    Having owned a BMW X5 and a Lexus, I'll take Lexus every day. Why? Reliability, resale value, cost of servicing, technology and value for money. I also like their design and performance. Lexus are so reliable its not funny. Our X5 was absolute junk - ABS, central locking, A/C and A/C fan all shit themselves. Wife bought the X5 new for $135K in mid 2000s - it was the 4.4 V8 petrol model. When it worked it was nice but, we couldn't wait to offload it.

      But still they say x3 has more sales than the NX. Well probably what made up that number are the leased x3s that will be returned before the warranty expires. 😆

      @@reddevil6585 laugh all you want, I can't be bothered looking up the current prices or justifying my wife's purchases to you. I can tell you, in Australia, the prices of luxury Euro cars has always been ridiculously high. Especially so in the late 80's through to 2000's. For example, in 1999 a BMW 540i Executive sedan with the same engine as the X5 was listed at $150K a 740iL was $208K - I remind you that was 1999. X 5s were not around at the time. A nice Toyota 2GR would be cool, and it was offered on the compact RAV-4 for a while (fastest Toyota at that time). In this age, a 2GR is heavier, less efficient, etc, than a turbo 4. I agree though, a 2GR with an 8 speed would make this thing butter smooth.

    I really think Lexus should invest back into their ‘F’ division, imagine an NX F with an Twin Turbo six cylinder. Or an RX F with the V8 from the IS500 and of course an LCF and a return with the ISF. Lexus could really make a unique proposition to buyers in comparison to BMW and Audi

    • @muhammadhanifkurnaen6689
      @muhammadhanifkurnaen6689 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Usually german cars rated at wheel horsepower, and at is "sustained" output. Because that when it benched on dyno, they pump more power than rated. Meanwhile, japanese car usually rated at crank horspower. some cars even worse, rated at gross output not net output. And JIS rating usually get higher number than din or other standard.
      But aside from that difference, most lexus car itself was focusing on smoothness rather than performance, even if it was F sport model. Only some (usually true F model) that focusing on performance.
