Damn those last 5 minutes have me crying. Very admirable of DC to see how much he loves his parents. May their souls be together in peace.
Fucking chef cutting onions at the end of the video🤣. Really frigging inspiring man.
Yeah that had me choked up too, strong moment
Same brotha
Me too😂
My parents beat me up and scarred me for life. My dad was just arrested for leaving me bloody now he's facing trial
9 mins in when DC said his biggest fear was seeing his son’s face when he told him he didn’t win the rematch against Jones.. that’s heart breaking. DC, I know you’ll never read this, but I hope you know your son is extremely lucky to have a guy like you for a dad, and you are one of the best and most inspirational fighters of all time. You don’t have to win every fight to be a winner and a champion. You are one of the best! Your son will only ever be proud to call you Dad.
Well said
Amazing how DC became such a legend. Imagine starting your MMA career at an age where some fighters retire, fighting heavyweights when you're as tall as featherweights, then going to 205 so you don't take opportunities from your friend, and becoming a double champ dominating every fighter on your way (who isn't drugged up on juice and coke) until you're in your 40!
Absolutely He is Surely one of the goats
It’s amazing how everyone hated him and now he’s universally loved
Cain would have straight up ended DC in 1 rnd, what are you babbling about “taking opportunities” boy was struggling with Roy Nelson.
@@DADRB0B55 not likely
@@DADRB0B55you are so illiterate.
Did you see what DC did to Josh Barnett?
One of the only men in this world I truly look up to for his work ethic and for his personality.
"Sometimes doing what is expected is the hardest thing to do.." DC , so true .
Who doesn't love this guy,all around great person
His takes are generally trash. But he's mma career was pretty awesome. I always gave him respect for going against jones even though he got smashed.
He talks shit on somebody. For doing the exact same thing he did.
He pokeed stipe in the eye so bad he now wears glasses. That's how
@@PlaT_JacKthank God Jon never eye poked anyone
We love you DC. Legend and you always bring a smile to our faces. Thank you DC.
Love DC! An amazing 2 belt Champion and an even better person. Incredible ambassador for the sport and also coach for the youth. Role Model. Leader.
i hope dc scrolls thru these comments and sees this. and sees the other comments. if dc understood how much hes respected and loved and no matter what jones did fail for performance enhancement drugs. if dc was on the same thing he beats jones . dc is a fkn legend
lol... even if DC was juiced to the gills he isnt beating jon lmfaooooo steroids i love dc but jon is just better
@@alexmarr9283wonder why he needed the roids then ;)
Tbh dc is too small for jones its just too hard for him to reach jon at the first place i mean he stated that himself if he tries to get close jones he gets kneed if he tries to fight from outside he gets kicked imo Dc and Jon from iq and skill level are close but Jones psyhicality is so much supreme compared to dc thats what seperates him from dc
@@alexmarr9283Dc was beating him, so you can’t tell me that he would’ve never beat jones. In a game of inches peds can make all the difference, it allows guys to cut corners.
@@alexmarr9283bro how do u even breath
One of the best to ever do it. No excuses on defeat.
One of the best ever. What a commendable person, what a champion, and what a career. Very little fighters who are respected by the entire mma community like this guy.
I met him once, and he went to shake my hand but he poked my eye out instead.
@@chonqmonkthank God Jon never eye poked anyone
I hate dc was being booed, he didnte deserve that
Got me all worked up talking bout his son, hearing he lost to Jones. You’re a real one bro. Amazing career and life. So much determination and hard work. And talking bout his dad at end, sheesh. So emotional.
His fight against Barnett in Strikeforce is what sold me on him being a future all time great. He literally ran through that whole tournament
Imagine Jones against that DC 😂
How he dropped big foot was insane
Same. Seeing him step up in that tournament and win was amazing. I believed in him 100% since then.
Absolutely, that run was legendary
I first saw him fight Bigfoot and thought "alright this man is a problem." Then I saw him fight Barnett and realized he was gonna be in the UFC fighting for belts. No heavyweight could handle other heavyweights like that.
DC is pure class. Characters like him are what this sport is about - a true warrior, a born leader, a natural role model, and an incredible human. Thank you Daniel Cormier, UFC Double Champ.
Legend of the sport
The man really does have one of the biggest hearts in the world, not just the sport. One of if not the most holsum fighter to have fought in the sport.
these mini series about fighters are truly remarkable work of art
One of my favourite fighters off all time!
My favorite combat sports athlete of all time. Aside from GSP, a greater role model couldn’t be found… His journey, his heart, his downfall his rise he never lost his intensity as a competitor, and remained forever classy. Truly a MMA Icon
Well said! 🎉🎉
A legend in every sense of the word. A TRUE human being inside and outside of the octagon. A rolemodel to the younger generations. A guiding light on how to overcome adversity and still come out the other end a person to be proud of inside and outside of the octagon.
i already loved DC but man.. such an honorable man & champion we got to witness here. what he said he wanted to be remembered for is exactly how i’d always think of DC
Greatest Double Champ imo, despite reach and height disadv. prime dc beats any hw and lhw in the ufc not named jones
He's not a double champion he was a paper champion holding the belt for Jones
@@MeltymortyHow is it his fault that Jones screwed up? He won the belt fair and square
@@jay_1212No he didn't lol he never beat Jones he was a paper champion
@@Meltymortyhe won the vacant belt and then defended it 3 times i dont see a problem, u are just a sad little hater
@@nikolaj97lol guess a hater DC was a paper champion to me
How can you not be a fan of this man?!
Stipe Miocic
Dammit DC. Why u gonna make me cry like that. Ur right though man, if my kids accomplished something even remotely close to something like this, that’s a happiness I don’t think could ever be touched by anything. Legend
I was watching the Adesanya episode and there's no denying his talent. But DC is a legend everywhere, inside and outside the octagon. It takes character to be humble and graceful after accomplishing so much. Thanks for the memories DC!
Hands down my all time favorite athlete, fighter, commentator and human being, Daniel Cormier
The embodiment of what being a champion is. To the man Khabib calls
Captain. Thank you for everything you’ve given us sir and being a champion to truly be proud of.
Dc youre an inspiration and i love you as a fighter and as a human being
Top 5 all time for sure, dm what weight class. This guy was the cream of the crop, congrats on a goated career DC
DC the goat I watched all those events live and I’m not gonna lie I shed a lil tear when he became double champ
His reign will allways be my most emotionally invested time in the ufc so far
DC started his training at 31.
Imagine if he would have started.
He's one of the people that's definitely in the GOAT conversation, love DC❤
@getfitdb You are talking about misguided information and then you give completely misguided information? Wtf. DC never won a fucking Bronze or any medal in the Olympics
@@donnyrockett7490yeah, both of them could’ve at least popped open his wiki for 10 seconds lol.
@@squirtinernie8449 it's like damn lol
Daniel Cormier is my idol 🖤
He inspiring me much 🥋🤼🏋🏾🥊💪🏾
Much luv and respect from Holland
We are also blessed the seamless transition DC made from fighter to commentator
At first I didn’t like dc but I was very wrong now I respect and love him
I wasn't a fan of his attitude at first either but I knew he was one of the greats there was no denying that at all.
I REALLY MISS DC FIGHTING.
Dc is the man! How can you not like this dude! Legend!
When he was in strikeforce I just couldn't wait till the UFC picked him up I knew he was guna be something great. 2 division champ I was correct, just as the first time I watched Jon fight I knew I was watching the start of a great in mma
DC is one of my all time favorites, the admiration i have for him is out of this world
never used to like D.C when he was fighting as such but you have to respect him and i remember seeing him win the heavyweight grand prix strike force as a late replacement fighter then came to ufc great journey D.C!!!!!!!!!!
I met DC once. He was a very nice dude. Cheers to you champ! Miss watching your fights.
One of the most class act in UFC! Congrats on your career DC! I enjoy your commentating as well.
2018 was DC’s year! He successfully defended his Light heavyweight belt against rising contender Volkan in January, coached TUF then DC became champ champ winning the Heavyweight championship at UFC 226, and defended his Heavyweight championship against Derrick Lewis at 230 headlining MSG arena, what a year. Good memories.
What a fighter! What a career! What a role model! DC the Champ!
What a man! DC your a Legend
DC a legend for saying he didn’t care Jones took steroids he still felt he lost. It shows character to be honest. Was happy to see him win both belts at the same time
Always love DC man, and i am happy on where he is on his career now...
dc is one of my favorite fighters oat, i admire the guy even more because of the fact he was always much smaller than his opponents, short dude beating 6'4 killers using his skills
Hard as nails with a gentle loving soul. A true inspiration… these videos are such a great idea. ❤️
The fist bump is such a sign of respect, They hate eachother but they know that both are willling to fight till the death unscared and they both love it, they respect but hate eachother its beautifull
DC is badass. Hella underrated!
Underrated? How and by who?
@@donscrilla7171 Don't get me wrong, they definitely acknowledge it. But He don't get near as props as he should. And there's lots of other fighters who get more hype that haven't done half of what he has let's be real. 🤷♂️
Impossible not to love and respect this guy
This is true......you was always giving your maximum inside the cage and yes Daniel. You are à model for lot of people. ❤👍👍 Respect and thank you from Belgium
What a Gem DC is... not just to the Fight Game, but to the World
All around great MAN DC! An Olympian, Champ, & Father. What more can we ask for!?
DC you are an inspiration and one of the GOAT's of our time. Much respect.
DC is character and self belief personified. Thank you DC!!!
DC was an amazing champion in the octagon.. an even better champion outside of the octagon. Great human being.
Daniel is such inspirational man. Always has admired that man
Great fighter, great Champion, and a great man.
Much respect to daniel, he's been an awesome fighter, he's had an incredible run in the ufc, and definitely is one of the greatest fighters to ever grace the sport, also, he's such a nice human being too.
RIP his dad, i hope you live your life the absolute fullest! And I'm sure your father is in a better place now
I throw around the term certified legend alot, but in this instance, it's 100% true, what this man has brought to the sport in and out of octagon is incredible, not to mention he was never meant to be this person coming off the SF Grand Prix, and is a great ambassador for the sport.
Watching the whole thing no skipping! Great video!
One of the best ever. So smart, so skilled, a legend.
How can you not like the guy !!!
You are Daniel, you are a role model!! And a class act that never cheated!!! 👍
I love DC so much , he is such a wholesome guy. You must be a weird person to hate him
Swear to god at the end I almost shed a tear. To this day still a legend.
DC is a wrestler 100% called the 2 round a period. Love it. DC is a good human being, one of the best
Dc was by far one of the best coaches on the Ultimate Fighter
Man his smile is soo wholesome❤love him…what a man,what a life❤❤
The indisputable legend DC! R E S P E C T!
Love this guy. Pure respect
If you don't absolutely respect and Love DC you just ain't Human. This dude is the definition of Class Act
What an amazing man.
Him and Glover to me are the best role models to what a Great Man truly is!
I'm so glad I watched this, it gave me a whole new respect for DC...incredible show!
You’re already a legend champ ! You’ve done enough for those past few years, much respect forever legend 🫡
Me and all my homies love DC
So much I want to say, but I'll sum it up with, Thank you DC!
The Greatest Light Heavyweight of All Time.♥️💯
I think this was made a while ago cos DC looks noticeably younger, plus he mentions his step father who died in August 2019 but not his mother who passed away in March of 2022
Jones octagon interview after 2nd fight where he gives props to dc after all that beef was one of the most beautiful and emotional moments in the ufc.
Daniel Cormier and GSP are the pinnacle of integrity.
Daym ESPN you been dropping bombs today my friends..thank you for these you are greatly appreciated 👊🏽
DC is just a great all around good person and role model we need more people like him in the world.
Love D.C.!!!
Respect to DC, but brotha you got to show him how great you can be. I lost my father last month and I still wasn't able to show him anything and that is my biggest regret now and forever.
Double champ! DC conducted himself with honour and integrity and took risks other fighters wouldnt dare. He was a real champ and did it without steroids!
Flat out special …. Special, special fighter and a great person.
Daniel’s fights at UFC 220 probably has to be one of my favourite ones he’s had.
Made me tear up goddamn
Finally one worth watching
D.C is a real nice human being
Amongst all UFC fighters I naturally without any prior cognizance feel utmost respect towards DC
Dc is great man father and husband wow!! We love you man!!!
I was never a "fan" of DC, but as a UFC/MMA fan, I am an admirer of all he has achieved, his knowledge and his character 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Can see why he is now on the ufc pay role. Guy is awesome.
What a guy 👏 👏 👏
out of all these fighters getting their flowers DC Is at the very top. What a fuckin great dude.
