I love this video, thank you Lou! Trying to work out what you did to make a single line on each end. Any tips please?? 🙏

Thanks Sally! The lines are tied through the hammock using a bowline (so the hammock is sitting in the fixed loop), so then one line comes out from it. Hope that makes sense! Happy Hammocking! 😀🌳

Loving your videos Lou, thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience! Do you have a favourite theorist that relates to the overall forest school theory? Happy 2021 to you and your family

Thanks Lorna, glad the videos have been useful to you. Interesting you ask about theorists as I was thinking about doing a video/s on some. In terms of my favourite - that's a tough one! :-) there a quite a few that I think having a basic knowledge of is helpful to Forest School practice - but I'll pick just 3 for now! Got to have Friedrich Froebel of course as the originator of 'kindergarten' and being so before his time in thinking. Then, humanist psychologist Carl Rogers as the grandfather of working in a person centred way and how that can support a persons self worth. Then finally a contemporary author, Alfie Kohn, I think has very sound thinking in regards to being unconditional with children and not using sanctions and rewards. Happy 2021 to you and yours too!

@@ForestSchoolLou would love to see your take on theorists in a vid, happy news! I’ll take a squiz at Alfie Kohn, thank you. I also enjoy and agree with Carl Rogers compassionate theory and believe in Howard Gardners theory of multiple intelligence which can be encouraging and relevant for Forest School too :D Happy forest wanderings and thanks for your reply!
