What is the name/brand of the pesticide you used at your site please .? And post snail introduction to the greenhouse, are pesticide prohibited or are there other forms of herbal/natural pesticide that can be utilised at the site.? Excellent video again bro.. more grease to your elbow👍🏾
I used Scorpion. It's a systemic insecticide with 20% Dimethoate which has a half life of 2-4 days. Post snail introduction to the greenhouse, its best to avoid using pesticide chemicals because of some snails and eggs that are buried under the soil. If u must then u you have to accept that there will be collateral damage..in that case you can perhaps evacuate as much of the snails as possible to other confined space within the greenhouse (if its compartmentalised) or other greenhouses on your farm. You then apply it and wait for its effect to wear out completely before you reintroduce the snails Alternatively, you can go for biological solution by using the pests natural predators to eradicate them e.g. using a rooster to put caterpillar cutworms in check Its possible some natural herbs can help..perhaps their smell can help deter some of the pests..maybe the smell of garlic..planting garlic around the farm to help deter them perhaps...I'm not sure. Its definitely something to explore. But..yeah
