As an Aspy (person with Aspergers) every movie I see about Autism goes over the top. My case is so mild that people don't know it. They see that there's something off about me but don't get the Autism because they expect me to be Rain Man. I'm 55 years old and never been married and didn't Daye much because my Autism, while not extreme, is still a deal breaker because women that I knew thought that if they marry me and bear my children, I will give then my Autism.
I realised that i have social deficit and savant skill trait of Asperger's after my son is diagnosed with Autism at age 2. To my luck, he turned out to be high functioning, so he's doing pretty well in school and is sort of ahead in some of the skills than his peers!

Have you considered starting to date now, since the women your age will not be having any more children? (There are also women who don't want children.)
Shah Ru Khan is a good actor, so it's most likely a good movie. Shah Ru Khan is very outgoing in his movies. I don't believe he has autism in the movie.
Forrest Gump had an IQ of 75. But being slower or socialy awkard or just different does not always mean you are autistic. It could be but never in the film does he get this diagnosis.
Barfi is a type of sweet treat, that's served during Diwali. I know because I'm part Hindu on my father's side, and he's from Trinidad. Also, I have Autism, so thanks for the suggestion!
We watched a movie years ago, based on a true story. Sorry I can't remember the name, but it was very good. The Parent's took all distractions out of a room, and just spoke to the young child, and all he had was a plate they spun around, and a ball. He was cured after alot of hard intense work, by the Parent's, and ended up as an Adult working and very normal.
I have Autism, and I've seen most of these, except for The Accountant. I would see it, if it weren't a crime drama. I'm not a fan of those. I didn't care for the way Adam had pandered to stereotypes about Autism. He sounded too robotic in his speech delivery, and people with Autism don't usually dress up in costumes if it's not Halloween, so it seemed odd that he was hanging outside of Beth's window in a space suit. Not everyone on the Spectrum is that childlike. It's like they were checking off boxes. And people with Autism are capable of talking about more than their interests. I know, because my friends have it, too. Also, I didn't like how the preview had referred to him as "strange." People on the Spectrum aren't strange. Also, there was an extreme amount of prejudice against the character. My Name is Khan was pretty powerful. I happen to be part Indian, so it resonated with me on some level. Except my father's from Trinidad, not India. Anyway, it was extremely well-written and acted. As heartbreaking as some of it was (he's mistaken for a terrorist and tortured), it was also about adhering to your principles. I loved Temple Grandin. Seven-time Emmy winner, by the way. In fact, I had written a paper in college for Feminist Theory class (I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology), and I had written about women and disabilities, and I had used some of her books for research. Rain Man is a masterpiece! Oscar winner! Beautiful and touching performances by Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. The love that Cruise's character Charlie learns to have for his older brother, Ray (Hoffman) is amazing. Best movie about Autism ever! It deserves the top spot.
the Sha Rukh Khan one woulda probably been a much bigger draw if he was more of a practising Muslim at the time. Also the other reason is the story needs to be more relatable to the broader Muslim population:: I can't related to a Muslim man marrying a woman from outside of the Abrahamic faiths; those who marry Christian and Jewish women already become astranged because their Muslim friends distance themselves from them. I know cos one of my mosque buddies has been married to a Christian woman for over 10 years, it's odd for me cos I don't want too look at my friend's wife or take her hand when greeting, cos I shouldn't... we're from a secular country, but society's used to having a prominent Muslim population
