    I like to use double tempo. It's easier to achieve nice groove, especially with ghost kicks.

      I use double tempo the majority of the time as well. Less for the swing though and more for the higher resolution on the sequencer.

      @@aych_el i dont understand the double time all the greats in the golden era never fucked with it and was always in the pocket and knocked

      @@12bitizthewaytogo92 haha. i never did it in the 90s either… but because I was there in the 90s I have tried many new techniques. In the 90s all my samples (except the drums) were phrases. Swing and pushing stuff forward and back was less necessary. Now I chop everything at the level of the note basically and it would be really stiff to just place stuff on the grid. Mostly what Im doing these days is going for a certain rhythmic feel. I’m not someone married to the 90s thing because I have been there and done it.

      @@aych_el word just saying pete nick wiz ski etc shit is rhythmic etc but all good just cracks me up everyone SP user is all abou that im sticking with non of that on mine

      @@12bitizthewaytogo92 yeah its rhythmic because they are sampling phrases and as such are getting the "swing" of the real musicians playing. i dont feel the need to do things like any other beatmaker.
