  • This track Perfect Peace was recorded as a tribute to my mum Jadwiga Bedziejewska - 27.01.1927 - 25.02.2021. One of the lovely tributes paid to her says that in life people may not remember what you said to them but they remember how you made them feel and although they don't remember the conversations with my mum they remember always feeling a great warmth and kindness from her, they also said that this is a rare and special quality. My mum taught me so much in life and encouraged me to follow my passions of photography and music. I had the honour and privilege of being with her during her last week which was calm and peaceful. So much love - Jurek
This bowl is new to our collection and has a wonderful clear tone with a long sustain - we found there was something really beautiful in its sound, something really peaceful and hope you enjoy listening - best wishes Pam and Jurek

Simple guidance for mindfully listening to this sound of singing bowl meditation
Sit in a comfortable position for you, allow your shoulders to drop and rest your hands in your lap or on your knees.
Take a few deep breaths allowing your out breath to be longer than your in breath, feel the rise and fall of your body as you breathe in and out.
Return to your body breathing naturally, feel the rhythm of your body, the familiar movement of breathingNow place your attention on the sound of the bell, fully focus on the sound, following each strike
Notice if the sound affects any part of your body more than anotherNotice the quality of the sound
As you listen to the bell notice your mind calming and your body relaxing If your mind wanders as it will do, bring your attention back to your breath for a moment or two, the familiar rhythm of body then focus again on the sound
Notice how your body feels at the end of this sound meditation
Give yourself a couple of minutes to simply sit before beginning gentle movements, perhaps gently shaking your hands, flexing your toes and circling your ankles
Finally place your hands together over your heart area and acknowledge this time you've given yourself to relax and refresh

This is the actual best one on all of TH-cam that I can find. It’s all about the slow fade, which brings you right into stillness,Silence, and presence. Turn loop on and listen for extended periods of time of meditation. Excellent and thank you!

What a perfect reminder that all things are merely phenomena. Like the sound of this lovely bell they arise, stay for a while and then fade and vanish. And this is true for us too. Thus have I heard ’This fleeting world', says Buddha, 'is like a star at dawn, a bubble in a stream, a flash of lightning in a summer cloud, a flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream'. Sharing with you in honouring your late mother in this beautiful and loving way.

Thank you for your kind words - I still remember the first time I went to a sound bath and I was just totally drawn in to the sounds. I was recovering from serious illness and had had three significant bereavements in two years, nearly everything in my life was changing and somehow the sound helped me to process the grief, the trauma and to focus on recovery and deciding how I would like my life to be. I began with a drum borrowed from a friend, then bought my first singing bowl (tooks hours and hours choosing which one to buy), then I bought three more and eventually a gong. I met Jurek when we were on a workshop to make our own frame drums and we became friends, then creating sound baths together and now we are partners in life too. We both love what we do and it sounds like you already love creating sound scapes and journeys and meditations.
We wish you all the best with your wonderful journey on this sound healing path and for 2022 - Pam

May this warm, peaceful and beautiful sound reach your mum in the Blissful Land. Thank you for sharing this tribute to your mum, beautifully recorded. This has brought about a thought in me to get a temple bell as good as this to be placed near my late parents' altar, so that I can pay tribute in the same way to my late parents. Could you please share where you have bought this temple singing bowl?

    • @sound-and-silence

Hi Kim, Thank you for your kind comment. I bought this temple bell on ebay from this seller - www.ebay.co.uk/str/menkoicm - These temple bells are all used and each one is unique so the bells you see for sale may not be exactly the same as mine. Mine is 27 cm wide and 23 cm high. If you cannot see one you like keep looking and be patient as new bells go for sale all the time. Good luck if finding the bell that sings for you. Best wishes Jurek and Pam 💜

HI John, thank you for you lovely comment. I have bought this temple bell from this seller on ebay - www.ebay.co.uk/str/menkoicm?_trksid=p2047675.l2563 - The bells are all used and they are all unique, on the listing there is always a sound clip so you are able to have a listen. I always try to buy somthing that I love the sound of and it is questions of patience and luck. There are new temple bells listed all the time. I hope you find somthing that you love. Best wishes Jurek
