    Also, just so we're on the same page: Your customers are not your enemies. I've had it with sellers who treat their customers with distain and then complain when the customers mirror that contempt back to them. A victim mentality does nothing to support the growth of your business.
    Just because some 'guru' tells you it's ok to be snarky to potential customers, doesn't make it a great way to run a business.

    A mirror in your booth helps alot with sales. I doubled my sales with just having a mirror for customers to check themselves out.

      Yes! Just like anyone purchasing clothes or accessories, customers love to see how the look before purchasing. Thanks for the reminder!

    Awesome that you are able to do what you do despite having health issues like Chronic Fatigue. My health went downhill 11 months ago, i am currently seeking dx' of POTS/ Dysautonomia and Chronic Fatigue, and starting my own crochet business (and a TH-cam channel partially geared to those of us with health issues and limited energy, and partially geared toward crafts as well ;)). it's great to know there are others managing a craft business while dealing with health issues like mine.

    About energy levels: I can massive ADHD and depression, I spend most of my time in a brain fog and low energy. I have a medication, that could help me have a clear mind and energy, but I could use it at most twice a week. Good news for me is that crochet is only thing I can do during the brain fog, and now when I am planning my crochet business, I plan to spend this days crocheting and clear days doing business staff. So there are two of me, and businessperson me is hiring and taking care of crafter me.

    Good advise ! Lots of things to think about for a craft fair ...so I think as much as we want to jump into 1 right away, we should allow 4-5 weeks to prep if not done in the past ....For my first Craft show in April , I printed a bunch of Price tags at home 🏠, then cut them And added to my products ... You can make your own design ! Also my husband helped me print logo to glue to my paper bags lol , and washing instructions. Def need help from the fam ☺️... Good luck everyone . I love watching your videos lady 😍🧶.

    I haven't tried it as I had a friend that did this and she flipped badly so it pulled me away. I still want to do this as I crochet a lot. Just need some easy quick and sellers in our areas

    When do you think people should start doing crafts fairs? I just started crocheting, how long do you think it would take for me to be ready for craft fairs.

      I think you should get some light and dark colored yarn. Because I can tell that some people would probably buy something from you. Never give up and keep it up 😎

    Can anyone let me know do I need to get a sellers permit to sell at craft fairs? I’m very new to all of this my first one is in November and I want to make sure I do it all correct and don’t run into troubles, I’m in California if that makes a difference, thank you for any information provided 😀

    • @chismalu
      @chismalu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi ! I'm in California as well Ana I reached out to the city hall in my city , was told to contact the City Manager to understand my business and what I need , what will work for you . Sellers permit vs business license ... Call them 🤗. I will too!

    Do Crochet Wash Clothes sell well? I am going to do sets of 3 for $10 with a ribbon tie.

    • @thecrochetpreneur
      @thecrochetpreneur  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't sell wash clothes, but I know that several sellers do. So, I assume they sell well. However, at 3 for $10, I can't imagine you're able to pay yourself a proper wage and make a profit. I'd suggest running yor products through my pricing strategy. You can learn more at crochetpreneur.com/a-crochet-pricing-strategy

    What is a good price to put on my crochet blankets?

    • @thecrochetpreneur
      @thecrochetpreneur  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Check out my post at crochetpreneur.com/a-crochet-pricing-strategy - it addresses this issue. In short, you should charge what you need to charge to make all that work worth is, make it pay for your supplies, and give you some profit to both pay yourself and reinvest in your business. I have a free pricing calculator that you can find at montygal.activehosted.com/f/117

    You have to be careful with high school craft fairs. Best to attend one first. I did not not do that for one I did try to sell at, the customer attendance was poor I was mixed in mostly with the MLM sellers. The school wanted a donation item worth at least $50 for their raffle table which was in addition to the space fee. It was a big waste of my day, time, energy. Don't be me, be better prepared.

    Do you include sales tax in your prices when at a fair? I don't like the idea of dealing with lots of change for cash buyers

    • @thecrochetpreneur
      @thecrochetpreneur  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm in Colorado where it's illegal to add the sales tax to the price of the item. So, there's no real option to do that. This is why I prefer to accept credit card payments.

    How do you kindly stop people from trying on the beanies/hats in fear of spreading lice???

    • @jasminflower3814
      @jasminflower3814 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You could spray lice insecticide or eucalyptus spray etc inside of each beanie before you go to the fair. It's up to people if they want to risk getting lice or not.
