It's very frustrating as we applied back in September and still have not received our tourist visas. The ETA said mid-December they will respond, but didn't. We inquired and then they revised the update to January 2nd and still no response as of now. We are supposed to leave on January 20th, but don't know if they will allow us in or not. Very frustrating. We applied early enough, but not even a response after January 2nd has come and gone. Is there anything that we can do to speed up the process? We still haven't gotten any AUD and that will take time too becuase the turn around after we request it takes awhile. Yeah, very hard and it's been off putting and we kinda don't want to go to Australia anymore, but we spent so much money that we can't get back. smh No response is really horrible in business and tourism is a business. We don't feel welcomed in the country and that's why we aren't as excited mainly because we don't know if we are going or not. It definitely takes out some of the excitement because we are in limbo. We don't have a criminal record. We went to Europe where you don't need to get a visa and didn't do any damage to the country. We aren't sure what's going on because there is no response except the form replies that said they will get back to us and haven't. It's not good business to not respond at all and makes it more frustrating. sigh
