Ngl as much as I like the new rev I'll miss his silence and totem and if used well the entire team can push confidently and that is what makes him so unique it will be missed
As a day 1 revenant main, I have to say I miss the silence. I miss the totem, but I like his new ultimate more, so I consider it a fair trade. The utility of the silence is too good tho. As seen in the video, you could put it on the top of zip lines and “trap” people with it and either make them find a different way to push, or give you the advantage in the fight by sacrificing their abilities. You could place it near doors or hallways when fighting squads and make them rethink their push to give you an upper hand. It was more of a low quality caustic trap that took away abilities. I like his tactical, and I think he definitely needs a movement ability, but man I miss the silence
In my opinion his silence was fine and didnt need to be changed, but his ult was awful after all the nerfs and completely unreliable, I do enjoy his new ult and I love the fact that it forces you to be aggressive. But in my opinion they should have made rev reborn an entirely new character or have the option to use new or old revenant abilities. Honestly old revs ult only needed a buff, my idea was to give you a shield while in totem thats equal to white or blue and take away the damage you take when dying in totem mode Because the fact that totem had such a big presence allowing everyone to predict that you are coming and where you are coming from and fry you before you can do anything forcing you to heal back at totem was awful making it useless, so a couple of survivability buffs to at least allow you to get right back in to the action after dying in totem mode would make it viable again.

The original abilities were much cooler. Disabling enemies abilities and a totem that you teleport to when you die? Who could have thought of that? And now he has a dash and more shields. I'm sad the old ones weren't better/
If i was bhvr i would have kept both as long as it did not break the game his mind is breaking in game and splitting as we can see when he talks to the broken rev in the waiting screen and would have been interesting to have two revenants in game arguing with each other all match

@@hidingisuseless5569 Complete opposite to me. Hated him with passion in his original form, awful character design that shouldn't be in the game. New revenant is god movement character, especially if you're on mnk, you can do so many cool things with his Q.

And yea definitely more mnk designed since you can now do stuff like guapee much easier with the improved horizontal movement but he’s just a worse octane imo
They need to give the option so players could still pick his old kit, it was my squads go to for climbing ranked I also feel like you kinda misused the totem when fighting the team on the ship, you should’ve pushed up then popped it so you could’ve utilized the free 50hp
His newer form is better, but there way too many quick reposition tacticals in this game right now lol. Wraith, Pathfinder, Octane, Loba, Horizon, Vantage, and now Revenant.
While i wasn't a revenant main i hate that he was changed it would honestly be cool if revenant and revenant reborn were two separate characters that way you could still use his old powers
I feel like classic would be a exclusive to the original but if there were two the new revenant would probably have it as a gold outfit (I'm saying gold because I forgot the word)
The totem and the silence are cool design wise but they really don't fit revenant as a character that much. The new abilities are definitely more "revenant-like". The new abilities also allow revenant to hold his own better, his previous abilities are more situational.
They need to change both his and vantage’s tactical, because at this point it’s kind of like the same thing. Loba’s is kind of similar too. It just feels recycled at this point
His new ultimate is honestly kinda dog. 50 shields isn't much when you're fighting mid decent enemies. Not to mention the gibby sized hitbox he gets with it.
really sad they changed him, people were mad about how "easy" rev was and how he was just a mindless rush character, but now hes even worse. Doesnt support his team, his ult has literally no sort of counter or technique that goes into it to make it complicated (ie old rev had tons of different was to use his totem from rushing or even temporary cover, could support his teammates, but could also be countered by other teams that are smart either by camping it, using it themselves, or destroying it. much more thought went into it), and his tact is literally just "zoomy zoomy i get from point a to point b fast rehehe" instead of all the really interesting ways you could use his old tact. New rev is sad and boring and im really mad they changed him, old rev was just so much better.

The silence was a unique part of the old rev maybe if they added a little AoE silence with his new pounce that would be pretty nice
