- This is an optimal combo guide for Jun Kazama in Tekken 8. We go through every launcher and CH launcher; inputs also present in the video. Combos range from easy to advanced - Some launchers have 3 different routes and they are ordered from easy to advanced. There is a thing for everybody! #tekken8 #junkazama

IMPORTANT UPDATES:
* The combo ender shown on 4:02 is no longer possible due to a system change with the February patch. Opponents can now get up before the last hit.
* The wall combo shown on 8:54 is no longer possible, it has been nerfed.

As I said before, the first thing I did was to update the Jun combo I made during Beta. I also categorized everything so that it is easier to digest. You will see some combos gradually becomes harder (1st is easy, 2nd is medium, 3rd is harder) this was to make sure there is a thing for everybody! its fantastic. i just picked her up and this is a lot of help! can you maybe recommend some strong buttons for neutral? not necesarily combo starters, just something to press to mix
Df1 is good! It has 2 follow ups - one is high and safe, the other one is mid and unsafe with -11. It could be used as a mix up tool imo. 1,3, db3 and d4 is also nice to throw out - especially d4 feels so sneaky to me lol I will make a video on this topic as well, hopefully soon!

I LOVE how clear you have the button inputs on top of the screen. Tekken’s button visual for combos looks so wonky lol. I always think I’m supposed to press triangle instead of circle 😂😂 thanks! **subscribed**
The button visuals are more stick/leverless layout and never really thought about it but it would be cool if it had a layout for pad to make it more clear for pad users
I don't think there's an option to change it in Tekken 8 as well. I'm so confused with all of it being white. While it Tekken 7 it was very clear with yellow, blue color etc and you can change the color according to your controller as well

At combo 1:48, instead of doing 2 after shfiting form izumo you can do 1+1 and get 2 more damage. Ive been practicing theses combos for so long now im starting to reconginze which moves are what and try to put my own strings together. Thanks a lot man

See it as a combo extender - you have plenty of the time to continue the combo after a tornado move hits. Opponent can’t escape this status until the “falling” animation is over
FC DF2 counter hit can get you 14+ and guarantee a WS3 into full combo for 90dmg, no heat nor rage, lmao. After WS3, just gotta do the staple from 1:27

Max damage combos would be probably similar to 1:56 but I haven't tested any yet. I hope I can do it some time tho, thanks for the suggestion!

Is it hard to play Jun?
I wouldn’t say she is hard. She has three stances and these might look intimidating at first. She doesn’t really rely on them except for combos, but still they are your main mix-up tool. She also had good neutral tools and good lows. She can also be really aggressive with + on block mids. So yeah, if you think that’s right up your alley, try her!

I downloaded them back in Tekken 7 and added the Tornado effect myself. There was a site for it but I can’t find it, I’ll let you know! There is also this site that I use sometimes, it is really helpful!

The game does contain sample combos but they are very basic and not really optional. I prepared this and added the inputs, thank you btw!

Are the combos with health loss truly worth it? Like what is the upside vs downside? It seems any dmg you gain gets mitigated by what you lose but idk?
In this game you gain health when you are attacking so if you land all your stuff it benefits you really since the damage is higher and you will be healing some if not all of it depending on how long it is. As long as you have grey hp and you are hitting them, you should be getting hp back.

Question. I didn't see it but i noticed there is grab that launches opponents into the air. I haven't figured out how he did it to me but it was a whole animation and i thought it was a rage art in unaware of

Ahhh, I see many things here to use. I was on the same track. I have shorter but just as damaging. Yet a few things in here are pieces of the puzzle to make things I was doing better. Still not doing th 100% in matches but getting there.i need more practice. Trying to figure how her natural game is played.
I was planning on playing Kazuya since I dabled with him in 7. Is Jun close to Julia in playstyle? Havent played any previous games to 7.
I think they are similar, both can be played really aggressively. Maybe this is also the reason most of Julia players use Jun now lol

I can't seem to get the ff2.f(Hold)2 to connect after f3+4.4 so last 2 sections

That one is tricky, I agree. I would suggest you to do it in an easier and shorter combo that includes that part and when you get the hang of it, try applying to longer combos.
what are the requirements for getting the full grab animation out of genjitsu stance, im getting the hit but no grab sometimes
If the opponent is off-axis during the hit, the grab won’t work. It is better to end with ff2,3 in that situation!

Why does ff2, back stance 1 (corkscrew) like never wanna connect? I’m doing it as fast as I can in combos it’s very inconsistent
Is it for every combo or lnger ones? I know it is harder to connect in longer combos. You might also be off-axis in some situations maybe?
@@Pssmsdf2, b4, 2, ff2, b, 1 screw, ff2, f, 2. No off axis. It is just random. Do you delay the 1 press when you go to screw or input it very fast?
I tried again couple of times and delaying it makes it whiff so you have to input it fast (but it is not that strict). But you already said you are doing it fast, maybe ff2 timing needs to be changed?
I also got a combo that does a little more dmg on CH DF4, it goes DF4. UF3. F3,2. 1,1. B2,1. F2. Does 76 dmg and is relatively simple ❤️❤️ hope my fellow Jun mains get something out of this combo 😁 P.S. it works on CH FF2,2 as well but replace the DF4 with FF2,2.

Heres another counterhit combo i found
Counter hit izumo 4 > u/f 2> f 3+4> gen 4> b4,2> ff2f>gen 2 =73 damage
These combo inputs are not present in the game, yes? You put them there yourself?

For the second combo, every time I do B+2, 1, it activates her Ki and it makes me miss the next F+ 3, 2. I have no idea how to stop this from happening.
Hello, you are probably holding back after b+2,1. It makes her enter Miare stance. Try releasing the back button, hope this helps!
What’s the sparkles at the beginning of the CH combos
It is called Ki Charge.(1+2+3+4) It makes your hit counter hit.

Yes, I tested it again with Xiaoyu and it still works! It could be hard vs. Xiaoyu because she has a smaller body
I have found two wall combos that I think are pretty good!
1st: b+2, 1, b - Mia 2
20 damage
2nd: ws+1, 1, b - Mia 2
21 damage
Unless there are better ones..?
I know the first one! I also remember doing ff2b mia 2 during beta if the combo is somewhat longer. I never tried ws1,1 before tho, I will try it. The first hit of ws1 is high so it might not be reliable in longer combos? I think her best wall combo is always be ff,3,3+4 into 1+2. It might even get nerfed lol Thank you for the suggestions!
what are your binding for heat smash?
It is the same as the game, I didn’t change it- R1 or 2+3

Same here. My guess is that this combo is pure rng meaning sometimes you hit that one pixel, other times not. Shame

I have to say the updated Jun is even better than Asuka kazama.
Some counterhit combo I discovered that has slightly more dmg than what was shown
CH FC2 > ws 3> b4,2 > f3,2> izumo 1,1> b2,1,f,gen 2 =84 dmg
CH ws2 > d1+2 > f3+4, 4> b4,2 > ff2,gen2 =74 dmg
CH izumo 4> uf2> f3+4, 4> b4,2 > ff2,gen2= 73 dmg
As for the first ws1+2 counter hit combo replacing the ending with b2,1,f,gen2 instead will net 1 extra damage

Just tried for like 2 hours it's possible but far too inconsistent to use in a match. You can replace mirage with the ff+2*2 ender for 70 damage still
@@konceitedk5678 genjitsu 4's timing might be the issue here? If you do it late, the ff2,3 will most likely whiff. You can replace that whole sequence with 3, will be less damage but it will be easier!
i was wondering if the combo at 1:26 still work consistently for anyone ? (for me it always drops after the 7th hit)
It works but like you said this combo is very easy to drop after 7th hit. You can try to delay f3+4,4 and see if it is easier to do that way. I personally don't delay it but it is an option!

I never tried low parry combos outside of online matches but from top of my head, I always do b4,2 > f3,2 > 1,1. I am pretty sure there are better ones though

The inputs in this game are fkd up or I just can't get the -> -> 2 consistently during combos? Like wtf is going on, I check in the input history and is correct but keep dropping?
there is too much use of diagonals, two buttons at once and too many moves with similar inputs. You hurt your body less if you go to fight irl. The hit at 5:12 is nearly impossible, I got it right a few times and if you are 2 ms slower you can do 120 damage instead of 88 (the hit counter resets in that moment)
I think I’m too dumb for this game hahah
