This is absolutely beautiful, Can't wait for the album version, if it happens to be on it. There's true Radiohead fans here :) Love how most people here appreciate this stuff...
Amazing, like allways. Thank You Thom for your art. And thank you Maggie for sharing your experience with the ones that are too far to see this in person, and with such a great quality :D
This is so beautiful. the chords are amazing and really bring about the dream-like quality. I love the studio version, but I think something elemental was lost between this version and that version.
I love his smile at 4:40!!! I don't blame him, he must have just realized how great it is to be doing what you love and have countless people love what you're doing.
Thom grows more drop dead adorably cute all the time. Love everything about the man, face, hair, skinny little limbs and torso...And I haven't even started on the musical gifts... P.S. Thanks, maggiebear74.
I love this, but the album version has me. This is missing the subtle switch that occurs after "I fell open", which has always hit me as one of the most impactful moments from their discography. It's like a twinkle of optimism or a moment of revelation that recontextualises the song, the album (as the closing track) and their work as a whole
This is my favorite of the new songs. It's the most original for him (them..radiohead), which I what I love about them. They punch in the face with something new, something inspired, and then they make it relevant. I love this song.
Imagine you are the only singing along with him, knowing all the lyrics and the whole melody and song and such That'd certainly be weird as fuck for him
I mean, this is why I'm such a huge radiohead fan. This is a brand new style for them. So many people want them to do more of what they have already done: another OK Computer or the Bends, another Kid A or techno song. Been there done that, you know? This is LP8 right here, I hope. Something new for them...I find this to be the most exciting song previewed yet.

i actually thought about this. what radiohead is going to be thought of in fifty years. they're ALREADY legends. you know that envious feeling you get whenever you see someone that seen the beatles live in their day. i seen radiohead live. imagine saying that to someone fifty years from now. XD
@weareaglitch Many reasons to play this first in the set. (1) lead with the best song; (2) start the set with an intimate acoustic solo with a moderately slow tempo to invite and pull in the audience to get them ready for the more propulsive stuff; (3) So Thom could say to the skeptics in the audience, "If you think this is over then you're wrong!" (meaning that there are more songs after that one! :)
@zenoviev I totally get that... I have a feeling they will finish by one last genius album and a mind blowing tour and than call it quits. I kinda hope they do as well, I don't want them ever to be taken for granted.
@headsonsticks There's isn't a single song on Amnesiac that sounds anything like the album version of Separator.. if anything, Separator sounds like it could be a hidden track from OK Computer..
It's weird that you're saying that and have favourited The Present Tense at the same time, which is from the same batch of current songs (and my personal favourite too). That's called aging, it happens to people and it's not necessarily bad - they can express themselves in different ways. If Thom's mid-life output includes songs this good, I'm more than happy... (and yeah, I've been a fan since The Bends too)
hello to whoever is reading this, a little bit after the last comment i made on this video i was sent to the hospital even tho im not sick, then i was within a clinic prison... while i was in there against my will i met two girls... thats what kept my hope alive... once i was free, i kinda sorta still am... this song is a song i will love forever and always, i love this band and i love every member... no matter what happens to me i will never forget this band... thank you to the uploader:)
i love separator on the album so much, but i'm devastated to feel like it'll never replace this cambridge version for me. thoms singing on this is just too perfect, everytime i hear thom on separator i get miss this one :(
I can't. Once Radiohead enters your life, is impossible to imagine on without them.
I Can't, as in the song from Pablo Honey?
haha the guy who yelled pop is dead
Jamie Whiteford at least he didnt yell creep
+montageofheck did thom answer "I know" in that weird voice? Thats how that song starts right? "I know pop is dead, long live rock"
+Bálint Ujvári Yea he was definitely singing the first line
its oh no pop is dead, long live pop
yeah , true.. so he said "oh no" in that high pitched voice then
This has me in tears. This is my favorite song of theirs. I love this version and Live From the Basement. So beautiful.
He is a great song writer, singer, guitarist, pianist and even he plays drum sometimes.
He is a true musician .
Roshan Rai and bass on the album version of the National Anthem
And bass with The Smile....
I always revisit this. It was a better time to be alive. Thanks Maggie for the memories.

I can't stop listening to this!!!!!!!
Damn, I need a studio version of this song. New album material, maybe?
Man do I have news for you
@@ariellopez16881 lol, thanks for the update! the irony is that I still prefer this version.
This is the best thing I've heard from Thom in a while...I mean that only in the best way.
Thom grows more drop dead adorably cute all the time. Love everything about the man, face, hair, skinny little limbs and torso...And I haven't even started on the musical gifts... P.S. Thanks, maggiebear74.

In my dark cloud. I can see the light in this song. Thank you!

Maggiebear74, these videos are AWESOME!!! thanks for posting!!!!
thank you so much for putting this up, it was such a good night.
This is just one of the most beautiful ones he's written.
Wow! Thank you maggiebear these songs are great!
If only I could time travel!!!!
Imagine you are the only singing along with him, knowing all the lyrics and the whole melody and song and such
That'd certainly be weird as fuck for him
i love you maggie for this perfect recording!
such a moving song!
radiohead does good things for the soul
this is such a good song, its hard to believe that he can still procduce music that retains so much appeal.
Geezusss thom kills it with that loop pedal
This is a perfect performance.
this song murders my soul in the most wonderful and meaningful way possible. thank heaven for Thom Yorke.. without him.. I don't even fucking know...
imagine what it will be when he will play it in live with the band...
I can't wait !!! =)
thom transcends the vibrations of music that comes from the cosmic consciousness...and he tunes into the vibration quite well!
Thank you so much for the upload!
That was so the most epic moment of my day.
THIS IS AWEsome! Love acoustic, would be amazing if radiohead went this direction.
I mean, this is why I'm such a huge radiohead fan. This is a brand new style for them. Spectacular
he says "guess what, i´m gonna do another new one"
What a genius.
i actually thought about this.
what radiohead is going to be thought of in fifty years.
they're ALREADY legends.
you know that envious feeling you get whenever you see someone that seen the beatles live in their day.
i seen radiohead live.

ohhhhhhh la cago pa bueno! lleno de brillos y colores
really sweet song
my fav song of TKOL so far............
this is the origin great!
@travroy I respectfully disagree. I love how he has evolved musically. This present Thom-era is simply beautiful.
this "raw" version is so cool!
I like his voice in this more than the version on TKOL.. More powerful, and more.. Well.. Him.
Fucking beautiful.
What else is there to say? Thanks to Maggiebear for being such a peach.

It sounds like it belongs on The Bends, fucking awesome.
wake me up oh wake me up ah ah ah ahhhh ahhhhh wake me up oh wake me up ahh ahh ahhh ahhhhh. Thom you melt my ears with your wonderful voice.
@maggiebear74 you are officially the luckiest person in the world for being present at this concert. we'll send your award latter.
i love u maggiebear
love his little teacup
You are the best!!!!!
Wtf? Almost every song on Hail is amazing.
Yes, Hail
Set it as your alarm on your phone ;)
@zenoviev I totally get that... I have a feeling they will finish by one last genius album and a mind blowing tour and than call it quits. I kinda hope they do as well, I don't want them ever to be taken for granted.
Thank you! :)
wow.. gr8 to see seperator stripped down!
@headsonsticks There's isn't a single song on Amnesiac that sounds anything like the album version of Separator.. if anything, Separator sounds like it could be a hidden track from OK Computer..
a bell will ring
Yeah thats a good choice! Thanks man!
He was laughing at the guy asking for Pop is Dead, LOL.
i would see a Thom solo gig a hundred times before a Radiohead gig
I want this on LP8!!!

he should enter a boss looper contest

sleepoptimistic hope you’re doing well now
@AreaCode978 Radiohead adds massive value to my life.
I like all of these solo Thom arrangements more than the TKOL versions!
most people do
Lol @ the guy who shooted "Pop is dead !", nice one ! :D
@travroy I agree, i like both aspects, i just miss the intricacy
"Pop is dead!"...LOL
maggie, you fucking rock, whoever you are
"Mouse dog bird" Hahaha! They should have stuck with that title!
@zenoviev I feel it. And how good it feels!
"if u think this is over... then ur wrong!!"
You have to see them live, not the videos here, really live.. the "soulless" impression about any TKOL track disappears inmediately.
Soulless impression?? ? Tough call. Like Amnesiac, balance the soul with the machine
aahh hahaha! thank you!!
@MrIndiemusic101
there has to be more songs written
this was performed more than a year ago and it sounds like a well developed acoustic version
i love separator on the album so much, but i'm devastated to feel like it'll never replace this cambridge version for me. thoms singing on this is just too perfect, everytime i hear thom on separator i get miss this one :(
im gonna say another thang, sometimes we all go through nonsense pain and suffering or whatever but if u hold onto your innocence and yourself =
:)
@dpthomas37 that´s what the setlist said! it was the first time he played it and he probably wasn´t sure about the title at that time ;))
felt so happy watching this :) and my heeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaart in my mouth
he says "oh no"! ;-D
