Hi, I work for a Romanian charity in Bucharest. We give them 6 weeks to sort themselves out and then we do take the kids away if no changes are made. Very often the families abandon the kids anyway.
Government care is not so great. Lots of abuse, many kids are sex trafficked by corrupt police to western Europe. Not all social workers are like me. In fact, most don't really give a shit

Because they're not concerned with how they'll feed the kids, instead they're thinking of how much the kids will give them. More kids means more little soldiers to send out stealing and begging and bringing money home to them.
