Thats hard enough to play with valves, much respect for the musicians who can master that amount of lip and hand technique, it's nothing short of brilliant. Mozart sure was a daffy duck but a genius that comes along once in a generation.
Even though I've read these comments before, it's great to see a video with them (and the original text) included with the music. Love it! Love this channel. Keep up the good work.
Hi, You can download the entire manuscript here: imslp.org/wiki/Special:ImagefromIndex/292705 click in "Click here to continue your download.", wait 15 seconds and download the file. This picture is the 17 page of the manuscript. Can you imagine Mozart and Leutgeb lookinking at that same page you are? Listening Mozart's music and looking to the manuscript at the same time bring some special feelings. Best Regards M. P.
About the picture you see in the video, it was made by me but i cant find it right now. If you really want to have it just tell me and i will rebuild it. Best Regards
+on Period Instruments if you do find time to make this picture again that would be lovely, but I wouldn't ask you to. In the event that you do come across it somewhere in your computer please send me the file. Thx a lot!
Here you have it. s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=36367678315011818658 When Mozart wrote this, was he talking about Leutgeb playing the Horn or was he talking about Leuteb doing something "different"?! I bet he was. Best Regards MP
1:42 Ah, there are few things more satisfying than the cadential trill.

The idea of Mozart as a “Daffy Duck” is calumny and wouldn’t it be sweet if there were a Mozart once in a generation instead of just once
Their were no valves on horns during Mozart’s days there were certain cork screws for each key.

How you describe your proscess of composition of the horn concerto n1 Herr Mozart?
"Oh, pain in the balls!"
I think he was talking about the horn player ahaha.
Is this using the baroque tuning?
Yeap
Actually, this music's tuning is A432. but baroque tuning is A415 in general
Tuning was not standardized then so using terms like baroque tuning is meaningless. But 415 it wasn't.
I enjoy the Allegro like this the most, push-and-pull and little...bouncy?
Where is "eat 15 snacks!"?
Where di you find this lovely picture? Could you send it to me?
