  • The followup to Twelve Rainbow Trout is over 2 hours long and it's interactive! You're already a part of it, whether you know it or not.
    **NOTE: THERE ARE SOME MISTAKES/DISCREPENCIES IN HERE. THE JUDY GARLAND STATUE THING WAS AN ONION ARTICLE, BUT THE UNDERLYING POINT IS STILL TRUE... Mea Culpa.*
    This livestream managed to accomplish more than I thought would be capable, and the Dr. Amp style presentation has been incredibly well received by a certain subset of Twin Peaks fans--Just read the comments!
    This has given me a direction to tie the remaining threads together and begin work on Part 3 of 3--working title "Firewalk with me." This will be a pre-edited piece, not a live stream--but the style will be a kind of hybrid of the two existing pieces. Depending on where my life goes, I may go back and revise this into a more compact piece or series of pieces.
    For those who make it to the end, I wanted to let you know that I do presently (10/2/19) have a lead on a place to live that I'm incredibly excited about, but it's not set in stone at all, so if you have any other leads, feel free to contact me at [the reality war (atsign) g mail].
    Thank you so much for the incredible support so far, it has been truly humbling, and I'm excited to wrap up this trilogy.

    Felt I needed to share this story with you: a couple weeks ago I came across the 12 rainbow trout video linked on reddit, loved it and then watched this video in its entirety. I felt completely immersed back into the twin peaks world, in a brand new way. Later that week I needed to make a 5 hour round trip to pick up a new puppy all by myself, as my husband had to unexpectedly leave town. I downloaded 5+ hours of other twin peaks podcasts for my trip. After I got back home, I felt completely fried and overwhelmed and wanted something kind of mind numbing on the TV, so I turned on Live PD. Not 5 minutes after I turned it on, I get up to do something, and run back to the TV when I hear them say the name of a wanted suspect: "Laura Ann Palmer", allegedly she's done some real awful, weird shit (there's a clip of the segment on youtube). I immediately thought about the Odessa Twin Peaks restaurant shooting as mentioned in this video, and felt deeply that there was something to all of this. Thank you.

    ‘It’s only the Red King snoring,’ said Tweedledee.
    ‘Come and look at him!’ the brothers cried, and they
    each took one of Alice’s hands, and led her up to where the
    King was sleeping. ‘He’s dreaming now,’ said Tweedledee: ‘and what do you think he’s dreaming about?’ Alice said ‘Nobody can guess that.’ ‘Why, about you!’ Tweedledee exclaimed, clapping
    his hands triumphantly. ‘And if he left off dreaming about you, where do you suppose you’d be?’
    ‘Where I am now, of course,’ said Alice. ‘Not you!’ Tweedledee retorted contemptuously. ‘You’d be nowhere. Why, you’re only a sort of thing in his dream!’ ‘If that there King was to wake,’ added Tweedledum,
    ‘you’d go out- bang!- just like a candle!’

    I've been so excited for this to come out. Writing this as I'm watching it, but I am loving what you've talked about so far. Just blew my mind at 1:57:33 with your explanation of the glass box and Mr. C's plans in relation to the collapse of the wave function and the nature of the observer. It lines up so well, even with Cooper acting as a wave and traveling through "both slits", i.e. multiple realities. I also love the ideas about how many of the female characters are alters or parts of Carrie's/the dreamer('s/s') mind(s). I can't wait to rewatch the show with this new level of insight. Finishing my comment now that the video is over: thank you so much for making this. It was really lovely to hear your thoughts and experiences about and in relation to Twin Peaks. Also, thank you for sharing about your trauma and relationship to ptsd. Twin Peaks feels more connected to trauma and ptsd than any other piece of media I've experienced, and that relatability is a huge part of why I love it so much. I really hope you're able to get away from there as soon as possible. If I weren't on the edge of homelessness myself, I would offer you a place here. That said, Western Massachusetts is a pretty decent and accepting place to be. Not too dissimilar to the Pacific Northwest aesthetically either. Your views, revelations, and syntheses are brilliant and important, and I really hope you can find the people who will understand and support that. I look forward to seeing whatever it is you create next.

    1:58:16 it's also possible that Sarah Palmer knew something was terribly wrong (see her behavior towards the two in FWWM) but she decided not to recognize it. Leland gave her the drugged milk to take so she wouldn't be conscious of him raping Laura. She chose to take it - she chose to not pay attention until it was too late. To a certain degree, that's true for the whole town. They knew something was wrong with Laura, but they didn't do enough to stop it. As Bobby Briggs said, "We all did [killed Laura]."

    "Perhaps representative of a “higher self,” some Lynch films include a sort of “designated mourner” character who observes the crimes and tragedies of the central character’s life and then grants a sort of absolution, imparting consolation and forgiveness. Fire Walk with Me has an episode like this between the Log Lady and Laura, just before Laura goes one night to engage in prostitution, but the film also ends with a scene in which Laura, dead now, meets an angel while she is with Agent Cooper in the Red Room. While there is no mourner in Mulholland Dr., the film does end with a moment of grace, when Betty and Rita are pictured together in a final, eternal moment of joy. Lost Highway, however, is notable for its lack of any mourner or absolution; one comes away from this film with the sense that Fred, for his crime, is thoroughly and irredeemably damned".

    Carrie is a female given name in English speaking countries, usually a pet form of Caroline. Caroline is a given name for women. It is derived from the male given name Karl (Charles). After Charlemagne, the name Charles (Karol) became even the standard word for "king" in Slavic (Czech and Slovak král, Polish król; South Slavic kral крал, krȃlj краљ; Russian король).

    Speaking about synchronicity, I saw season 3 episode 8 streamed on demand, and right after it finished I shut the smart TV app down to watch some regular TV to calm my very blown mind. What channel was on? One of those odd low budget cable channels with uncelebrated late night documentaries. What was the first scene that immediately hit my unsuspecting eyes? The fricking trinity test, the same exact but real world film reel episode 8 recreated. Completely uncommented for its duration. Like you gotta understand, right after the episode credits, I switch to cable mode, BOOM the bomb goes off. And after the trinity scene, over film clips of random industrial scenes of machines with a strange sort of mauve filter the narrator talked in detail about chaos theory. Every now and then the film clips glitched to envoke chaos theory and the look of it was in perfect synchronicity with episode 8's art house moments. I wish I had memorized what it was called and who made it, maybe there aren't too many experimental documentaries about chaos theory. It was one of the weirdest synchroniticities I've experienced and right ontop of episode 8 no less.

      That's crazy, and I know exactly what you mean. I experiences shit like that all the time. Not just just twin peaks related, but every aspect of life. I'll get in the car while a random song is stuck in my head, turn the car on and that song is playing. Or watching a movie that has an actor in a small role, then watch another movie in a completely different genre and that same actors in it, and both movies featured the same song that was prominently used in both of them. Or you're going through a breakup and you're thinking of your ex and your mutual favorite song starts playing on the radio or tv or wherever, and you think to yourself "fuck you radio/universe" lol.
      So so many of those happen to me and have for as long as I can remember. I love it.

      this video has, at times, some of the most interesting catches in all the fandom's "analytical" efforts.
      I doubt Lynch intentionally includes everything we see in it, too. Some is oh-so subjective, and yet so (little or) much _overlaps_ to some extent between Lynch and you and me...which is pretty f*cking cool, frankly.

    There's some great stuff in this but dude, you need some help. I know this was filmed a while ago and maybe you're doing better now, but it's clear that you're hurting here and you don't have the support you need. It sounds like the therapist you had at the time was not a good fit for you, but that doesn't mean therapy can't help you. It seems like making this video was a form of therapy for you and an outlet where you could freely express yourself, which is exactly what a good therapist would provide for you on a long term basis. You even point out that you need personal connections and to express your ideas to other people.
    You're obviously an incredibly intelligent person with a lot of creative potential, I just hope that you're able to get the support you need to reach your full potential.

    A pawn that advances all the way to the opposite side of the board (the opposing player's first rank) is promoted to another piece of that player's choice: a queen, rook, bishop, or knight of the same color. Since it is uncommon for a piece other than a queen to be chosen, promotion is often called "queening".

      After reading everyone's comments, my instinct is to do a part 3 'between two worlds' -- a pre edited direct-to-camera that sums up the material here, and talks about a few things I never got to. In a way, the first 2 create a funnel for me to have the nerve to make the conclusions I'm almost to afraid to say.. Then see what happens from there. I realize I'll probably only get a few hundred viewers to the end, but I think that's kind of the point--I am subconsciously seeking/qualifying those who can 'see this thing through to the end.' Something like that..

    What is this video about? Is it about Twin Peaks or is it about you? I know this is a rough draft, but I think you may want to consider leaving a lot of the content about how the show is speaking directly to you out of your final draft. That would make for a cool alternate video where you could really drill down into your own experiences.

    • @CoryTV
      @CoryTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a good question, thank you for asking it. I'm not sure if you made it all the way to the end, but I think that should be a bit more clear. I think there's an approach where it's fair to do this, and if you do make it to the end, it should become clear why I'm still not completely sure how to weave it perfectly.
      I do think there's a reason for this, and to be super meta, starting (this) conversation is way more important than view count. It's a show that's far more meta than people realize, and presenting my "character" as a viewer, and showing its relationship to me (and all of the related weirdness) *IS* part of what I'm trying to communicate.
      I long ago knew that doing this would cost me views/likes, and doing it this way (overlong, interactive) was kind of designed to weed out the people who would reject this outright.
      Did you watch it all the way through before asking this, or is this a response to the beginning? I think if you make it most of the way to the end and understand the stuff in context it makes more sense. Obviously any final version would not have this stuff in the end, and selectively incorporate it.
      I don't monetize, I have no intention of making these types of videos long term, and in a way hearing the stuff towards the end is sort of what I'm asking for as 'payment' if you will..
      At the end of the day, I'm not looking for a big number of viewers, I'm looking for *the right one*.. There's stuff I"m still holding back, and stuff that I think some people can read between the lines that others can't see at all.. And I'm looking to see if anybody can "hear" me..
      Thanks for watching and beta testing... and please let me know how much of it you saw.. :)

      @@CoryTV I watched the whole thing and wrote this comment at the end. Also, I know what it's like to face bizarre amounts of synchronicity, both surrounding this show and in general. I liked hearing your stories about it, I just think from an editorial standpoint that it would be better to separate your analysis of the show from your personal attachment and synchronicity story, and to make separate content that deals with that in greater focus. Watching this go from beginning to end I saw it start with great analysis of Twin Peaks, really opening my eyes to ideas I'd never considered, and then slowly it became more focused on your personal experience, until the end where you came off like a character from a 70s conspiracy movie, ranting wide-eyed about all the connections that nobody else can see. I'm not judging, it was very interesting to listen to and I have a lot of sympathy for your situation. I'm only adding my comment as an observation and possible advice to help your overall message get delivered. But obviously you should do what you think is best. Thanks for the video, I'm watching it again now.

The story of a girl that lived in last house ended, tulpa returned to seed, what is left is just white emptiness and trapped Consciousness. This is so batshit that I'm having a hard time forming the words necessary to elaborate on specifically how batshit it actually is. I'm only about an hour deep, but I will watch this in its entirety if for no other reason than to witness this man's sanity unravel. It's amazing that Twin Peaks can be so densely packed with goodness that even these irrational leaps can be taken, but good god. I find it unlikely that David Lynch was even aware of the shitty B-Movies being referenced in some of the earlier parts of this video, but beyond that the connective elements like "maybe this shirt looks like this ball" are generally pretty laughable. I mean, the very concept that "actually Audrey is the protagonist" seems so arbitrary that he could have picked any of the show's main cast and would have found insane tangential "evidence" to construct a unifying theory around. I do think the broad strokes of this concept, namely that Twin Peaks is a dream concocted as a deflection from abuse (notably through TV and Movies, something that also occurs in Inland Empire), are very interesting and might hold some water. But this guy lost pretty much all credibility with me when he referenced the statue of Mayer and Judy Garland, which didn't exist outside of an Onion article. However, I will continue watching whatever Twin Peaks content SC makes because it makes me happy, and what better reason is there?

    • @CoryTV
      @CoryTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you for your reply, especially for noticing the bit about the statue. Was it really 'The Onion?' There's more than one reason I did this as a rough draft--it's so much to lay out together, I was expecting that I'd missed some obvious things, though I wouldn't have thought this would have been one of them.. haha.. Anyway, I think you missed the forest for the trees there, through.. The point about the relationship is still completely relevant, and using that mistake to discredit anything else is a bit weak. (other than my attention to detail in general, I suppose) How about this Washington Post article? www.washingtonpost.com/news/retropolis/wp/2017/11/14/ill-ruin-you-judy-garland-on-being-groped-and-harassed-by-powerful-hollywood-men/
      You're just wrong about the B movies, though. It's far too overwhelming on several accounts, and you stopped after a half hour--and maybe you didn't get how it all fits together, but the point is, it was ALWAYS a dreamer watching "real" tv and movies to concoct Twin Peaks in their head. I have no idea of your age or location, but if you understand the importance of St. Elsewhere and the timing, this also fits really well into these ideas.
      But the idea that I lost all credibility because of the statue is pretty ridiculous, considering that the underlying relationship and therefore my point hasn't changed at all. Thanks for the catch though. You didn't even get to the really controversial stuff.

      @patrickbraley1843 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@CoryTV Oh I watched the whole thing, and I was being hyperbolic that the statue comment was what lost you credibility. Truly, that was all of the strange tangential shit, like the ball in Carrie's room being somehow reminiscent of a sweater that Billy Zane wore in some random movie. Or that any of the internal logic in TP is at all related to the Billy Zane ouvre. The connections you're trying to draw are, for lack of a better word, schizophrenic in their logic. This is where, in another forum, someone would post the picture of Charlie Day pointing to his insane Pepe Silvia corkboard, because those and similar points throughout the video are just plain bonkers. Which is honestly too bad, because I think the stuff about the layers of dreamers and the importance of Elvis' first instance of dominating the airwaves are super interesting, even if I don't at all agree with those takes. (I mean, the bomb is pretty obviously a new evil coming into the world, but I think logic suggests that evil is nuclear warfare and not rock and roll.) But you seem to have some compulsion to tie it all together with threads that pretty obviously don't have anything to do with Twin Peaks. The ideas that you're calling "controversial" only are so because they're built on the flimsiest of foundations, strings stretching so far and so thin that even more mundane theories would fall apart under scrutiny. That said, I thoroughly enjoy you and these videos, and by no means do I want to discourage you from continuing to make them. I just don't agree with your theory, which is perfectly fine. Your introductory Red Room graphic, by the way, is fucking awesome.

      Having now also checked out your previous video, I do hope you're seeing a therapist of some kind. As interesting as a lot of the theories in this video are, what bogs it all down is the schizophrenic threads throughout that hint at some greater "synchronicity," which seems to be something that extends far beyond your pet theories about great TV shows and into your actual life. In fact, it sounds pretty specifically like a friend of mine who went through a bit of a mental break, stopped sleeping for several days and nearly assaulted a group of people in a club because of his subsequent delusions (an event which played out VERY differently from his perspective at the time). Granted, I'm just a random commenter, so I have no real insight, but that's what it looks like from where I'm sitting. Like I said before, I hope you complete these videos, because even when I patently disagree with your ideas I find them fascinating, but please don't do so to the detriment of your own mental health. Get some rest, center yourself with nature, be well!

      Yes, that work in particular is very 'synchronistic' for me. Especially the TV adaptation... (I read the book when it came out) I think SK's meditation on his own works, and Lynch's continuing meta themes are both reflections of 'something greater' in the collective unconscious..and I feel like 'all this is leading somewhere...' I‘m not finished with the video yet (I’m about 1h in) but I have to state something: this video perfectly shows how conspiracy theorys are construed and why they are so compelling.
    1. He looks at cues which support his view point and of course if you want to see connections, you will see them. This is how the human mind works. The brain always looks for patterns and connections to make sense of the world.
    2. He never tries to FALSIFY his theory. This is very important. If you have a thesis you should also ask questions why it might be not true. There sure are arguments against the Audrey theory. (Or the whole Billy Zane thing..)
    And this is part 3, why conspiracy theorys are so compelling: because there‘s no doubt, no clues against the theory, everything seems to be true and seems to be so perfectly true and enlightning. You feel enlightened and it hightens your sense of reality, so to speak:
    You feel like knowing something nobody else knows.
    But of course this is just about Twin Peaks and this is not an attack to this channel. But an observation, because I had this sense of listening to a perfect conspiracy theory 😅 It is compelling.

      If you look closely, I use a shot from Arrival at the end in my first video. :) It's very much a part of what's going on, IMO. I talked a lot about the many, MANY synchronicities that this twin peaks path has taken me down. Immediately after watching that movie in September of 2016, I sat down in my car and pulled up the clip from FWWM where Jeffries appears and Cooper sees an image of himself, because I saw the connection to Twin Peaks before the return even aired. I started the video on youtube, which started with the line "Gordon, It's 10:10 AM on February 16th." I looked up at the clock in my car and it was 10:10 pm. I actually felt the pull of synchronicity drawing me in before the Return even aired...there's so many of these little things.. Thanks for all your comments.

    If you want to get off of your Meds, if you want to provide your mind what it needs to heal its self, and if you want to be able to shut down your sympathetic (fight or flight) nervous system, reducing panic and stress, I highly recommend going on a strictly Ketogenic Diet. It will take some time, depending upon the severity of the damage that your body needs to repair, but you will be amazed at the clarity and calmness it produces within your mind. Some people experience a lack of energy and flue like symptoms the first 2 days to a week when they start, as your mitochondria need to retrain themselves to efficiently burn fat as fuel rather than sugar, but if you can ride that out if it happens, the results will be worth it. Once you have been on it for at least a month, you can start intermittent fasting, while sustaining your energy and not feeling hungry, in order to more rapidly heal. Here is the source that got me started, and I have been on it for over a year now: drberg.com/the-healthy-keto-diet-for-beginners

    • @CoryTV
      @CoryTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually, this is a good suggestion for multiple reasons in my life at this moment. I find it interesting that the diet is/was primarily used to treat epilepsy, and the main drug that I'm on is primarily used as an epilepsy drug. Clearly, they pull on the same strings in the brain. I've also been worried I might have prediabetes, (I really should go to the doctor...) But the flashing numbness throughout the extremeties is a symptom both in that and a few other neurological conditions that also have those symptoms... When you put sugar in water it prevents the conducting of electricity, and carbs are basically sugars.. It seems so simple and obvious when you think about it..

    Thank you for doing this video. As someone who is just coming to terms with the abuse that I experienced as a small child, this video resonated very strongly with me. I discovered Twin Peaks rather late in my life but I really felt a deep connection to the character of Laura Palmer in a many number of ways besides the abuse that happened to me. I haven't really thought about Twin Peaks since the end of the return but stumbled across this and your previous video on Twin Peaks. I've been going through my own metanoia and have had odd synchronistic experiences for about a decade now. I even had one while watching this video. Just before watching this, which I had bookmarked for a few days now, I randomly searched Satanic holidays only to have my eye drawn to Walpurgisnacht. When you started talking about it, I literally said WTF. Sometimes synchronicities can catch me off guard and make me do a "spit-take".
    I personally believe that we live in a world run by psychopaths. Most secret societies are, in my opinion, a way of finding and recruiting other psychopaths who are willing to try and shape reality as they see fit. They use occult knowledge to control the masses, and have been for millennia. They want to be gods on earth and, in a way, have been succeeding in manipulating our reality as they see fit. With the advent of quantum computing, machine learning, and total surveillance, it has become a very frightening time to be alive.
    With that said, I hope you find some peace in this life. I think that may the point of it all. Take the trauma, understand it, and then heal it. It's definitely easier said than done but maybe there is something/someone trying to help us. Maybe just maybe, PKD was onto something when he wrote Ubik.

      I know right? I have a couple instances in my life where I've passed by celebrities, and knowing a few people who have been kinda-sorta famous, I don't think I've ever approached. A long time ago, I walked past Alec Baldwin as he was coming out of Central Park after jogging, drenched with sweat. He made eye contact, and I could just see the "please don't recognize me/say anything" all over his face, and I didn't say anything. In retrospect, there was a single sentence I could have said that would have been awesome for so many reasons, but I was just a couple of beats too late.. I suppose it's good to know ahead of time what you'd say. My general thought is that if I run into somebody in that situation I really admired, I'd pretty much say "I love your work" or something and keep going. I've met a few 'famous-ish' people in context, and most of the time, I think what they want more than anything is to talk like normal people about normal stuff, not about themselves/their work. Although I wonder if I met Madchen Amick in real life if I'd be able to stop myself from proposing marriage. I'm pretty sure Shelly the waitress was my first love.

    I tried to keep a clean house. The Catholic Church holds that "all who die in God's grace and friendship but still imperfectly purified" undergo the process of purification which the Church calls purgatory, "so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven". It has formulated this doctrine by reference to biblical verses that speak of purifying fire (1 Corinthians 3:15 and 1 Peter 1:7) and to the mention by Jesus of forgiveness in the age to come (Matthew 12:32). According to Jacques Le Goff, the conception of purgatory as a physical place came into existence in Western Europe towards the end of the twelfth century. According to him, the conception involves the idea of a purgatorial fire, which he suggests "is expiatory and purifying not punitive like hell fire".

    This has been one of the best analyses of Twin Peaks, impressively in dept. It's a niche series already and it puzzles you after watching it for a very long time. You can barely find a good trailer that even conveys the feeling/story without spoiling it (but then again www.cnet.com/news/twin-peaks-david-lynch-showtime-return-trailer-teaser/ ). And so it's very difficult to find anything good related on Twin Peaks to read about next to reddit and some essays made available.
    I'm writing this while i'm watching and i have to say, i was really waiting for this follow up video. But i was expecting a lot more on the twelve rainbow trout, i never expected all this weird meta coincidence with other movies of the actors carreers from Twin Peaks. But then you just lift off and reference so much stuff that i started getting a bit confused, and i was only 1 hour in. But that just proofs how many layers of analyses Twin Peaks as a show has. Besides the story itself (which is a whole rabbit hole on it's own) there is also the inspiration and the synchronicity you just revealed for me. Again not all of them, but some of these coincidences are too precise and surely have a link. I'm sure you have something incredible here but you need to edit this together, but after watching this for 1 hour now i can really see how difficult a video like this wil be to edit and make. I will continue to watch (and probably comment) at a later point because i want to give this my full focus and attention while watching it.

    Hi! THANK YOU so much! I ve seen the whole video and its fascinating. You ve done an AMAZING job. Im an artist and i feel true art, somehow works in the same way as religion or magic. True art make you question or understand yourself and the world. Thats what something like Twin Peaks (and other Lynch movies) does (All of them are related too. Its easy to see connections to Twin Peaks in Mulholland Drive or Inland Empire) . True art~religion~magic makes you THINK and "flow as a wave" and understand the world as something bigger than us. Thats why people ruling the world dont like true art. They want you to see the world as something plane, 2d. Just good or bad. Back to Twin Peaks, thanks again. So do you think that the year is sometime in the later 80s since Carrie presumably was watching these films?

    • @CoryTV
      @CoryTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      100% one of the main meanings. The difference between our world (when we're watching TP) and the cycle the dreamer is stuck in. If you think about Carrie & Cooper's reaction as more or less being exactly the same moment as Audrey waking up in the white space.. And add in the whole self-aware theme with the "actors" after bob is destroyed.
      The idea is that there's many alternate timelines within the "tv show" of twin peaks but all these realities are involved in the gestalt of the whole thing.. They day you're viewing it, when it was filmed, when it aired, when it was imagined in Lynch's mind, and wherever the dreamer is.. all of it is basically the implication of that moment.. 'We are like the dreamer who dreams and then lives inside the dream.'
      It's a paradox.. Leo is wearing the same outfit in his first appearance in the pilot as the dead guy is at Carrie's house--and of course he's shot in 1989 right after those movies, but Carrie's modern day reality in Odessa also reflects that moment.. This dissonance is THE main answer to 'What year is this' (thinking about Cooper as the part of the mind that is trying to 'wake up' the dreamer)

    the one thing missing that i would love to see you partake of is the very thing that mr lynch has found to center his life, his creative force now in perfect harmony with his traditionalist upbringing and lasting worldview. Transcendental meditation. This chaos continues to reveal itself until you realize its gestation is at your very center. Taking that into account and acting on that, thats all you can do...not weinstein, not epstein, not laura, not cooper, bob or judy...YOU. Thats your life project, fix within and the outside comes into alignment. Transcendental meditation. Not religion, not politics, two apparent familial influences of your upbringing but a far more intuitive process. And youre this close to seeing it through. And then all this pain and struggle truly pays in dividends.

    • @CoryTV
      @CoryTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. I understand what you are saying and largely agree. That said, there is an issue with breaking through that takes a kind of agressive, revolutionary push that is born out of pain and angst. I am not choosing it per se as it is very difficult to achieve that sort of balance being as alone as I have been. I have been pushing/working towards this exact moment, believe it or not. I think there are many problems plaguing our species that are accidentally conspiring to keep us in a particular kind of hell, and I think there is an attitude of "this is all on you individually to use meditation/practices etc to balance yourself out" when actually a kind of focused "attack" is necessary to combat other aggressive forces. Too many people avoid a kind of responsibility by 'staying home and meditating,' while pushing out the difficult things that must be addressed for their own self-preservation. This is a hard line for me to express, but let's just say you've caught me at a particularly interesting moment of transition. I've known for quite some time that once I found a certain kind of reassurance that I wasn't so alone, I'd be able to move towards that kind of world. Some of us were born upside down, so to speak, and it's hard to relate the complexity of the situation for someone like me. Stay tuned. I just found out that people can finally hear me. That in itself is helping me relax and focus.

The fact that I did not reply to your response means I feel like the video itself spoke for itself as far as the correlations I drew. What you think beyond that is up to you. You are very far off several wavelengths that I am on, as are quite a few people with whom I've responded. There's a level of the show that you don't appear to even see. I don't judge you for that, but I just don't think we're close enough to the same 'reality' if you will to find much of a useful exchange. You see the show (and life it seems) very literally. I definitely understand that reference. ;) Me too. Pi is another reflection of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest & things like The Shining. There really is a kind of 'algorithm' to life that suddenly starts creating these kinds of synchronicities once viewed, and it can make a person go crazy. There's lots of stories that people have written over many years that illustrate their interactions in that "place." The weird thing is that I think the meta understanding of this is kind of breaking through right now. A kind of collective long dark night of the soul is happening in this particular "awakening." It's definitely at times like staring directly at the sun, and while I feel like I found a way not to fall in, I am (obviously) still trying to find a way to exist in this world having seen what I have. You can't unsee these things.. That whole thing about the medication and then the end of Pi as an attempt to unsee it... The struggle is real, you know? I'm pretty sure those who find a way to master it go on to rule the world and what not, they just don't talk about it...in the normal way, anyway... ^

The societal disassociation of which you speak is very real and it is indeed bringing on an apocalyptic air to our day to day lives, perpetuating us to disassociate further. Moira Kelly said “if I weren’t an actress, I had planned to become a nun.” She co stars in The Cutting Edge as Kate with a man named DOUG where a key phrase/tag line is “TOE PICK!” (Referencing the jagged tip of a figure skate that acts as a ‘brake’) We have Moira Kelly shouting “TOE PICK!” Which has always reminded me of Twin Peak or Topeka (Kansas/Oz/Dorothy/JUDY GARLAND). Doug is played by DB Sweeney of the alien/UFO “true story” FIRE in the Sky. KATE (Moira Kelly) Moseley’s father is played by none other than Terry O’Quinn (LOCKE on LOST). His full name? JACK MOSELEY!
    So we have--- Doug. Fire. ToePick. Moira Kelly as KATE & JACK, her dad, played by Locke from Lost (where another Kate and Jack are a pair). The name Jack has many Peaksian meanings (One Eyed Jacks, and Jack the mechanic for Mr C) AND the “Oedipal”/sexually traumatic father/daughter reference occurs (like Laura/Leland) if we cross the Peaks/CuttingEdge worlds and shine the light on the fact that their future name sakes - Jack and Kate - end up trapped on an island and even in another dimension arguably, as lovers. (In link at bottom of this comment it says fans call Kate and Jack a nickname: JATE but others call them..? SKATE!) Jack and Kate as a name duo have film/reality crossover connection as Jack Dawson played by LEO DiCaprio falls in love with ROSE (played by KATE Winslett) in Titanic where KATEs character chooses JACK over who? Cal HOCKLEY (which looks like HOCKEY, DB SWEENEY I’m Cutting Edge is a HOCKEY player) and so look at us! We have now returned full circle to BILLY FUCKIN ZANE.
    JATE/SKATE- lostpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Jate
    *Moira Kelly’s mom is ANNE and it was during a production of ANNIE that Kelly says she decided to act and not enter a convent.
    *the day I observed these links, yesterday, was DB SWEENEY’s Birthday (11/14/61) . He was also in FIRE WITH FIRE (86) about a girl who runs away from the NUNS at a Catholic boarding school. I love the insanity of this level of synchronicity--It's like both the signal and the noise full blast. Fun fact, if you go back on my instagram @corytv, there's lots of fun stuff, but WAY back in maybe my facebook page, there's a picture of a guy who looked just like John Locke across from LOST I took on the downlo while he was on the phone and I posted "Heh, I'm on the way to LA with a guy who looks just like John Locke" Turns out Terry O'Quinn lives in my area, and I actually was on the next leg to LA with him as well. There's a lot of stuff in there that has a kind of shape to it, and some that people would dismiss as 'normal' coincidence. Knowing where to draw the line is always a challenge...
      But the riffing on Twin Peaks connections is multidimensional--only certain people 'play' this game, because only certain people 'get' it.

I have so many sync chains, or threads as me and a friend call them (we are the Thread Pullers, we call ourselves jokingly for fun) I am currently on a “thread” of sync-riddling where Names/People=places. Like literally. People having a name of a town. Or a general place. Like Church or Lake or Rivers. Or Everett. It’s too long to explain here (as u know, explaining these ideas can be so complex that it’s like Ok fuck it - for now- if you don’t have the energy to like, go through it step by step- but I’ll get there and share it with you for what it’s worth, see what you think of it. "masculine" and "feminine" are another social construct - a created reality, which differs by culture. pointing this out because it's referenced by Lynch at least once, "fix your heart or die." meaning, the definition you may leap to for this duality is not gendered at all, any more than any other religious or cultural metaphor for the duality. "good" and "evil" are similar.
    we can't use these as a basis to begin with, but culture (Western culture during that era when Elvis and nukes were new) not only treats them as real but attempts to reinforce them as real, in an unarguable paradigm.
    I just found this video tonight, rambling and wonderful. a lot of great comments from pagan folks in here as well. thanks also for naming the problem; the abuse and violence of the powerful against the weak or those perceived as weaker.

      I mean that metaphorically, of course. They're above the convenience store. They're not people you can reach right now. Someday maybe, but not right now. All you can do is be kind, give the bad ideas no ground and no quarter, and wait.

      Masculine and feminine are part of eternal nature. They are duality -- the same in every other animal species, or light/dark; hello/goodbye; good/evil. You can't have one without the other - 'cause then you'd have no new children! No existence.
      Denise in Twin Peaks has Gender Disphoria. A codition that affects less than 0.2% of people. It's very rare, really.

  • @Neptunequeen42
    @Neptunequeen42 5 ปีที่แล้ว +17

    a few thoughts:
    I really respect you acknowledging the theme of violence against women directly as opposed to just vaguely calling it 'abuse' or 'good vs evil'. A lot of other theorists seem pretty allergic to calling it what it is.
    Also, not to fuel the rabbit hole of physics based interpretation, but you should look into Minkowski spacetime diagrams. It starts to sound very Lynchian when you're talking about Worldlines and The Absolute Nothing.
    I'd like to give some input on the esoteric themes as an irl occultist/magician. First off, I have friends in the freemasons and OTO and they think it's a complete meme. Those organizations are old horny men who do nothing and frustrated women who just want to make connections to non-horny occultists. They're glorified country clubs and always have been from the inception of the Golden Dawn - hell some aren't even that prestigious. OTO is known for being full of meth heads. They barely have enough power to rent temple space, let alone manipulate nations, and there is no knowledge they have that you cannot learn by googling their 'secret' books. The occult is not dark evil blood magic and literal child sacrifice (which by the way started to be A Thing people think when Crowley described jerking off as killing babies and no one got the joke), it's pdfs on VK and a lot of drugs. You're definitely right that it's linked to the mind, though. But like I said, it's not secret. You can buy the satanic bible on amazon for christ's sake.
    Secondly, I want to put out there that the way Lynch depicts the spirits and the spirit world in its various incarnations is hauntingly accurate to how these things present themselves in the real world - if you even consider magic to be real in any capacity. That scene in the Mauve Zone where cooper meets naido for the first time - that's how it feels. That's what it's like. It was almost disturbing to see it put to film, like watching a recording of your own dream. Also watch the deleted scene of the spirits talking in the convenience store in FWWM. That is EXACTLY how they talk and how they act. It's uncanny. I know Lynch is into transcendental meditation but he definitely either had this type of experience personally or talked to someone who did. I imagine he must have some reason to take such care in presenting these things, and it's probably not because the spirits are just a metaphor for human evil. I think Lynch has probably experimented more with the occult than he lets on - it's not surprising that he specifically chose to cast David Bowie for FWWM, dude was really into this stuff too. Also worth noting that Windom Earle's promise to devour Cooper's soul in S2 mirrors real-world Sabbatic techniques to devour the souls of interlopers at the witch's sabbath, the same general current of magic that contains walpurgisnacht.
    The theme of the left and right-hand paths is very prominent, another duality. This is a dichotomy some people use to separate different schools of thought in the occult - the left hand is sexual, violent, empowerment of the ego, the underworld, etc. The right hand is more about purification, ascent to a higher state of being, union with the divine, and death of the ego. It's always stood out to me that cooper and briggs have mirror narratives on opposite sides of this dichotomy - both are good, virtuous men who work for the government and get wrapped up in this spirit world, disappearing for 25 years. But Briggs, studying space and UFOs, associated with a 'higher' plane, goes to the white lodge after his head, the seat of intellect and enlightenment, is freed from his body. Cooper, meanwhile, physically descends via Owl Cave into the black lodge, the left hand path of sex and violence embodied by his rapist doppelganger. He mirrors Briggs in Cole's dream with no face, no head, just a body, the seat of carnal vice. Judy, ruler of the black lodge, is a clear analogy to Babalon, the Thelemic goddess referenced in the secret history, embodying the left hand path as a Red Queen archetype. The Red Queen is the violent, sexual, feral, and devouring facet of the Divine Feminine. In the white lodge, we have the Fireman, ruler(?) of the white lodge, who could represent her opposite in the Black King or Man In Black as the Divine Masculine, the teacher spirit who tests and trials initiates before revealing the deeper mysteries.
    It's pretty surface-level interpretation but you gotta have these things in mind if you're gonna treat the spirits as literal spirits. You kinda glazed over their involvement despite their prominence in the lore/plot so hopefully some of this helps.
    Also, the synchronicity is so fucking real. After I finished watching the return and was being haunted by thoughts of Judy, the first song I heard on the radio was Hey Jude and it scared the pants off me. If I was a few years younger and a little bit cringier I'd accuse Lynch of being a magician using twin peaks as a hypersigil, but I think this type of thing just happens when something knows how to poke the surface and make ripples.
    Sorry for the dissertation, I just can't talk about this stuff in junction too much. My friends who like twin peaks aren't magicians and my friends who are magicians don't watch twin peaks.

      y'all should look into Kenneth Grant's Mauve Zone shit

    • @TbcDIRTe
      @TbcDIRTe 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      just read the beginning of Chapter 6 "The Mauve Zone" of The Dark Lord which is this book about Kenneth Grant. I read about him back when The Return aired because people were calling the room cooper is in with Naido "The Mauve Zone".
      "IN THE LATER VOLUMES OF the Typhonian Trilogies, Grant reprises the sexo-magical rituals we have already described and demonstrates how they can be used to penetrate the veils that conceal from
      our sight the vast reaches of deep space and deep time. In fact, he cites other magicians who-he
      claims-have already penetrated those veils and opened a hole in the earth's protective atmosphere
      allowing the entry of the Old Ones. In other words, they have opened a Gate.
      This dangerous process certainly was begun by Crowley, but later was amplified by his American
      follower Jack Parsons. Grant claims that the atomic explosions of 1945 disturbed the delicate
      psychic membrane covering our planet to the extent that other forces began massing at the rent in the
      veil and by 1947 began pouring through in greater and greater numbers. This, of course, was the
      UFO phenomenon which Grant links directly to the type of magical operations begun by Crowley and
      continued by his followers. This is a scenario straight out of H. P. Lovecraft and especially, “The
      Call of Cthulhu.”
      As always throughout this study, we have to remember that events that take place in the “real”
      world are mirrors of events that transpire in the inner, invisible, or secret world and that these two
      worlds influence each other in ways that are not obvious to any but the most dedicated adept ... or
      most paranoid conspiracy theorist. There is, in fact, little difference between the world view of the
      occultist and the nagging fears of the conspiracy theorist; except that the occultist has a more positive
      approach to the same material, seeing in the activities of the sinister forces that influence world
      events (as well as personal ones) the possibility of reversing the process through an act of will
      coupled with a knowledge of technique.
      It is this realm of the invisible world that occupies us in this chapter, for it is the backdrop against
      which all of the theory and practice takes place. In a sense, we can call this world R'lyeh, to use
      Lovecraft's designation for the secret city below the ocean waves where Cthulhu waits, dead but
      dreaming."
      But to Kenneth Grant, it is the Mauve Zone.

      _"Nature is a whore." In Bloom by K. Cobain_
      There was bottleneck around 50,000 years ago when the number of mating pairs of homo sapiens was reduced to just under ten thousand, following the eruption of a super-colossal volcano.
      "violence against women " ---- unfortunately(?) for millennia, it has meant the propagation of the species. It can be difficult to comprehend that love was a MUCH more recent development compared to propagation. We've been fuckin' for over a billion years, indeed - but loving? For barely a few thousand, if we can even remember back that far. Morals are an extremely recent luxury. One might be even feel thankful for having some morals, from time to time.
      One of the great challenges to civilization is in recognizing that as awful rape is/was/may be, a very uncomfortable fact is in how rape was ~also~ how we managed to stave off extinction; by sudden, unyielding copulation - just as animals do. In some respect, it's the most natural thing in the world.

      @@CoryTV When I first saw your Twelve rainbow trouts video, I had a feeling that you might be a great Twin Peaks analyzer. Now after watching this video, I have to say that I was wrong. You are much better than I thought. I have studied all the subjects in this video for a long long time, but you managed to give me tons of new information. And most of which I agree and I suppose nothing that I oppose.
      I strongly suggest continuing making Twin Peaks videos, and perhaps Stanley Kubrick videos, of whom I have researched more than anything else. Dig as deep into the rabbit hole as you can, those of us who really know what you are talking about appreciate it and continue on spreading the knowledge. Aka it has the most benefit to our society.
      And don't be afraid of current day political climate etc. because the audience that could understand your videos are intelligent enough to not be brainwashed by that. And those that wouldn't understand you anyway wont matter.
      After 12 rainbow trout, I was waiting like kid for a Christmas for your new videos and you really didn't disappoint. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I really hope to hear from you, even from the form of short videos.
      PS. I have studied close to decade for conspiracies. 911 was occult ritual planned before the buildings were even build. Those Twin Peaks' are the twin pillars of masonry. 2001 A Space Odyssey is the first movie to foretold of what's going to happen and why. And since then, all Kubrick films (except Barry Lyndon) have 911 information in them, way too obvious and too much to be anything but deliberate. Back to the Future, same thing, Die Hard trilogy, and of course the Twin Peaks is FULL of 911 information. The footage of the planes is pretty crappy CGI, perhaps cruise missiles or drones were used, or just explosives and energy weapons. 911 was made confusing on purpose, and there are lots of dead end traces on that. But one thing is certain, energy weapons were used, and planes could not bring those buildings down anyway, and Pentagon certainly wasn't hit by a plane, and there were no plane crash in the field. David Lynch is the most Kubrickian director since Kubrick himself, and he has tons of references to Kubrick.
      Explosives, easy to prove by just looking the footage and it shows on earthquake meters. Energy weapons are easy to prove by the molten engine blocks of dozens/hundreds of cars, and it's the only thing that explains the "laser cutted" hole that went through the whole of WTC 6 and the way the twin towers collapsed, which is different from controlled demolition. Also it explains why there was so little debris and the way the columns got bend.
      These weapons are the Reagan's star wars project's results, though they most likely existed before but were perfected in the 80s. Do yourself a favor and at least google the molten car engines and WTC 6 hole. On my over decade long journey in the 911, one thing has been constant. Energy weapons (and explosives also obviously) are the final destination where nobody migrates to any other theory on 911. The evidence is just so overwhelming, and nothing else even remotely could explain WTC 6, molten engines when the car isn't even burnt etc.

      Lynch is completely done with the story, canonically. And half of the cast is either dead or retired. If any more TP is commercially made, it will be a branded revival, a la Disney StarWars. That said, there is plenty of room for fan-fiction, at least.

    Man... I cried when I saw this.
    I am from Costa Rica and also see so many connections with this show and our lives.
    I would really like to talk to you. I think you're onto something.

    A lot of my conversations recently have been less of an analysis of Twin Peaks and more an analysis of Twin Peaks Analysis to the point that I’m considering starting a channel about it. It’d be a mixture of me monologuing and also talking to interesting folks re: Twin Peaks. Would you ever be up for an in-line TH-cam live dialogue ?

    I raise my golden shovel to you, Cory. This has got to be the most penetrating Peaks analysis i’ve ever seen.

      Thanks Ian. It seems like it was another lifetime ago when I tried to explain all this to you whilst drinking at a party.

    Could you do a video about Mark Frost and his work? He's the cocreator but I'm far less knowledgable of his style and approach compared to Lynch, who's influence is far more visible.

      Well, a lot is just assumptions on mine (and others) parts-- as far as I know, there's very little published about who exactly does what with twin peaks, or how their process works, but you can make a lot of assumptions from reading The Secret History, watching Twin Peaks and Lynch's other works that don't include frost.. Essentially, if the structure fits together and there's clever little clues and references to real world esoteric things that cannot be coincidence, that's Frost, not lynch. The depth of Secret History shows the kind of mind he has.. It's incredible. My ADD ass feels so inadequate.

    Bedtime for me at an hour 50 so dunno if you approach this at all but I was always fascinated by the Cole/Shelley story, but the appearance of the woman in the red dress reminded me of the phrase Cole used (not exact, by any means) "the kind of woman that made you wish you spoke a little French" and wasn't the Belluci dream set in Paris. Is there a subtle French thing going on as well?

      This is a good catch. This came before the Belluci Dream in the series, I'm pretty sure, so the whole idea is that this should connect the idea of dreams to the judy garland black&w/red connection.. Thanks!
