and I don't ever remember race being an issue. I feel like in the last 10 years we lost so much of the progress that we've made as a country, it saddens me.

I grew up in the 90s/00s and noticed the same thing. I moved overseas after college when Obama was in his 1st term. 4 years later when I returned, I didn't even recognize the country I had left anymore. The vibe was totally different, with seemingly everyone on edge. That's how rapidly America went from truly tolerant to totally insane.
@@TyinAlaska born in 95, and I never thought we'd be a country where a biological male can play in female sports, where just because I'm a white male means I'm automatically privileged and should feel guilty about the sins of white people in previous generations (who I'm not even related to by the way). Plus sky high inflation and other negative social and economic factors to top it off.
