Probably the best Ginrai/Powermaster Optimus figure ever. Good luck getting one now, it is sold out in most stores and the only availables ones have a price about 50% higher than the original.
Very nice Ginrei, especially the small human attached to front side when transform combine with the truck, but it weakness for me is the painting (Sample issue??) and the Godbomber, for me, it design looks far different from the animation. I am wondering this Godbomber can transform to robot mode or not. Thanks for sharing~
So I could pay 125 for a quality Ginrai that has a cool and accurate look, or I could pay 170 for an official Ginrai that has a lot of finicky parts and an overall, thrown together look. They're also about the same size. Yep, getting this one.
This one isn't really accurate either. all versions of Ginrai since the g1 have been stylized or compromised retools(Legends) Oh how I yearn for a Masterpiece take on him to go with Star Saber. a man can dream. a man can dream.
To be fair on the whole God Bomber situation, adding another transformers would probably boost up the price to $200-300. Having just the armor plus thunder manus and tons of accessories is a pretty good price.
I actually don't mind if the "God Bomber" unit doesn't have a robot mode. I just want it to be solid. That aside, the figure right now needs more paint apps especially on both heads. Preferably silver face mask just to make it pop. I hope this gets fixed on the official release.
Exclusive! I agree with you Baltmatrix, except on one little detail: Erebus is based on the Nucleon Quest colours of Optimus Prime. Not on Nemesis Prime. Just a good guy in ashy colours. =P A different armour would be nice though, pref one that lacks iffy thrusters. FTR though, Maketoys is a good company, they are willing to help a guy get replacement parts, like one hand on my Quantron set. XD

On a personal note, even without knowing the source material, I saw Erebus as more of a 'black knight' or 'Night-Ops' type deal, rather than a being a bad-guy. Mostly because if Erebus was supposed to be a Nemesis, they probably would've kept the naming and color scemes from their first wave of CD eg. "Thunder Noir", teal accents, and red eyes. Besides, I already have my armed-to-the-teeth Striker Noir to act as my Nemesis Prime.

While there is a standalone CD God Bomber coming out later that is supposed to also combine with Thunder Manus, it'd be great if they included, or sold separately, an add on kit to combine with the Divine Suit to make him a full God Bomber as well.

Have to admit, this does look good when fully combined, but man, that saint seiya like armor feature, I don't know if I'll play with it more than 3 times or not, which surprisingly, while the Takara version isn't perfect, especially with the ankle problem, I kinda see more love put into the transformation design of their God Bomber than this Maketoy's style suit. At least I'm planning of buying their version with the PE addons after watching this review (not your problem=], just don't like the way how this suit works.)
He himself says, that the Godbomber set is awful, and my personal opinion is that the Takara version is better than the Hasbro one (as it's the case in almost every occassion). So that's why I don't understand, why he keeps the 2 shitty ones as well as the one objectively good.
MrHusang23 as I said, collecting. Collectors often get figures they dont like just becouse its a character they like. And Balt had to review the hasbro and the takara figure so thats why he bought them. And if he bought them he keeps them to display!

The official Takara version is the most show accurate version of God Ginrai. It’s just that it doesn’t make for a good toy.

This really is the best powermaster Optimus. Takara's figure had god awful feet but was pretty decent overall.
