All these years later, and this video still looks amazing and the song insane.. I remember when this first aired on MTV. I was in the middle of doing my homework lol.
Manson's hair, make-up, nails, outfit and accessories in this video are on point....if I went for the exact same look, I wouldn't look quite as good....and I'm a bloody girl! :-)
I saw him when I was 14 for my first time in 1987, I'm 51 and I will never get over this man. Ever. He is beyond my obsession, he is my perfection. I'm happy to see you feel the same. He IS sex.
When I was a teenager, I loved this video because it's gore and provocative. Now im 31 and I realize the strong message within the song and I can come back and appreciate the whole thing on another level. The song has aged well too, in my opinion.
the whole twins looking at each other is what I just studied in psychology and took a test over. it is supposed to positively influence children or adults to respond in a helpful manor when facing each other. if apart kids aren't as loving. this appears in the perfect drug by NIN. see what you can it's amazing to dissect at any age.
as a teenager who loves Marilyn Manson, I can agree with this statement. As in I love all his stuff, and i really love how disturbing it is, and really hope that one day I can come to understand cause I have no idea what most of his stuff means sadly.
TheDoctor Vanwyngarden Happy to hear teenagers still appreciate the rock 'n roll force that is Marilyn Manson. There is no time more ripe for his influence than adolescence, and no audience more in need of his message. I remember how much he moved and affected me then and I'm glad there are still teenagers open to his work. You don't need to understand it because you probably already feel it.
What interviews are you watching? He comes off as an abusive egomaniac which is exactly what he is. When I was 13 at a show he flashed his balls at me when I turned away he spit on my and threw shit calling me a prude. I'm not a prude I didn't want to see a nasty adults balls and I wasn't impressed. He thinks women are objects and treats them as such
His makeup, nails, hair and outfit are all flawless. Take notes everyone-this is how it's done. He looks so beautiful here, and he complements the entire aesthetic of the video. This is my all time favorite from him.
@@svint910 I just started checking this guy out. This song speaks to me as the matrix(social norms) we all are forced to live in. The matrix being hell. It's a long road cutting through the bullshit to be who you truly are.
The imagery in this video is still fucking incredible! His artistry has always been phenomenal and being probably the most diverse artist in music history. I can’t think of any other artist who’s been able to achieve such musical variety with each album. I just really hated seeing all the past band members leave, but I too have lost friends who were like brothers, and life just fucking sucks that way. But Manson had the best performance I’ve seen, and I would’ve loved to have seen his tour when Golden Age came out, I remember reading articles about it and I’m sure it was incredible. I did get to see him this year when he went to Atlanta, and I can’t wait for his new album next month, and hopefully a huge headline tour next year and back to his performances.
I’ve always struggled with wanting to express myself and dressing how I want/listening to the music I like but with the fear of being judged by others. I love the way he does what he wants and doesn’t give a single fuck about people judging him. He embraces it. He is one of my biggest idols in so many ways.
The school i go to will judge you for the smallest thing. Since I like music they don't allow i just listen to music at home lol. One day I'll be able to listen to music in public without being ridiculed by a teacher

I must agree my visual senses were pleasantly stunned, yet not surprised. This video is as "impeccable" as MM's "Coma White" video. That vid had beautiful cinematography in it as well. This video is so VISUALLY stimulating and CREATIVE. I also can't get over how amazing MM looks! Creepy, Sexy, Cool! He's the entire package! HEY MOM! Meet your new son-in-law! :) Btw, my 74 year old Mom is a big MM fan as well. She wasn't at first, but I eventually converted her. YASS!
I was about 14, when I first heard the song... And watched also the videoclip (which was called one of the most obscene videos back then) - Now I'm almost 30 and I still love it!
I just saw him 3 days ago. He is still amazing. He didn't play this, but he played an amazing set. We are fortunate to have him in our lives. He has helped all of us through alot of things and we should continue to support him in return.
I always found a power within that song to soothe and calm me. Magnificent. I appreciate his brilliance more and more with each year and I'm about to turn 49
Mike Webb - Pisses me off that nobody told me either! God that verse just cuts thru me, but never expected a video like this for a song with those lyrics. I was pleasantly surprised but WOW!

He's not beautiful, he has a "mouth breather" face, he is attractive though, or at least used to be, though not because of his face and lanky body, but despite of it. It's a combo of good makeup, awesome aesthetics, his own charisma and body language and the fact that you love his music and a fan of his work. maybe that last part is what makes you see him as beautiful too.

Manson's hair, make-up, nails, outfit and accessories in this video are on point....if I went for the exact same look, I wouldn't look quite as good....and I'm a bloody girl! :-)
This is the sexiest another human being can be.
Just jaw droppingly hauntingly gorgeous.
I wholeheartedly agree. Beyond sexy!!! 🖤
I saw him when I was 14 for my first time in 1987, I'm 51 and I will never get over this man. Ever. He is beyond my obsession, he is my perfection. I'm happy to see you feel the same. He IS sex.
y daughter was born in 87...lol...I took her to see Manson when she was 16....we love him!!!
We played this on cassette tape constantly in the last year of high school back in 98
MrVidification that’s funny this song didn’t come out until 99
allenbaker82 It was on the Spawn ost that came out in 97...
Your wrong it came out in 1997 as the soundtrack for the movie Spawn .
When I was a teenager, I loved this video because it's gore and provocative. Now im 31 and I realize the strong message within the song and I can come back and appreciate the whole thing on another level. The song has aged well too, in my opinion.
Can definitely relate to that... Amazing as you grow up and re-listen to songs in your younger years, certain things become so crystal clear.
Yes, I'm the same age and feel the same well. Well said.
the whole twins looking at each other is what I just studied in psychology and took a test over. it is supposed to positively influence children or adults to respond in a helpful manor when facing each other. if apart kids aren't as loving. this appears in the perfect drug by NIN. see what you can it's amazing to dissect at any age.
as a teenager who loves Marilyn Manson, I can agree with this statement.
Marilyn Manson always makes me feel better. He will always be my one and only

poetic video.

Same, he's hot
I love the super femme makeup and costume here, it's not typical Manson. I saw this on tv at 8 years old eating my cereal. I fell in love !!!
God I was so lucky to grow up when this kind of shit was booming.
i was a few years too late for the infamous 96 antichrist tour.
Same. My Caribbean parents had no idea what the fuck was going on with me. Lmao.
@@Khymeira Just tell them they are going to be turned into black cats a week from Tuesday. That ought to clear things up! 🤣😹

lucky. i’m 14 and nobody likes this music nowadays
It's beautiful... Just... Beautiful. This man is art in person.
Ah yes, not an artist, but a f*ckin work of art
Art in person. That's the perfect definition.
3:54 love when Manson breaks character laughing. Probably his most underappreciated video.
Paul Aguirre I love this, it’s so wholesome
Never noticed it 😮
And then you watch an interview with manson and realize he is one of the loveliest person on planet Earth💋
This is my all time favorite from him.
amazing art work for a 20 year old song...I cannot believe this song's 20 years old ... dam
Pls stop making me feel old >_
I wanna live, I wanna love but it's a long, hard road out of hell! ---- Does anyone else think that this song is just perfect?
Its the title of his bio
why he want to be in hell??
Mahmoud Dean no He’s saying once you get your self into hell its a long hard road out of it
@@svint910 I just started checking this guy out.
One day I'll be able to listen to music in public without being ridiculed by a teacher
this is so beautiful i miss this era
The 80s model Marilyn Manson.
Almost 10 years later and my grandma still plays this song every time I visit her.
Your gradma is great.
Your grandmother is awesome. Btw I would do so, except at the dinner table 😂
I want to be like her, wait I’m just like her!
I will love you forever Marilyn, you're so special, and you've been a great influence on my life. You have no idea how much my heart hurts, but you make it better, all your songs pretty much are about me. And you're right on, it's amazing. ❤❤❤❤good job love

Am I the only one who watches this and can't believe the production quality of this video... Wow the visual is impeccable who shot this?
according to the Wiki: "The music video for the song was directed by Matthew Rolston, and was filmed at the site of Robert F. Kennedy's assassination, the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles"
YASS!
You never say FOREVER could ever hurt like this!!! 💔
I will forever love this man.
anyone else legitimately love the faces he's making when he screams "long hard road out of hell" the last time?
i don't know...i think i'm just weird :X

Unfortunately, he sucks nowadays.

He still puts out a good song here and there. But yeah it's not like it was in his prime. That's true of every artist tho. I liked his Johnny Cash cover
One of my all-time favorite songs of his and the video is awesome!
How can anyone look this man in the face and question his taste??? He's spectacular
about 12 years ago this song was my hymn, today i came back to it by accident and remember my hardest time in my life where i spammed this song as a hope maker

Need faith to make me numb
Live like a teenage christ

Totally agree. He's so hot

Manson is a musician genius. He is so underrated! He has a very creative art style in his videos that no one seems to do these days if ever. Bands just make video's now with a simple story or just the band playing on stage. Great for bands like Nickleback..lol....but......No one makes music like this!
