The Rose!!! I love them!
I'm 57 , have been an Army for 7 years & a Black Rose for 4 years. Both bands are amazing. I went with my teen daughter to BTS' concert in Brazil in 2019, and last December we went to The Rose's concert in Argentina. .... we had a blast, best concerts ever! Both are astonishing live. Woosung's voice (leader of The Rose) is so unique... he sings in cursive!

We have so much in common! I am 41. I have been an ARMY for 7 years as well and been a black rose for almost 4 yrs. I've seen BTS twice before with my oldest daughter, but I was fortunate enough to take all 3 of my daughters to their PTD concert in Vegas last year. And I was also fortunate again to be able to take my oldest daughter to the Rose's concert in Chicago last October. I love both groups!! And am so proud of all their accomplishments. Not to mention, both groups are amazing live!
@@psin4953 Indeed we have a lot in common! So lucky you were able to see BTS that many times. I'm from Uruguay (South America) and they usually don't tour here. I was lucky enough in 2019 to fly to Brazil but don't see that happening again in future tours. The tickets fir The Rose were also very hard to get, they sold out in less than 2hs. They had to upgrade the venue cause it was too small. I believe they had no idea that there are a lot of Black Roses in South America
@Maria-wr6sx I always feel bad for ARMY who live far from where they will tour. We are very lucky that BTS comes to America. We went to their Love Yourself and their Speak Yourself Tours. BTS concerts are really on another level.
Don't get me started with The Rose. Lol we bought tix for the Chicago show even though it landed on the same day we would go to see Enhypen. So after I bought the Rose tix, I resold our Enhypen tix(which got bought up right away). Then couple days later, they switched to a bigger venue with a different date. 😭 They didn't anticipate the demand in Chicago either. Needless to say, we could've gone to Enhyphen and the Rose, but our tickets were already sold. Anyways, it was still worth it to see the Rose.

I love The Rose! They have 3 new songs, Alive, Back to Me and You're Beautiful. My favorites include Time live from Joshua Tree, She's in the Rain, The Definition of Ugly Is, Beauty and the Beast, Sorry and Insomia. I could literally go on and on but would then be naming all of their songs 😂. I hope you are able to do more reactions. The lead singer Woosung also does a song with Agust D, aka Suga of BTS called Snooze and it is also amazing!

I'm glad you found the ROSE. They make their own music. All four of them can sing. The main vocalists Woosung has a distinctive raspy voice. Dojoon's vocals complement Woosungs. I recommend their debut song SORRY, BEAUTY & the BEAST. SHE'S IN THE RAIN , BABY.
I love The Rose!!! The lead singer is Woosung and he has great solo work too. I would recommend Jackson Wang if you haven't listened to him before. Songs and MVs are fantastic.
Omg one of my other favorite bands outside of BTS! My friend's hubby is their manager and creative director. Super talented.
I recommend their new song "You're Beautiful", and a song the main vocalist Woosung did with Suga from BTS called "Snooze!"
Also if you want to hear the Rose live, their song "Sorry" or Woosung's cover of "ILYSB" live is soooo good. His voice is def insane.
Watching The Rose bloom has been a joy. As an ARMY I do have to say a talented group rising from busking on the streets to going on global tour inspires me much as the BTS story of rising within a near bankrupt small company. Woosung (Sammy) in particular is a Korean American who went to Korea to become an Idol but found it not a good fit so did a number of things before finding other future bandmates who similarly wanted to be something other than corporate Idols. This K-Pop group fronted by a remarkably personable natural English speaker brings rock instrumentation so I think is quite Western ready. Side note, Woosung sung the chorus on BTS Suga's Agust D song Snooze.
Childhood by The Rose is hands down one of the most beautiful songs I have ever listened to. Been a fan since they first released Sorry, just always release incredible music, and the vocals are to die.
Yes, they write all+, compose, and arrange most of their music. They are an amazing band very talented!
They are awesome! I met them recently and fell in love immediately. You should react to their recent realeases BACK TO ME, ALIVE and YOU'RE BEAUTIFULL from their album DUAL, you will not regret.

Nathan, thanks so much for checking out The Rose!! Other fans are suggesting great songs from them, such as "Time" (live from Joshua Tree), but I'd like to add "RED" to the list. They have a new album coming out soon called "Dual" and have already released MVs for 3 of the songs: "Alive" (my fave!), "You're Beautiful" and "Back To Me." I've seen The Rose in concert, and they're fantastic live!!
This band is a gem, and the Voice of the Singer Woosung gives me chills.. I think you would love the collab with August D/Suga of BTS, the song Snooze. Combining the best of two worlds👌♥️

Yes The Rose write their own stuff. If you look into their story you’ll see they went through some really tough times. The lead singer is Woosung, he’s Korean-American so his English is excellent, he released a solo album a while back while the other members were doing their mandatory military service in Korea (about 18-24 months I think). One of their hits from a while back is Sorry.
I did not find The Rose until last spring when Woosung (the first vocalist) did a duet with Suga called Snooze.
I recommended them before... a female vocalist I like is Aurora (Murder song, Runaway...). a vocalist that thoroughly leaves my jaw on the floor is Dimash Qudaibergen (SOS).
The rose is touring the United States. Yo army and black roses do not miss the opportunity to see them live

The Rose is a gem, many armys are at least casual listeners of this band :) Woosung (the lead vocalist) is friends with Suga from BTS and they have an amazing song together called Snooze, highly recommend!

Yup. The Rose write and produce all their own music. They used to be under a Korean label, but the sued a few years ago to get out of their contracts. After 2 years of battle and 2 of the members going through mandatory military service they came back as independent artists. You can actaully see a huge shift in their music from their Korean produced stuff, which is predominately sung in Korean, and their independent stuff that is a mixture of English and Korea between "Beauty and the Beast" (a song they held on to for 2 yrs during their struggles) and their HEAL album.
Happy you discover them !! They are amazing. I recommend “the definition of ugly is” live and “the beauty and the beast”. Love from France 🌸

The Rose! They are underrated but so good! And the lead singer is an amazing actor who has been in a bunch of stuff
Their writing process is actually quite collaborative which is insane. They all contribute and the lyrics have to be agreed on by each member. So if someone wants one word vs another they have to kind of appeal to the group and everyone has to agree to the change or it doesn’t happen. They’re so unique in everything they do. Woosung (the guy in the middle) could easily be a solo act but he won’t do anything without his band in mind. Even his solo album when they were in the military (he’s American) was to promote the band, not himself. He was talking to a company about getting signed and as soon as he found his band he refused to sign without them. Why? Because on the first chord he played with them as a group he knew that was the musical fate he had been looking for. Their Dusk/Dawn album is a whole vibe. Each song is super strong but heard as a whole, with the intentional “side a/b design, it becomes a whole different beast. You should really check out Alive. It merges 80’s synth dance and …well…I’ll let you discover the other genre on your own. 😂
#TheRose Woosung is the leader and he grew up in California …. their debut song is SORRY followed by RED, Alive, Back To Me, Beauty & the Beast, Baby, You’re Beautiful (new), etc. They have many great songs you could check out!!!
I love The Rose, my favourite at the moment are She's in the rain and Back to me. I cannot stop listening to those songs 💜💜💜
Honestly, you can't go wrong with The Rose. Woosung (main singer, lead guitar), Dojoon (singer, guitar, keyboard), Hajoon (drums, vocals), and Jaehyeong (bass, vocals) are top tier talent on their own and together. They had a very rocky path early on in the career due to crappy circumstances with their label, but they are independent now and are able to write, produce, and market all of their own music. They are powerhouses and severely underrated. All of the songs mentioned in other comments are sure to wow you, as I said you can't go wrong with The Rose, but one song that always hits me hardest, and I think is just an absolute work of art, is Beauty and the Beast. Lyrics aside, this song emotes so well through the melodies and harmonies, which I know you really resonate with, and the voices of Woosung and Dojoon are magical on this track. 10/10 recommend you check this song out!!

Their live performances are also very good but usually their lyrics are touching, so for the translations, I think if there is a music video, watching the music video or reading the lyrics if you want to watch the live version might be a better idea.

I am so glad you took my suggestions.... I am going to see them in Oct and they are GREAT. At the age of 53, and discovering them via SUGAs collab on the song Snooze. I was like WHO IS THIS GUY???? Like BTS, they write and produce their own `music. They are independent after leaving their old agency. Lead singers are Woosung (Sammy) and Dojoon (Leo - one on keys and acoustic) Drummer is Hajoon (Dylan) and the Bass is Jaehyeong (Jeff).

If you like the Rose, i recommend Lee Hong Gi(이홍기), Yoo Hwe Seung(유회승) _ Still love you(사랑했었다), they're also a cover just by Yoo Hwe Seung. This man voice is incredible, like angelical, powerful one of the most beautiful I've ever heard. As a singer and musician I think you'll appreciate the technic and emotion and I would love to hear you react to it ^^

I'm a fan of pretty much all the boy groups(like Stray Kids, TXT, EXO, SuperM, NCT, Day6, GOT7, PLT, etc.) from Korea, lol 😅 I hope you check out more from The Rose in the near future though! My recommendations would be for their newest songs "Alive" and "Back To Me" and slightly older would be "She's In The Rain", "Red", and "Sorry". The rose are brilliant you should check out more of their stuff. Also Woosung( lead singer and guitar) Was on one of Suga from BTS recent tracks called Snooze. You should check this out and it also has music by Richie Sakamoto(RIP) A brilliant and world renound musician and one of Sugas musical inspirations who unfortunately not long ago passed away. The Rose has some really cool stuff and one of my favs is ILYSB.
The ROSE is amazing and their new stuff is really pushing the guys over into experimenting with heavier sounds than their early stuff. I waited 2 long years for them to finish their mandatory military service and to break from their old, toxic company and it was well worth the wait. I love their entire discography, but HEAL and now DUAL are nothing short of 🔥 Thank you for reacting to THE ROSE, they are sorely under appreciated!
