We use to make firewood with a buzz rig, it had a nice table to rest the wood on while you cut. But it was still way more work than just using a quality chainsaw like you already have. Buzz rig was a giant hemorrhoid.
I see a lot of people talking about the kid in the video. To me, living on a farm practically all my life I myself was use to things that most people find so scary. Yeah he was there but he never got that close. I know his daddy told him showed him the safety of a chainsaw. Yeah its scary but, we use to shoot guns too. Oh by the way ,I'm 50 now. Yep still have both arms. I was running a chain saw by the age of ten. Cutting up firewood. My kids did it too. No harm as long as you know. It's the one that don't know is the scary ones., I guess yall would have shit seeing a 7 year old plowing a field. With a 8 n ford and then getting the mules ready to do the furs with. Lol. BOO!
runcio21 , Yep, that's why they're so dependent on the government. For just plain old no non sense crap. They're parents wasn't raised to work why should they? They think we're the ones off our rocker. That's right folks, kids actually worked ok the farm. That was our play station.
this is a great invention! !! my only concern is you keep putting your hand and arm over the bar while chain is still going !!! and that is asking for trouble !!! one day you will not be 100% paying attention and wamo !!! no more arm or hand !!! so maybe some sort of safety could be introduced here !!! but as it is slow down and make shaw chains stops before next cut and before putting hands over saw !!!!!
Joe Blow If you cut from the pile, as you say, then there are snuffles that interfere. But this way I occasionally move the stand with a saw. And you do not have to be cautious with the saw all the time.

Love all the armchair warriors commenting on how dangerous this is. Welcome to real life. This isn't at a work site with OSHA rules and safety meetings. Lots of people do dangerous shit to save time. I bet 95% of the people complaining about this don't follow the speed limit, but they get right up on their high horse when they see a guy just making his life easier.
You can buy only from me. 😃 I lost my drawing. But in that drawing i dont hawe a lot dimensions. You need make on the go, from your saw dimensions etc... I hope i later make some bug fix, and uprade.
Chainsaw are designed to have 2 hands on them at all times. There's a reason for that - you can't run the saw and put your hand on the chain at the same time. You've now made this safety function totally redundant. It's now lethal.
If you see my saw-tool and other you can see, when i put some timber/wood then, i push with timber weigt the spring, and then the saw akselarete. When timber was cutted, spring is open and saw is in freewheel. Easy peasy!
You go from a hammer to a sledge hammer. From a tractor to a crawler, from a axe to a hand saw to a chain saw. By the time you're old enough you know how too. Not guessing. Just like going from a tri cycle to a bike, to a car. Learn the craft. Become something beside a burden on society. Now, who's going to yell , it's slave labor! Lol. I'd rather work for my money than pay a union to work. I'm not one of these that say, oh, I need 75.00 an hour to work. If you get hungry enough, you'll work for anything. I'm not too proud. Too bad people don't look at things that way anymore. Help who's in need and thank god that you can. Who knows, you might be the next one in need.

Nice job, very effective! However, with the small dimension wood, i would go with an electric saw to enjoy the quiet and no fumes.

My saw is not better for this use. My huskie have some freewheel. Some upgrade is necesarry too!

Needs a te is ball on the end of the rod that holds the stop. Otherwise spread the legs on an angle so it's not so tippy & it's perfect!
